We have visited Carmel for years, however this restaurant has only been in town for 2 1/2 years. We liked the Open Table information, so selected it. GREAT CHOICE! Although it was Tuesday in January (That's a local phrase) we dined in style. There was only two other couples in the restaurant, so we had plenty of time with our waitress, LOUREN (?). She was superb! Friendly, smart, attentive and cared about us. Throughout the dinner, we engaged her in conversation. She recommended a local wine to us which we thoroughly enjoyed. She has been at the restaurant for 2 + years and is married to the Executive Chef. A great couple. My wife and I discussed our evening as we drove back to our motel and both agreed is was the highlight of our visit to Carmel. We will tell others about Andre Bouchee's Bistro and will return again, ourselves. Sure hope Louren will be there to greet us!

This is the most charming restaurant and the perfect neighborhood gem.
Very nice place with good service, a little over priced for what you get.
We've been before but this visit was way off. It seemed like they were very short staffed. Our meals were not excellent, just ordinary. We were sorely disappointed.
The only thing I can complain about is the time it took for our entrees to arrive. We waited 30 + minutes which caused our lateness to our concert. Not the waitstaff fault, the wine list was also expensive but very good, nice sommelier!
The food is fresh, deliciously made and beautifully presented. Meet the expectation of a French Bistro.
We enjoyed everything about our New Year's Eve dinner with family at Andre's Bouchee -- the food was absolutely delicious, service was attentive and very friendly, and the atmosphere was great! We had a wonderful time! We're looking forward to visiting again next time we're in Carmel.

This has become one of our favorites in Carmel. Great menu, great service, very comfortable - just love it! We shared the house made pate, which was great, both had the cream of mushroom soup, which is the best ever; I had the rack of lamb and hubby had the steak au poivre. The lamb was perfectly prepared, and served over a bed of roasted baby root veggies, which were exquisite! Would have loved to have to dessert, but dinner was too good to leave any behind.
