Wonderful place, everyone tries their best to make you feel like they are willing to do what's appropriate to make the meal a memorable experience.
Excellent food and service. The puppy drum was cooked to perfection.
Great food and service
Incredibly loud by a table in the middle of the restaurant .
Nice atmosphere. Cuisine was tasty except for the snapper. It was bland. Service was inconsistent. Will go back.
Drag Brunch was Out of this world! Absolutely amazing! Good and service also outstanding!
The food was de ent, just not what I was expecting. The bread pudding was small and plain. It said white chocolate sauce and there was none. The chocolate cakes was mostly chocolate pudding or mousse. Seafood chowder was plain and the shrimp tasted frozen.
Chef Andrea came to our table! It was really great to meet him!
My best friend thoroughly enjoyed her birthday!
The baked brie was amazing and she Loved the lamb.
Everything was delicious! Two of us had the Soft Shell Crab over Angel Hair Pasta. The other two diners had the Trout, one was Almondine and I believe the other had Crabmeat and a muniere sauce. The choices were enjoyed by all. Service was wonderful. A visit to the table from Chef Andrea was lovely.
Andreas is consistently delicious.
We came in for a leisurely lunch at Andrea's, and were very pleased with the service, ambiance and of course the delicious food provided. We recommend Andrea's highly.
Service was disappointing. Soup came out minutes before entree after a long wait between appetizers and the main.
We arrived on time. Ordered $25 lunch special. Service was extremely slow. Salads ok. Soup ok. Told no more Veal Cacciatore special after 30-40 minutes of waiting for entrée. We were very disappointed. Waiter went back to kitchen, returned and said chef would make more, FROM SCRATCH. He failed to tell us it would be over an hour before it would be ready. Over an hour later, entry arrived. The cacciatore sauce was bland. The veal was tender. The fettucine noodles, were not cooked enough. Too "dente" for all of us.
The talking in the restaurant was so loud, we could not hear each other unless we leaned forward, almost across the table, to hear each other. All of us had fond memories of past great meals at Andreas. Unfortunately, we will not be returning again.
It was OK, but the web site indicated that the Father's Day menu included Ossu Buco and it in fact did not! That was a main reason we went there.
Never going again.
Were there an hour and a half and still didn’t have meal. Service was terrible. After telling the manager she acted like she could care less. We left without eating.
Wonderful night listening to Suzaune sing in the Blue Bar! We also visited with Chef Andrea himself!
Very busy, waitstaff was understaffed, service was slow. Charbroiled Oysters were warmed oysters and gritty on the half shell, not what I expected for $ 23.
Veal Picatta was okay. When you’re spending premium prices on dinner, especially when you have a group, service is a part of the whole experience as well as the quality of the food.
Appetizers and initial drink orders came out promptly but after that the whole dinner went downhill. One person in our group ordered a pizza and specically asked for it to come out with the rest of the entrees. The pizza came out a few minutes after the appetizers. It then took an hour and a half for the rest of our entrees to arrive. During that time the table next to us had their drinks on their table knocked over when the careless waiter crashed into their table. They appeared to get their appetizers but faced the same inexcusably long wait and left without getting their entrees. When our other 3 entrees finally arrived, two of them were ravioli dishes which an Italian restraunt should have down pat. No... both of them were vastly undercooked and inedible. We asked that they fix them (this is now past 9pm when we arrived for a 730pm reservation). The dishes were brought back to the kitchen and brought back about 5 minutes later.... in exactly the same condition. I think the "cooks" just microwaved them for a minute and sent them back to our table.
Ultimately the nice dinner for the four of us was ruined as one person had their entree served more than an hour before everyone elses, we waited more than and hour and a half to get the other food, and 2 of the 3 dishes were not edible.
My first and absolute last time ever coming here.
First time trying and was not impressed. Food was mediocre and took a long time to come. Two of four meals did not come to the table correctly and were sent back. Server tried hard but talked to much and said kitchen was backed up. She had too many tables to give timely service.
Very good service and always fresh, homemade pasta!
not my best dinning experience. First on entering although the main dining area was only 1/3 occupied, we were seat in a small adjacent area. The main dining area was never more than 1/3 occupied. I did not get entree that I ordered, but rather the soup I order as an appetizer as my entree. My guest was disappointed in his entree based on the sauce.
We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary. They even sang Happy Anniversary to in Italian. We made the right choice to eat at Andrea's
The food was great and our server King was the best! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Food was outstanding. Service was paced well and friendly. Always kept your water glass full! The food was amazing! Highly recommended.
Food and service were great. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we got there, not a big deal. But then we sat at our table for an entire hour before dinner came.
ENJOYED THE FOOD AND SERVICE. YOU MUST TRY THE DUCK, IT WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION. THE CRAB CAKES ARE GREAT.
The menu was extensive, with so many great dishes it was hard to choose. The grouper was the best fish I’ve had in New Orleans. Our server was very attentive, and Andrea came by our table to check that we were satisfied with everything. My whiskey sour was perfectly balanced. Highly recommend.
Love patronizing a Metairie restaurant that has endured for many years.
Seeing Chef Andrea always makes my evening!
Andrea should be ashamed of himself, high prices low quality food
Service was not good took 1/2 hour to get the blt. of wine I ordered was ready to walkout. In hindsight should have. It has been awhile since we recieved bad service anywhere. Food was ok not great.. do not order the Duck it has a lot of fat and small portion. It was not worth the price...
We had another fabulous evening and meal at Andrea’s! Our server, Chloe made excellent recommendations and remained friendly and attentive throughout the meal! The three course special was exceptional and offered great choices!
My husband and I and 3 other couples dined on 5/15. Our table was ready upon arrival. Chef Andrea greeted us at our table. Our server was most likely overwhelmed because the restaurant filled up fast. It was very noisy. The tomato in the caprese was not fully ripe and the cake in the tiramisu was dry. I added a few spoonsful of coffee to mine and it was much better. The prime rib special was delicious as was the mac & cheese. Everyone else seemed happy with their meals although the service was quite slow. One single bill was presented to our table so we had to sort it out and have separate checks run. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we would definitely go back again.
I could easily see the affects of the citywide staffing shortage on mother’s day. As a result the service was slooow. The meal was pretty good. Everyone was nice and apologetic. I will return one day.
Never again. Overpriced for bland tasting food and extremely poor service. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.
One of the great New Orleans restaurants that’s been in business for many many years. I had redfish with crabmeat butter sauce on top and a side of the cauliflower. It was spot on and so delicious. I wanted to try their special ( bruscheloni .... I spelled wrong) it’s the flank steak stuffed with meat, egg, and bread crumbs. Perhaps next time I will get to try it. The drink specials were very tasty with a good pour. I had the Andrea’s special ( blue martini) it was sooo good. Prices were fair with a good portion. Service was excellent. Jarred was our server. If you are thinking about going, GO! Huge selection of food on the menu and I’m sure you will find something you’ll love. Can’t wait to go back.
Bland food with subpar service. Server disorganized and forgot multiple items. Definitely NOT worth the price
The Calamari is the best in town. Light and fried perfectly. I have the Red Snapper grilled with crabmeat on top. The turtle soup was very good too.
