Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
I have never been disappointed when visiting AMIK and have never done anything other than the Chef's taster menu as I know I'd feel as if I had missed out if I didn't have that smorgasbord of flavour staying with me till I got home. If you've not done it with the wine pairing then were the friendly team walk you through the construction of both food and wine then you've been cheating on your taste buds. I guarantee that if you try it once you will never go elsewhere for that really special occasion.
A truly fabulous dining experience on all levels ... delicious food, awesome service, wonderful atmosphere!
It was our first time at this restaurant celebrating a birthday and the evening couldn't have been better!
Our server was extremely knowledgable and attentive, and truly enhanced our meal!
The food was such a delight to so many senses and every selection was amazing!
Memphis is quite fortunate, and should celebrate Chefs Andrew and Michael and their various restaurants ... all of which rival very fine offerings of renowned chefs in New York, Chicago and New Orleans.
Andrew Micheal's is a very nice restaurant, the food is very imaginative and of the best quality. But the service is some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Our server was not only poised and charming, but was trained by the back kitchen in the most detailed explanation of the contents, methods and overall experience of each dish. I highly recommend this restaurant.
A creative ingenuity of delectable delights that will astound and tantalize the tastebuds of the most finicky. Knowledgeable waitstaff for delivery of dishes, as well as, wine pairing and promise of future returns. A place not to be be missed and to be visited often. Cheers to the chef, staff and owners. A Memphis treasure.
We went there for my dad's birthday and it was wonderful! Our server was Amanda and she was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. Everything I got was so tasty! The only thing I was disappointed about was that they charge for a birthday dessert. I have never seen a place that does that. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to return!
One of my favorite restaurants ever. Creative, inventive and delicious with an attention to detail and craftsmanship that is rarely found anywhere. It's obvious these guys love what they do and it shows. Great service , great care, great place. Highly recommended for any occasion
I expected more! The chicken was very unappealing (all white with a brown sauce on top). The soup was very thin and watery....not as I imagined an Italian bean soup would be. The appetizers were excellent......a meat, cheese and vegetable assortment. Our waiter was also excellent.
Saw this restaurant on a list of best 25 Italian restaurants in the US and it is clear why! The food was excellent blending different ingredients to create an amazing taste experience! Started with meat platter and a veggie platter for apps. We had the ravioli and gnocchi for first courses. I ordered the veal, and my hubby had the Golden Tile. Sticky pudding and panna cotta were ordered for dessert. All were amazing. The staff was outstanding, all working as a team. It's a must.
Had AM Breakfast Appetizer. Watery grits (polenta) with a poached egg and some pork belly and pork rinds. Not worth $12 and not that tasty. I had Maw Maw's ravioli with meat gravy (actually sort of bolognese) it was tasty. The martini was served in a coupe glass which I've never liked. The soso wine was overpriced. Not going back.
We had been to this restaurant two years ago and had the chef's tasting menu which was delicious and it was the best dining experience we ever had in Memphis. This years my husband's mother paid us a visit from France and we came here as we knew she would love the food and the wine selection and Andrew Michaels did not disappoint. We came in with a cranky baby which made us think that the waitress and other guests would get annoyed but our waitress went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and was great with her service. My mother in law could not stop talking about the experience and we all came back extremely pleased with our experience
