The Calamari is the best in town. Light and fried perfectly. I have the Red Snapper grilled with crabmeat on top. The turtle soup was very good too.
Very disappointed. Food was fair. Server apologized as our food was given to another table. Frankly we have had higher quality Italian food at lower prices at other local restaurants.
I haven’t been here since December 1999, and it’s still a great Italian restaurant. I bought Chef Andreas book back in ‘99 and bought another one Tuesday night. Chef stopped by our table and we had a great chat. We love it here and wish we didn’t live so far away!
We came for Sunday Brunch. Lots of breakfast items on the menu in addition to the regular lunch items. Had the corned beef hash with poached eggs. Absolutely delicious.
Service was wonderful as always. Really appreciate how I kept getting refills on my bottomless Mimosa without having to ask.
What a wonderful evening! The food at Andrea’s is consistently delicious. And everyone there is so friendly. We always enjoy that moment when Chef Andrea stops by our table to check on us. Such a lovely personal touch
Great Easter meal. Very very crowded. Food was good. Service was on slow side due to the many people eating. Will go back many times.
Had to wait 35 minutes past my reservation time to be seated. I understand there can be delays on Easter. But that seemed to be a bit much. Had to ask for bread plates when our bread arrived. Had to continually ask for water refills. On a busy day like that, someone should be patrolling the restaurant with a pitcher of water. Wait staff seemed overwhelmed. One server took our plates and silverware when we finished our salads, but didn’t bring us new silverware. When our entrees arrived, we had to ask for new silverware from our original server and had to wait for it because he was stretched to the brink. The online Easter menu showed an Eat Fit salmon entree. I was looking forward to it as I’m on a sodium restricted diet. The restaurant menu didn’t say if the salmon was Eat Fit. I took my chances (I get vertigo from too much sodium) and ordered it anyway, but asked for no added salt on my food. As far as I could tell, no salt was added. But it was swimming in butter. So much for Eat Fit. My strawberry shortcake had one strawberry on it. One strawberry. Restaurant looks like it hasn’t been updated since it opened in 1985.
We were immediately seated at our scheduled time. Ordered drinks prior to food. Waited 40 minutes for first drinks. had to request water refills. Server apologized. Think maybe he was new. Food was good.
The food was delicious. Our server was entertaining. Everything was served I’m a timely manor. Nice ambience.
Always an enjoyable experience at Andrea's. He does not disappoint.
He is always in attendance to ensure a consistent high quality dining experience.
The restaurant was warm and inviting.Food was excellent, I have veal and bolanais
Service was a little slow. Canonil good but had better.
Can,t go wrong if you crave Italian food. It is tops.
As always, the food was fantastic. But something had to be going on in the kitchen. The wait staff was even complaining about the extended times for delivering food to the tables. We didn’t order for 20-minutes. The salad took 45-minutes to get from that point. Then the entrees took another 30-minutes after that. The waiter kept apologizing.
Great; enjoyed everything.
Was a wonderful date nightWe will be back. Love the bar as well.
Very enjoyable. Great food, great service and the owner came by to speak.
Everything was very good, food & service
Presentation was poor and food looked sloppy on the plates. The waiter only asked half the table what drinks they wanted. Service was exceptionally slow. They were out of 2 of the 6 dessert choices. For $150 and a limited menu 3 course meal, I expected better.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Special Valentines menu but had a series of options.
Always a wonderful experience with outstanding food and amazing service.
This is the second time that the people ( waiters) make us feel like we do not belong at the place, food was good unfortunately the atmosphere was unpleasant
I loved Andrea's!!! We went for Valentines day and it was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy. The service is amazing, and the staff is so welcoming. My friends and I are doing girls night next week. I definitely want to make this a routine in my culinary life!!!
Steaks were overcooked and ravioli's were undercooked
Spaghetti and meatballs—heaven! And enough for dinner, too!
Service was way off on a Sunday afternoon. Our primary waiter barely noticed us. We sat too long initially, then was taken care of by Robert (assistant?) I guess our waiter had bigger concerns at another table to even engage in any small talk. Food was great, but I doubt we will go back.
So glad that we went at the last minute.... Andrea came to our table to say hello and thanked us for coming..... Food was great !!!!
Waiter was an experienced pro...no rushing us. Great recipes. All good.
The food was sub-par. The wait for the food was long and it wasn’t great
The food and overall experience were very good but nothing special. That said, it is one of the few places in the New Orleans area where you can get many Italian dishes. Nearly every other “Italian” restaurant in the area is Creole/Italian.
From the time we arrived to the time we left everything was perfect, excellent customer service, very attentive, and they constantly check on you to make sure your not lacking anything, the food was amazing. I’d recommend this place to anyone for any occasion!
Always outstanding. Charbroiled Oysters are the best
We first started in the bar and it was Happy Hour til 7pm of which the bartender Chris made us aware. He made two dirty Martini's in chilled glasses, the only way Martini's should be made and they were excellent! We follow up with dinner in the dining room which had white table clothes. true sign of an upscale restaurant. We had the eggplant appetizer which was topped with crabmeat, excellent. I had the veal scaloppini, veal was tender in a nice brown sauce, northern Italian style. My wife had the shrimp with spaghetti in a red sauce which was wonderful. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend Andrea's.
Overall great experience server was pleasant and helpful
Delicious! Never disappoints. I had the Pompano and my friend had the Prime Rib.
Excellent meal and service.
Excellent service. Food was incredible, fresh and very well prepared. Only small
observation was the lobster I ordered was very small...but it may have been the
only one left in tank. But it was delicious. We definitely would go back, and I hope
I hadn’t been here in probably 20 years, and was sad to see a lot of the
Main dishes we loved were no longer being served- bruschetta, prosciutto and melon, white chocolate mousse cups dessert. It was just a very underwhelming experience.
I was so excited to go to Andreas with all the reviews. I must say it was average with lack of service. One lady to wait on the whole restaurant. Food average- I was expecting much better.
I will not give up! I will try again!
I made reservation in bar because website said there was music early in evening. No where did it say the piano would not be used on New Years Eve. The reservation was for bar for this reason. I reconfirmed reservation for bar area that day but when we arrived there wasn’t a table for us. They put us at high table which I had specified I didn’t want earlier in day. To add to disappointment the menu on line was different from what was offered.
The noise level was so loud it was difficult to talk. I am very disappointed in restaurant and feel website needs to state changes or at least reservation representatives should mention variations in services.
Service was great and waiter was very nice . Crab cake was delicious . Filet was cooked awesome but needed better side for New Years dinner .
