My husband and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary at Andrea's. I chose this restaurant because it offered outdoor seating and a fine dining feel. We received not only the experience I was looking for, but live entertainment and a lively mature crowd as a bonus. The food was fantastic and the price was far below what we were expecting.
Outstanding experience. Incredible meal, great staff and Chef Andrea's personal attention, all over the top!
Everyone friendly, food delicious. Very pleasant experience
Nice Old world dining experience.
The food was horrible!! Our waiter brought appetizers as if they were on the house, then we received our bill which definitely showed they were NOT.
Food and atmosphere were great. The piano player could have taken his music down volume wise a notch in the bar. The Valentine menu was a great value.
I would give it another try since my first experience was on a busy dining holiday (Valentines Day), but the service was very slow. Reservation for 4 at 7:15pm, arrived on time and didn’t leave the restaurant until 10pm. And that was with a pre selected menu. The drink glasses were so small and it took forever to get a refill. Had to wait for more drink to be able to eat my food. Had to ask for a lot of things that should automatically be provided like water, straws, lemons for tea and drink refills. Waitress was nice though, but maybe new? The food was very good so I would give it another shot, but not on an overly busy night.
Food was delicious! Presented a beautiful red rose upon arrival. The wait staff wasn’t experienced. Were not able to multi task.
Waiter was horrible and food was cold, will not return
We went on Valentine’s Day and jt really was a terrible experience. Our server was terrible, took forever to come to the table and rarely checked on us. The food was cold, and the server was rude when addressed. Would not be calming back anytime soon
We had the Valentine's Day prix fixe and it was inedible. I'm sure they made tons of money at $50/person, but my wife and I are reeling at home now thanks to crab ravioli and the abomination they called tiramisu.
We had dinner for Valentine’s Day. I don’t think they had enough servers working so it was very slow service. The bread, which is usually amazing, was something they just grabbed and sliced up instead of fresh baked. My fish with crabmeat sauce had a very “fishy” taste and smell. We each had 2 drinks and a glass a wine and the $50/pp plus our drinks skyrocketed to almost $300. The price didn’t equal the quality and service.
All of the food was excellent, as was the service and location.
I have dined at Andrea's off and on for thiry years...and love it. The service is always good and pleasant, the food delicious and the prices moderate. My wife and I really like Andrea's.
The brunch menu is fabulous and reasonably priced with generous portions and bottomless mimosas/champagne! I didn't see the brunch menu on Andrea's website, and suggest that Andrea add it to the website menu section.
Hadn't been to Andrea's in a number of years. I don't know why I don't eat here every time I am in New Orleans. Food is always fabulous and service superb.
Great food, atmosphere and service, easy parking. Will return.
Our immediate family decided to try to go to dinner on Christmas night at the last minute due to travel and other obligations. I looked on Open Table and Andrea' s surprisingly was available for a party of 8. Haven eaten there, we knew the food would be good and it was convenient to all. We had no idea HOW GOOD it would be with a very varied and delicious price fixe menu. Everyone loved their VERY generous portions and desserts. It was a perfect way to celebrate and end our Christmas day. Service was excellent and our waiter was exceptional. This may become a tradition, but we will make reservations sooner to assure that we get a table!
Good overall, but waiter did not ask if I wanted another glass of wine - just took my empty glass away as he passed by and never mentioned it. Also, ice tea refill was not offered. Men’s bathroom could use some work.
Our family of 3 (we have a 12 yo son) were visiting NOLA over Christmas and made reservations to eat at Andreas on Christmas at 5:00 pm. Open arrival, our table was ready and our server was with us promptly. Andrew was attentive, but seemed rushed. The dinning room was full, but not packed. They also must have stopped taking reservations, because by 6:00, they were taking table cloths off and putting things away.
Anyway, we ate off the Reveillon menu. Our son ordered off the kids menu and had the ravioli appetizer, spaghetti and meatballs for an entree and caramel custard, which was more like flan. I ordered the salad, the veal scaloppine with mushroom sauce, and the chocolate Yule log. My husband ordered the turtle soup, prime rib and bread pudding.
At $56 a plate, it was underwhelming. The scaloppine tasted more like a tough cut of old cow rather than veal. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, but had zero seasoning! Zero. How can you miss seasoning something like that? The desserts were fair. Our son’s meal tasted better than ours! We would have been better off ordering off the kids menu! We won’t be going back. There are too many wonderful restaurants here to waste our time.
Nice experience at one of the few places open for Christmas lunch. Large crowd as expected and the staff did as well as they could but could have used additional help.
Christmas dinner! Delish!
Outstanding Food and service. Great value. Warm feeling.
We enjoyed their Christmas lunch. It was OUTSTANDING.
Dinner for six for a birthday meal and all was excellent from the service all food. Always very good and dependable.
Christmas Eve dinner with Mom. Our new tradition
I've had better experiences there and will forgive them because it was Christmas Eve than they were swamped... meals came out cold or lukewarm. The waiter didn't come back end check on us till about 10 minutes after he drop the food off. They were swamped on Christmas Eve and they made up for it as best they could
Last time I will ever go there - we should have ordered pizza. Meal was gross.
The service was very good however we didn’t know that there was a limited menu due to Christmas Eve. The prime rib was tough and also the potatoes that were served with it were hard. I don’t feel that the quality of the food was worth the price. I was disappointed. But everyone was very friendly and attentive. I may try it again but won’t get the prime rib
Service was terrible!!! We have been there many times but tonight was bad!! The hostess said they had to call 911 for a server, they just had 2 large groups come in before us, ran out of menus, we were served our main course before the 2nd course. Multiple tables were complaining!! We were not an isolated table. We did make a reservation and the restaurant was busy but not totally booked!! It was just out right bad service!!!
Best Revellion yet good selection and service Good on the spot.
The service was extremely slow. After we were seated it took over 10 mins just to get menus . Then it took an hour to get appetizers. The appetizer shrimp caprese was the best thing about the experience. Our meals were very bland. Unfortunately we will not spend our money there again. Unfortunate.
The food delivery was very slow with long waits between courses. Some of the dishes were good, but the pasta course in particular was poor. After two hours, we finally asked for the desserts to go. This was a Reveillon dinner and we expected something better than the pedestrian meal and slow service we received.
I have been going to Andrea's since it first opened and its always been good. Sorry to see a small crowd that day...I hope it continues to be profitable. Chef Andrea is a NOLA treasure.
Great service! Authentic Italian and variety of menu! Wonderful meal! A definite repeat!
Everything is outstanding!!
Andrea's was our most memorable evening in New Orleans. We were promptly greeted upon arrival and shown to a nice corner table. In moments Chef Andrea himself came out to welcome us and chat a moment - a very personal touch! (It may have been because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary). The décor is Italian and nicely, subtly done - very warm atmosphere. I had roasted oysters as an appetizer (a house specialty and deservedly so) and the stuffed veal which was fabulous! My wife had a wonderful minestrone soup and ordered cannelloni which was not as flavorful as she likes. Our waiter, Ed, was a real pro and recommended a fabulous red wine to go with the meal. All in all, a wonderful, enjoyable, relaxing evening of excellent food in a superb atmosphere. But wait, there's one more thing. My wife accidentally left her scarf at the restaurant and didn't realize it. Imagine our surprise and gratitude the next morning when the hotel concierge called to tell us that Andrea had limo'd the forgotten scarf to our hotel! What a class act! We will definitely make this a "must do" when we are in the New Orleans area.
Not worth the money. The food was awful and not worth the money
Thanksgiving. Service was good. Out of several items, food was just fair for the most part, my duck was very dry.
