Loved the food. Dover sole deliciousness. Opera in the bar was fabulous. Do more.
Food not as good as in past visits. Risotto was soupy. Portions super small.
Andrea’s is an excellent restaurant and is now going to be one of our favorites in New Orleans. Our entries were excellent and the service was very good. The bar scene is energetic and always crowded. This is always a good choice when dining in Metairie. Highly recommended and you will need a reservation.
Gran piacere di avver trovato un ristorante italiano vero qui in usa.
Bravo Andrea e saluti a Capri
We arrived 15 mins before our reservation and were seated. There were three other large groups that arrived much later than us and were served before us...a very long wait for our dinners. The salads were warm and limp. The ravioli Andrea was very hard and dry. The pasta dishes were very hard and dry. We were a table of seven celebrating a birthday and I was hosting. It was a huge embarrassment. Never again.
We picked Andrea's because we had not been there in years. Had both heard so much about it. The food was extremely disappointing. The Seafood Lasagna was mushy. The salads were just plain awful. I had the Paneed Veal. The fettuccini tasted like it came from a box. The sauce on the veal was good. There was too much breading on the veal. The side veggies were something I could have fixed at home. The White Chocolate Breading pudding was just not good.
Delightful dining experience! Very creative menu, great ambiance, excellent food and value. Service was superb. Already looking forward to next to visit.
Food is excellent!
Our server, I think his name was Clint, was extremely nice and obviously want us to have a good experience. My request for changes in my meal we’re not a problem at all. We received a complimentary appetizer beside the delicious bread. On Fridays there is music at the bar.
Amazing. The decor, the service, the food. I went for coolinary. Everything was cooked to perfection. Chuck and the other server were great. Alot of food for the price.
the food was not as good as previous visits, some of the food did not taste to be made form scratch, but frozen(mushroom ravioli). super dense and seemed over cooked. the service was outstanding.
If you're looking for a great meal in Metairie, try Andrea's! Their attention to their customers is amazing! Chef Andrea greeted us at the door, and later came to our table to be sure everything was good. Our waiters were fantastic! Our drinks were refilled before we needed to ask, and whatever we needed was brought straight away.
The food was amazing as well. There were 8 of us dining, celebrating three birthdays. Several got the special menu - a three-course meal - choices included a NY strip and prime rib. Three ordered something else. We all enjoyed our meals immensely - the temperature of my steak was perfect!
Prices are reasonable; about what you'd expect to pay at any good restaurant in New Orleans. The atmosphere is warm and inviting - lots of pictures on the walls, white tablecloths, and just cozy in general. Tables aren't so close together that you can hear other conversations around you. We were able to take our time, relax, eat, and visit. All in all, a great experience! This was my first visit to Andrea's, but it won't be my last!
They don’t know how to cook a steak. Asked for medium rare and got completely overdone. Very clear that beef is coming out of the freezer. Avoid this place.
Delicious and abundant food! Great service and dining experience! Will definitely go, again!
Coolinary meal. Drum was excellent!
not a memorable experience for the price. bill messed up. menu prices are not prices charged. waiter trying to get paid before desert was finished.
Some friends and I met at Andrea’s for a Coolinary lunch. Everything was fine except for the food. It seems to have dropped off since my last visit, or the kitchen cut corners for Coolinary. The asparagus soup wasn’t very flavorful. The fish with meunière sauce was okay, but not great. The potatoes were overdone. The choice of bread pudding for dessert was not available as stated on the website, so we were all given chocolate mousse. It was more like a cup of thick icing than a mousse. We all wished we had ordered from the regular menu.
Chris the Bartender did great! He picked up our table and did a fantastic job serving us.
Food mediocre, service very slow even though restaurant wasn’t crowded.
Have visited Andrea's, for over 27 years -- as a resident in New Orleans and as a frequently returning visitor. Every visit to Andrea's is nourishing on every level -- food, service and ambiance. This latest visit was no exception. Part of the treat is introducing guests to one of my favorite places, anywhere.
Excellent, friendly service. Chef Andrea always visits his patrons and asks about the quality of the meal. Food was delicious as always
With their reputation for good food, they certainly never disappoint. But when every guest at the restaurant get’s greeted by the Owner/Chef, it makes the experience more delightful. I will go back again and again, and highly recommend for anyone to try this place! First class!
Excellent food and service.
Wonderful experience, from the greeting when arriving and throughout the evening. The food? Couldn’t have been better.
Santini our waiter is from Sicily
He was amazing
Food was great
Excellent quiet ambiance with great italian/seafood.
Excellent food and service
The food and service were fantastic! Our three teenagers enjoyed the experience.
We had a ladies night celebrating my graduation. It was wonderful and everything was perfect. The food and the service were on point. One of our favorites now for a fine Italian dinner.
Had reservation and waited over an hour to sit.
Granted, it was Mother's Day, a very busy day; but in my opinion, restaurants should be over-staffed on these days so that customers paying approximately $65 per person don't have to notice how frazzled the staff is. My mom and I each ordered a pre-dinner cocktail; it did not arrive until half way through the meal. Our ravioli appetizers were quite tasty. We ordered two different entrees, but the same entree was brought to each of us. I ate it anyway because it looked good, and it was delicious, a veal dish with crab meat on top. Dessert arrived quickly, carrot cake. It was very good, but our coffee arrived after we were almost finished eating it. Our waiter was nice and apologetic; I just wish he hadn't had reason to apologize. Overall, the food was very good, the service was mediocre, and the ambiance was nice. I would probably enjoy Andrea's more on a regular night instead of a special occasion.
Portion was small and crabmeat was pasteurized crabmeat with flecks of lump crabmeat on the trout.
There should have been more appetizer choices in the fix menu . Veal Maria Louisa was excellent!
Service was excellent considering it was Mother’s Day.
All the employees were very attentive and of course it was so nice to receive the red rose.
We had reservations at 12:30 and weren't seated until 1:30. Two of the six people got their appetizers . Then they brought everyones entrees not realizing the other 4 appetizers were never brought to the table. Food was very good especially the dessert. Our waiter had too many tables and was running himself ragged. he apologized profusely but it was the kitchens fault. Would give them another try but not on a holiday.
We enjoyed our Mother's Day lunch with some negatives. The food was only good. We expected more for the price of $ 55 per person. Service was very good. Ambiance was only so so with lots of noise. Some of the negative elements can be overlooked because it was Mother's Day, but generally the visit was only o.k.
It was wonderful- great Mother’s Day!
Unfortunately our experience was not great. We arrived for lunch and there was only two other tables seated at the time but the ambience of the room made it feel like we were in a school cafeteria. We could not hear our own conversation over the table sitting next to us.
The waiter only had our table to serve but somehow messed up our order. We had ordered the cheese ravioli with chicken from the lunch special menu. My gf even pointed to exactly what she wanted. The waiter asked what dressing she wanted in salad. Only the lunch one with chicken comes with a salad. So when our food came and it was just a bowl of cheese ravioli no chicken she asked where the chicken was and he looked at us and claimed we didn't order that. He offered to fix it but we had already waited 45 minutes for our food and was visiting New Orleans for just the day and didn't want to waste time. It was an inconvenience but not the end of the world.
The ravioli was ok not great. I had the crab ravioli and it was good, but not the best I have had or close to it.
So at this point we ate our food and just wanted to get on with the rest of our day, we get our bill and not only did we get charged for the ravioli with chicken which was 24 dollars instead of 17.50, for just the basic ravioli which is what we got, but he also added 6 dollars for the salad that our original order was supposed to come with. This made me feel like we had been lied to. I asked to see the waiter and pointed this out to him. He appologized said he would take care of it. He took the ravioli off the bill, still charged us for the 6 dollar salad and we paid and left.
Overall the food was ok, not great. The ravioli at Maggianos is better in my opinion and is cheaper. The ambience of the room is horrible. I can't imagine how loud it gets when it's busy, I would definitely pass. Given how many other great places there are to eat in New Orleans I would not recommend this place nor return again.
What an amazing find! We were looking for someplace special to celebrate our 30 anniversary! Such a treat to discover this restaurant! Everything was delicious And well presented! We were very Happy!
The waiter realized that we wanted to chat so he allowed us time and was not pushing to turn the table. When we picked up the menus to start looking for what we wanted to eat he became attentive as would be a expected. So glad I was somewhere that didn’t rush us.
The overall was terrific and special. We enjoyed it.
Excellent service and food and drinks...recommend getting there early as once it gets full things slow down a little
