Excellent authentic Italian.
Love the ambiance! Very refreshing atmosphere. Our server Travis and the guy with the DEEP voice (can’t remember his name) were Awesome!
Entire experience was beyond what we expected!
My husband and I are celebrating our 35 year wedding anniversary and dined for lunch at Andrea’s. It was so wonderful we didn’t want to leave. We sat outside and it was very comfortable because of the heaters over looking the ocean. You can see Catalina on a clear day. Kelsey was the perfect greeter and hostess and made us feel so special. We had drinks at the bar before eating and Tim was fabulous. Robert was our server and was so accommodating and friendly. My husband and I had the filet Mignon cooked to perfection with vegetables and sorbet for dessert. I can’t wait to go back to try the sea bass.
We were there in the evening so we didn't get to enjoy a view...everything else was great...a filet that melted in your mouth, excellent wine choices, tasty bread and the music was just the right level in the background to allow a conversation. Great evening.
Melissa was our server. She is Fabulous, knows the menu and specials extremely well and suggest several items that were all excellent.
She has been our server every year and she is top notch. A 10++
Food was delicious. Service was great and ambiance was very nice. Food was delicious but definitely a different experience compared to the past where there was a tasting menu and a dessert tower at the end of dinner. We enjoyed our night and will come again.
It was my birthday lunch. Everything was very good
Our anniversary dinner was amazing! Service and food was perfect!
Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful service. I went once and it was amazing. The second time was still good but not as memorable. The food is good- not amazing.
I am so glad Travelzoo had this special, had a great afternoon.
Great place with scenic view. My friend visited the first time and loved it. Great location to take your out of town visitors - or even locals :)
Four amigos dined there for lunch on a Travelzoo coupon. Portions were extremely small and tailored to a very light appetite, not man-friendly....not sure if that was because of the coupon or not but must say, VERY delicious. Examples: 5oz filet mignon with 2 fingerling potatoes, 2 baby asparagus stalks and 2 baby roasted carrot stalks at $30....a shallow bowl of carrot ginger soup at $16....pretty pricey....but the view on a clear day and the gorgeous ambience of the restaurant just might have made it worth it.
Very pricey but we had a Travelzoo voucher that made it very reasonable. Sat outside on a gorgeous day with a heater and our food was delicious. Service was really good too.
The panoramic ocean view is breathtaking. We can recommend the filet mignon and the grilled branzino entrees served with a petite array of vegetables. The proteins were cooked to perfection (though they were heavy on the salt, which might be expected with the resort food aesthetic). But, don't expect tiramisu if you order it. Their take on it bears little resemblance or flavor profile to tiramisu. ;-) The ambiance was sullied by more than one vociferous table on the patio related to misleading promotional offers. There is something a tad odd about the service here. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our experience and a tour of the resort grounds following lunch! Thank you!
Excellent food and service. Although expensive, a fair value.
One of the rare restaurants where the noise level is minimum
and conversations can be enjoyable.
We will never be back. The food was not nearly as good as in the past, the noise level has increased substantially, and the service was absolutely terrible.
Everything was outstanding! The food and presentation were beautiful. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. This is the perfect place to take someone for a special occasion and we both remarked how much we’d love to return.
We had an absolutely perfect meal at Andrea. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and the manager of the restaurant returned to our table several times to make sure that everything was going well. Great dinner and wonderful evening.
The food and wine is outstanding. On this particular night, the service wasn't great. It felt like they were short handed. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table, then couldn't get anyone to take our order in the bar area. Wait staff were all very polite just seemed over worked.
Staying at the resort, have had very good meals in the past. This visit, we took the waiter's recommendation of a 24 oz Chef special dry aged Rib-eye, to share. Ordered medium rare plus. Meat came out out cold and what I would consider rare. (very red all the way through, and again, cold) Showed it to our waiter who was shocked and said he would cook up another one immediately and would we like another order of Brussels sprouts on the house when the meat came back out. The meat did come back out and it was the same we sent back, but now was more like medium,(which I now wish I had ordered in the first place lol). Instead of a new order, (which the waiter volunteered, and we expected) we got the same order put back on the grill for a bit. For the pricing and ambiance I would expect an order like that to be completely re-done, not just re-cooked. Anyway we were offered free desert, no discount on the meal. Would go back for the pasta dishes, but would leave the steaks to other establishments in the area that know who they are, but shall remain nameless here.
Outstanding dining experience at Andrea. The cocktails, food and service were wonderful. Plus we enjoyed Happy Hour during the sunset this time. A must.
Well here’s the thing. We went there because I wanted an amazing Italian restaurant...this is pretty good but a long way from amazing. Who rates this restaurant top notch really hasn’t had truly great food...no offense intended but, seriously.
I had a hamachi app at Sushi on Fire the night before and it was 10 rimes better than approximately the same appetizer at Andrea....and waaay less costly.
Now the worst part is this. I don’t know about everyone else, but despite my ability to afford what turned out to be a $200 meal (pre-tip), I cant stand getting gypped.
When my 90 lb daughter orders plain pasta and gets a serving size that’s a joke (imagine a small burrito size of pasta...8” long, 2” high, and 3” wide) FOR $28, I had to order another to provide a meal for her. With absolute shamelessness, they happily charged yet another $28. For me, that’s about 10-11 bites of PLAIN SPAGHETTI, for $56. For my daughter, it was a meal.
Did I mention that individual glasses of wine cost what the whole bottle costs retail, and the pour is ridiculously light?
Yes, the pasta was good and properly cooked...and my salmon was also very good.
So what? If you care at all about what it means to earn a dollar, the whole experience is like an insulting slap in the face. I’ve paid $500 for a dinner for two and considered it a great value. It’s not about the money, it’s about the treatment of a customer as a moron with too much money.
Have dined at Andrea many times and it is always good. On Valentines Day, we enjoyed a prix fixer meal, 4 courses for $150.00/person. Price was expensive without offering a steak for one of entrees and only 1 dessert choice. Everything we had was declicious.
My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day early to avoid the crowds and found this gem. The food was great, but the staff was incredible. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in talking to us and giving us the best service. We will for sure go back simply based on the atmosphere and wonderful staff.
Food was wonderful but the service was a little on the slow side.it took 25 minutes from the time we took a seat in the lounge to get a glass of wine
I will forever dream about my meal! The food was so good. It definitely was a treat for my partner and I. But can't wait for another special occasion to go back.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Pasta is homemade and delicious! Service was great until end. We wanted dessert but server took around 20 minutes to return so we decided to skip dessert.
Our server Robert M was not attentive at all. We had to ask for water numerous times, and hot tea was served cold.
The minute we told him we were using Travelzoo voucher he became rude and service was horrible. We believe the service was poor due to using Travelzoo.
Beautiful incandescent lighting making everyone’s skin glow. Large, comfortable booths with plush pillows for lounging. Imaginative food, especially the oyster-avocado salad special. Warm and friendly servers. And of course, an amazing view of the ocean, golf course and enormous pool glowing blue at night.
One of the best restaurants in Orang County. Dining experience is phenomenal as well as the food.
Service and food was excellent. We had the branzino and the filet mignon for lunch
For what we paid for we expected the food to be great. Not so great. The famous risotto was bland, maybe we should have paid more for the truffles? Servers were very polite.
Terrible service great view and good food. T he view was special but the food and service definitely not worth the money.
Amazing every time I’ve been with it being exceptional as always Celebrating family and friend’s birthdays, a date night or a New Year’s Celebration! Love this Beautiful location and ocean view with the Best food, ambience and service... I’ll be returning soon! I highly recommend!!
Went during NB Restaurant week and it was awesome! I went with a friend for lunch and the foods were absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend this place.
Wedding anniversary for us. Service outstanding; staff couldn't be friendlier - treated us extremely kind and even gave us a special dessert. Food - octopus outstanding, as was the saffron tagliolini ; osso bucco was excellent; prime NY steak excellent. Very elegant and beautiful dining room and nice music drifted in from lounge. Also quiet - a pleasant change from many new noisy restaurants.
Excellent service, food and ambience. It's a lovely spot to take a special person.
