Andrea's 25 - Woodbury Ratings and Reviews
Its now November 12, 2017 and I forgot to write a review back in July which unfortunately was the last time we ate in the Woodbury Andrea25 location. Subsequently we found out the location had closed. We really enjoyed dinning there for the last few years. Their pounded veal chop was by far the best on Long Island. Will mis going there but will shlep out to their original location in Commack!
This is our first time visiting this restaurant. The food is average for this neighborhood. The atmosphere and services are above average. We were a bit disappointed as we expected it to be family style but it's not. Overall we preferred Butera better for quality of food and pricing.
Food was excellent. Had the special shrimp appetizer with the cherry peppers and the special veal chop on the bone with onions, mushrooms and peppers. All was delicious. The waiter was great. He was on top of everything, super polite and always with a smile.
We had such a great experience here! The food was great, staff was incredibly professional and attentive. Also, the manager helped my mother-in-law to remotely orchestrate a nice surprise for dessert for us since we were there for our anniversary! It is a beautiful and well-run restaurant for sure. I would definitely recommend it 😊
Was not thrilled with the waiter. He was hardly around. Actually saw him for drinks and dinner order. We had to wait a while for dessert order. He just had bad attitude. I would def come back to restaurant but would not be happy if I sat at one of his tables. He might have just had an off night.
Place seems to be changing. I would typically not want to write a bad review but they would never know if customers don't write. Food was good, not great. Service was awful, my waiter had an attitude and was not attentive. He was more interested in speaking and hanging out with the other waiters. Place was empty, no excuse. He rushed us for order and then disappeared. In the past , I was always greeted by the owners, they are absent and the staff is not keeping things at the same level. I will try the other one in Commack. So many places to choose from , I will move on.
Dysfunctional restaurant. Tables are too close together, server was not friendly especially after we asked to see the restaurant week menu. There was an oily ink on the seat that got all over my hands and jeans, needless to say my jeans got ruined. No manager ever came over to apologize about their dirty linen, no manager was ever present. Staff seemed inexperienced and very slow.
We've usually had good experiences at Andrea's 25, but were somewhat disappointed this time. Perhaps because it was LI restaurant week. The chicken Andrew was tasty but somewhat over fried and the shrimp Luciano was definitely over seasoned. Lunch seems to be better than dinner.
Our first time here. Staff and service was friendly, welcoming, attentive. Reservation was honored on time. Menu is varied and interesting. Food was delicious. Our only complaint - and it is considerable - was the noise level. When we arrived (6:45 pm), there were only a few tables taken, and the noise level was just fine. Over the course of the next 2 hours, however, the place filled up. We were only 4 people at a regular-sized square table, and we could not hear the person sitting opposite. We had to shout to be heard. The noise level was really distracting.
We would definitely return at an off-hour, but a weekend night after 7:30 is too loud and noisy for a relaxing, conversation-filled dinner.
This is a common complaint - there must be some noise-reducing architecture that can mitigate the sound.
