Overall great experience server was pleasant and helpful
Delicious! Never disappoints. I had the Pompano and my friend had the Prime Rib.
Excellent meal and service.
Excellent service. Food was incredible, fresh and very well prepared. Only small
observation was the lobster I ordered was very small...but it may have been the
only one left in tank. But it was delicious. We definitely would go back, and I hope
soon!
I hadn’t been here in probably 20 years, and was sad to see a lot of the
Main dishes we loved were no longer being served- bruschetta, prosciutto and melon, white chocolate mousse cups dessert. It was just a very underwhelming experience.
I made reservation in bar because website said there was music early in evening. No where did it say the piano would not be used on New Years Eve. The reservation was for bar for this reason. I reconfirmed reservation for bar area that day but when we arrived there wasn’t a table for us. They put us at high table which I had specified I didn’t want earlier in day. To add to disappointment the menu on line was different from what was offered.
The noise level was so loud it was difficult to talk. I am very disappointed in restaurant and feel website needs to state changes or at least reservation representatives should mention variations in services.
Service was great and waiter was very nice . Crab cake was delicious . Filet was cooked awesome but needed better side for New Years dinner .
I thought the food was ordinary and the service while pleasant lacked the efficiency of many restaurants in town.
Nice restaurant even though a bit old school. We had a vegan in our party and the restaurant seemed confused how to make a simple dish with pasta and veggies and no meat. The waitress brought stale cold bread to the table until I send it back and get fresh warm bread. Had to ask 3 times before it came to the table. Overall, not bad, but definitely not great when paying $180 for a two person meal.
Andrea's Christmas Dinner menu was one of the best we could find in the NO area. The entire staff provided our family with excellent food and service. The whole experience was top notch, the ambiance was perfect and we will most certainly return to Andrea's in the near future.
Thank you!
We've always had a wonderful meal year and due to circumstances out of our control were not able to have our normal Christmas with family celebration so we thought a nice dinner would help lift our spirits. We were looking forward to this meal all week. I was unaware the restaurant intended to pack itself as much as possible to the point of overextended. Nor did I realize such a terrible table existed in this restaurant, I eventually moved our table over so the servers would have room to walk food and dishes to the back without hitting my daughter every time. The food was just bad, we didn't eat it, and took the dessert to go. The entire area was covered by one server who I imagine forgot about us because multiple tables who sat after us ate long before us while we just sat patiently until our drinks and waters were gone and eventually flagged her down.
Great restaurant - one of the best in the New Orleans area. Food was just outstandinbg. Price was very very good. Highly recommeded!
Our family tried to be patient understanding the horrid situation that restaurants have endured just trying to survive in 2020.
The restaurant was packed with people on top of one another to the point where we 2 guests that could not back up to get out of your chair without hitting the chairs at another table. No way was the place even close to the Phase 2 guidelines.
Service and food were beyond horrible. I have eaten at Andrea's dozens of times over the years and this was by far the worse food I can recall. The crab and corn bisque was cold and had too many crab shells. The fish dish had cold clumpy "sauce" and looked like it had been sitting in the corner for over an hour. The red sauce was so thin that it looked thinner than tomato juice. Then the bread pudding showed up at the end of almost a 2 hour long meal (and this was not a long drinking dining experience) and was hard as a rock. We finally said enough and sent it back. The highlight of the meal was the replacement desert which was a chocolate cake.
A meal for 5 people should not cost $350 and be a total train wreck. I was not the only person at the table that had bad cold food.
And the men's restroom was filthy, overflowing with paper towesl, and a broken toilet that had apparently overflowed onto the floor.
The place was a total 180 degree turn to the worse from our 2019 Thanksgiving experience.
best choice for a great meal during the holiday season

Had our Christmas eve dinner at Andrea's. Food was good, but not worth the overall cost of the experience.
Had to wait 2 hours to receive our appetizers. Main course waited another hour. Food quality was poor for the price. Will not go back.
The food was excellent as always and the service too.
Lovely atmosphere for our night out! Dinner was amazing, from salad to dessert.
Very disappointed in the service. Lunch took 2 1/2 hours and we had to cancel dessert because it was taking so long.
Picking up our daughter from the airport. Stopped in for a bite before a drive to the NS. Started in the Blue barfir a glass of wine and enjoyed the live music. Then to the restaurant. We all loved everything!!!
Enjoyed a great nite.. Food and service were excellent..
Picked up daughter and her boyfriend at airport and took them to a light dinner before we went back across the lake and they went into NO.
Very accommodating- other places wouldn’t accept a larger group. Food was good and so was the service. Will return.
we had a party of 10. The service was friendly, and attentive. But mostly the food was fantastic. Appetizer to Entree everyone in the party commented on how good their dish was. Planning to eat there on my next visit home.
Had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner here. Extensive menu and lovely setting. Food was good.
We dined at Andrea’s for Thanksgiving lunch. The food was fantastic. The service was impeccable. I love the family atmosphere of Andrea’s. I love how obvious it is that the chef puts his heart and soul into the restaurant. Andrea practically lives at this restaurant. He is always there, welcoming guests. We had a wonderful meal and felt right at home.
The service was extremely slow and the food really under seasoned. I would recommend if they fix these issues.
Lovely place ...a gem for sure.
The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and the chef himself came out to say hello.
Incredible food, wonderful old New Orleans atmosphere and great service. The chef came by our table to check on us. Such a nice touch and much appreciated. We had the chargrilled oysters, escargot, and eggplant and crab cake for appetizers. All amazing. The crab cake was the best I have ever had - and I am from Louisiana. Our dinners were the Osso Bucco, Crab Ravioli, Lasagna and Spaghetti and Meatballs - the very best. We represented Louisiana, Colorado and Mississippi and loved every bite.
Never had a bad experience at Andrea’s. Everything was delicious!!! Service is great!!
It was awesome! We all loved everything!’
The outdoor dining was lovely , we had a very attentive waiter along with a lovely meal.
Service was really slow
Everything was great for my birthday lunch. The waiter offered to let us move which I did not want to be a burden so I said no but it was really very noisy. The waiter was great though. The food was delicious!
Excellent in every way, our server, John was professional and courteous and helpful.
Due to the COVID situation, this was our first time out to eat during the start of it all. Everything was well situated, tables were apart, all wore masks and we felt relaxed.
Dinner was excellent
We will return here
The food was outstanding. I had the cannelloni, calamari, bread, caesar salad, and bread pudding. The service was good but not great. The value was outstanding. I will definitely return.
Loved Andrea’s, hidden gem in Metairie. Very attentive wait staff and Andrea greets all of the customers. Very nice quiet restaurant with excellent food and service.
Andreas is overall an exceptional restaurant. The Food Service & Staff are second to none! Andrea himself makes a point to come and talk with his customers. We highly recommend this place.
We had not been to Andreas in a long time and have been hearing good things about it lately, so decided to go. I had the Osso Buco, my husband had the grilled veal chop. Our daughter had the ravioli. She complained that the ravioli was too al dente. The pasta that came with our veal dishes was also dry and stuck together like it had been sitting for a while. We ordered the grilled oyster appetizer and the oysters were nearly raw. They weren't even hot. The veg on our dishes was fantastic. We had a nice dinner and a nice time, but the devil is in the details and I expect the pasta, at least, to be perfect at Andrea's. These little glitches won't deter us from going back, though. We enjoyed it for the most part.
Anniversary dinner- perfect!
