Andreas is just not so great. I have had good dinners there in the past but it is very hot and miss.
On a regular day I’m positive I would have given 5 stars across the board. We were there on Thanksgiving and they were absolutely packed so a few things were off a little. But the food was superb. You should definitely give it a try.
Arrived early for a 2:15 reservation. Once at table sat for 20 minutes before we got bread and water. Waiter came by twice to let us know he would be with us soon. Came back 25 minutes later. Was a set menu with several options but waiter could not answer any questions. He poured tea in my water glass to refill and never came back with a new glass of water. Extremely poor service. Food cold sent it back came back cold again. Did not eat food. As we were leaving waiter came with wrong dessert. Worst holiday meal EVER! Will never go back nor recommend to anyone!!! Price high for what you get. They are all about quantity of people they can get in and out - not quality of food and service.
Great place to spend Thanksgiving!
An old favorite in Metry from back in the day! Friendly service and great food!
Our reservation was for 12:30 and we were served our first course at 3:30. We will never eat out on a holiday again!
Good could have been hotter but with the amount of people for the holiday, it was understandable.
Andrea’s is a candidate for one of my favorites. The food was good and consistent We were welcomed by the staff when we arrived. There was a large party on the other side of the restaurant which was loud but it did not detract from the level of our service. I would definitely recommend Andrea’s.
Good, service and ambiance were top of the line!
Very nice place for dinner special if you like seafood meals mediterranean style
Very poor overall. Staff obviously cared only about the “customers” that appear to be spending more. Didn’t meet my server until 10 minutes. Manager had to put in drink order. An acknowledgement of what’s going on would have been helpful instead of watching y’all everywhere else. Bread before water. Then something floating in my water. Food Overcooked and not fixed properly. Manager was very condescending and chef refused to come out and it wasn’t that busy. Too many good places to spend your hard earned money at in this city to waste it here. Horrible experience overall. It wouldn’t let me leave 0 stars because I would have. First time I’ve seen a place willingly let people leave unsatisfied. It may be time for this place to hang it up. Outdated morals and quality. Won’t be back ever and won’t recommend to my worst enemy. And before the manager who may read this and know exactly who I am, before you judge us take this as a learning experience for the next set of guests. We came to have a good time and a good meal and we were cheated out of that experience. Y’all acknowledged all of these errors during dinner but then acted as if we were the bad guys when we were upset. I just maybe think y’all were having a bad day or something. I’m hoping y’all didn’t just stereo type me and my guest and decided to help others.
Delicious food, great selections, and amazing service!
I was very pleased with the service, food quality, and overall value of Andrea’s. I will definitely return.
Excellent restaurant has a very homey atmosphere, the owner came and spoke to us, ask us how everything was, very genuine!!! Recommend it!!!
Wonderful dinner, very old school. Can’t wait to go again
I have a client new to the area & wanted to introduce him to a great spot. Having eaten at Andrea's many times, I thought this would be a great choice. I was a bit disappointed this time. When I walked in the door, there was an immediate, strong smell of sewer gas. I don't know if there was some sort of issue that has since been repaired, but it was quite unpleasant at the first impression. Moving on to get seated, all was fine. Ordered drinks which took a bit long to arrive, but that wasn't much of an issue. The menu consists of divine sounding dishes, so we were excited to get our orders placed. We had the charbroiled oysters and they were good, not great.
Two of us ordered the puppy drum w/shrimp creole & we were disappointed. The fish was small, it was only warm, not hot and was a little too "saucy" - meaning too much red sauce which covered the taste of the actual fish. Someone else ordered the fish w/herbs (I believe it was speckled trout). She thought it was "OK". I can't remember what the other two guests ordered, but they were not really impressed.
We waited for our waiter to come by so we could order another drink and we even made jokes about catching him when he came through the dining area because it was not often enough for us to feel attended. We finally got his attention, ordered another round of Absolut and soda w/a splash of cran. It was delivered by someone other than the waiter & it was just in the glass at room temperature w/no ice..... That was weird. I've never been served that drink without ice. Of course we asked for ice and she brought it, but it was odd to have to even ask.
Based on this experience, I would not bring another client there because there are so many better options. I was even a little embarrassed that I specifically selected Andrea's because it used to be a delicious local gem. My client is new to the area & lives nearby and I thought this could be a go-to for him. That probably won't be the case as it was mediocre at best.
We went for my mother’s birthday lunch. It is such an elegant setting. Our waiter was extremely personable and attentive. We all loved him! Food was very good. Chef Andrea came over twice to speak with our group. Absolutely perfect in every way.
The food was OK
Outstanding veal chop! Andrea stopped at the table to say it was his favorite.
Very nice house Aglianico was delicious with the veal.
The drinks were great, Food was okay, the service was good but it’s not what it use to be. I enjoyed dining here in years past.
They were busy. Had to ask for water to be refilled. Husband ordered cocktail and had to ask 2 times for cocktail. Server was very busy but attentive. Brought our food to another table before realizing it was for us. But overall food was good and enjoyed our Anniversary dinner.
I arrived for the reservation and was seated upon verification of reservation. Our server, Jacob was very attentive and knew just when to attend to anything that was needed. When I make the next reservation I will ask to be seated in Jacob's section.
Outstanding meal and wine selections. Chef Andrea came out after the meal to visit with us. From start to finish it was perfect!
The staff was absolutely amazing!
The food was very good and tasty. Service is always outstanding. One of the restaurant's you can go to and have a quiet meal.
Great food. Loved the bar.
Wonderful as always🤗
The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. She displayed a kind demeanor. Now the food, that’s another situation. I ordered char grilled oysters and shrimp & grits. The oysters had a loud fishy smell and definitely weren’t char grilled. Undoubtedly, I had to send them back. The grits were watery and tasteless. On the other hand, the shrimp were seasoned to perfection! It was my husband’s birthday and I decided to treat him to brunch. Wasn’t the best experience and we will not be returning or recommending to family or friends.
The restaurant and piano bar has a beautiful decor. All wait staff was attentive. The manager and chef visited with the patrons which adds to the welcome feeling. The speckled trout and the vegetables was delicious. The grilled pompano lacked flavor. The meatballs could have been browned more and seasoning added. The bread pudding was disappointing. The veal parmigiano was good.
we had not been back for a few years. The food is still good. Lots to choose from. We enjoyed the veal and osso buco
Very authentic Italian and friendly staff. Definitely go and enjoy a wonderful meal here.
Had a lovely brunch. Choices of food were adequate. My dish was delicious.
Food was salty and not as expected from award winning chef don’t think he has control of kitchen anymore not as good as it used to be
The menu on line all items were not offered. Was a little disappointed but chose other options. Food was good, service was great!
Lovely atmosphere - great food - will be returning!!
The service, food, and location was the five out of five.
Instant favorite. Chef and service were amazing. Will be returning frequently.
We went for a friend's birthday and enjoyed everything. The food was fabulous and they even sang Happy Birthday in Italian. Could not have asked for a better experience.
Wonderful place, everyone tries their best to make you feel like they are willing to do what's appropriate to make the meal a memorable experience.
Excellent food and service. The puppy drum was cooked to perfection.
