Andrew's Steak and Seafood Ratings and Reviews
Went there for Valentine's Day dinner. Would NEVER, NEVER return. My filet was overcooked, dry, and had NO taste, zero. I can go to Longhorns and get a much better steak, for much less. Never had a mgr come by the table and check on us. The smoke in the casino is terrible. I was told they spent money for a filtration system to remove the smoke. Doesn't work. A bad night at a high price. One and done. Don
Simply one of the best meals I have ever had. I was so impressed when the Chef came to the table and personally asked us how our evening was. I was hosting business clients and they were all so blown away with the food and service. I had the 12 ounce Filet, cooked perfect Medium Rare. The wine list had some real favorites and nicely priced at that. Thank You to the team at Andrew's for making me look good!!
Came here with family for Winter Restaurant Week. It is definitely a nice quiet spot to get away from all the noise of the casino.
The service was excellent and they had a nice selection available for Restaurant Week. The table ordered the salmon tartare as an appetizer, it was spicy but very good. And a good portion size compared to some fine-dining establishments.
From the Restaurant Week menu I ordered the spicy sausage scotch egg, filet with polenta, and chocolate mousse bombe. The scotch egg was not very good. It lacked flavor and there was no spice to it at all. I ordered the filet medium-rare and it was done perfectly and tasted great. The polenta was delicious as well, and I usually am not a fan of it. The chocolate mousse bombe hit the spot with extra sweetness.
Now I will say my husband ordered a dry-aged NY strip off the regular menu and I was surprised when I tried a few bites how tough his steak was, he had ordered medium-rare as well. After we left he even said he debated sending it back to the kitchen but was so hungry he just wanted to eat and not cause a problem.
Andrew's was worth going to with the discount of Restaurant Week, but I don't think it's worth the money in general. I did appreciate the quiet so will definitely make a stop in here for a few drinks when I'm at the casino.
We had a very nice dinner, trying some new dishes. Their crab/cucumber salad, french onion soup and mushroom risotto were very good! The burgers at another table were huge, and friends got them. We opted for walleye and scallop entrees, which were also very good but much smaller than expected (the scallops were described with corn, which we assumed was a side dish, but it was a few kernels on the plate with a sauce). So make sure to ask about the portions. The views are great, not a bad seat. We have recommended to others.
This is the third consecutive year we have gone to Andrew's for dinner on Christmas. We go for Christmas because we know we will get amazing food and extremely attentive service every time we go. On this visit, both the food and service once again exceeded our expectations, which were very high based on our previous experiences at Andrew's.
The only disappointment for us was the ambience. In past years, it really felt festive, like the restaurant was celebrating the holiday with us. We found with this visit that the dining room was not decorated at all for the holidays this year. They had a very minimal special Christmas menu to accompany the regular menu, but this year's Christmas menu had even omitted the special cocktails they used to create for the occasion. The festive atmosphere we appreciated in the past was simply not present this year.
It was a fabulous meal, but the dining experience was one we could have had any evening there. I wish it had been like previous years, when it really felt like we were all celebrating the holiday.
Excellent steaks. Very good seasonal soup. Given quality of other food, wedge salad was really weak and pricey. Sides were very good. Bread was very good with nice variety. Beers were not cold enough. Bottles needed to be chilled longer. Crab cake accompaniment had plenty of crab but much more fishy than a crab cake typically is. Overall still very solid. And again, steaks were superb
Two of the people in my party ordered steak and were v. please with it.
I ordered walleye and was not pleased with it. The fish was overly cooked; so it not moist. Some of the walleye was burnt on the outside which was very disappointing. Normally I love walleye because it's such a good tasting fish, but this walleye did not have good flavor.
The waiter was excellent. The atmosphere was v. nice and quiet. I do think, though, that for Christmas Day there should have been some Christmas songs playing in the background. There wasn't any Christmas atmosphere in the restaurant. Had I known this and because of the disappointing walleye, I would not have selected Andrews for our expensive Christmas dinner.
I would not return to Andrews.
Flavor You Crave in a steak. I had the bone-in ribeye and my husband had the filet. Both were excellent. We shared Wedge Salad, and Potatoe and hubby had french onion soup. Again all were delicious!!
35 Years of marraige celebrated at Andrew's...worth every penny!~!
We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was great the waitress was on top of it. The only thing is that it was freezing where we were sitting. So the manager came out and said that he would take care of it but he never did. We want on Thanksgiving so the temp outside was around 30 degrees. Not sure why they had the air conditioner on. But other than it was good.
This was our first trip to Andrew’s. We loved everything about it. The ribeye was fantastic! We highly recommend the Brussel sprouts, and cauliflower gratin as accompaniments. Randy provided incredible service! We will definitely visit this restaurant again.
