Andiron Steak and Sea Ratings and Reviews
I made reservations to have brunch here on my birthday. We were greeted with a friendly host and candy/dessert bar. I was impressed by the cute decor and live dj playing good music. I had the pineapple bump and steak and eggs. All very good! The only thing I was disappointed with was the service. Our waiter was cold and barely came around but I would still come back to Andiron.
Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Wait staff and bus person were very attentive. We had the grilled octopus as a starter, portion was a bit small but was very tasty. We had the branzino, headless and deboned, was very fresh and delicious. The cowboy ribeye was very good, and the scallops (3) were fresh and sweet - wish we got a couple more. The porkchop had 2 rib bones and we ordered it medium, was perfect.
We were pleasantly surprised by Andiron. Most "fine-dining" places we've tried lately have been very disappointing, especially when you factor in the price of what you're getting . Andiron gave us everything we look for in a good restaurant, without the exorbitant price mark-up that comes with fine dining anywhere near the Strip: well -seasoned, nicely-plated, interesting dishes prepared largely from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients. The atmosphere was nice without being too formal and the service was very good. The servings were generous as well. Our one complaint was with the whole grilled bronzino dish. It was too charred, with bitterness overriding the flavor of the beautiful fish. Everything else was well done enough to justify a return trip.
Four of us went for brunch and could immediately tell that service was off as food was being served to the wrong table and some servers were new and being trained. One of our dishes was sent back as it was served with something that we told the server to specifically not put on the dish. My eggs benedict were not really cooked - the egg white was still mostly clear and fell apart all over the plate when cut. The muffin at the bottom was barely toasted. By the time the service check was done, it was no use trying to send my dish back and continue to disrupt the whole table's dining experience.
We chose this restaurant due to its reviews and close proximity to the Red Rock Resort. Overall the restaurant lived up to its reputation. The service was exceptional and our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Both of my guests had the scallops and they were very happy with them. We also shared the grilled octopus which was exceptional. I had the Branzino and it was overcooked and lacked flavor. Additionally, I found the menu to be a little limiting and was surprised they didn't offer any daily specials. Value wise, I thought it offered better value than some of the restaurants located inside of the Red Rock Casino.
I’ve been to a lot of steakhouses in this city. This steakhouse has exceeded my expectations the steaks were grilled to perfection. The oysters were some of the best flavor oysters I’ve had. All of the sides were outstanding didn’t have one bad item. The service also was impeccable drinks were filled plates were cleaned quickly and waiter was thourough and knowledgeable with menu and it’s items
Saturday brunch/lunch: first time and did not make a good first impression. DJ music way too loud for the time of day. The restaurant was not crowded/busy and service level was fair, at best. Asked for a drink multiple times and finally arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. Bloody mary bar is a good idea but when it comes down to it, customers want to be served/come to them rather than getting up when they want a drink. Suggestion: have a bar cart stationed near the table or tray with garnishes at the table. something to make it easier on the guest. food was good, very tasty but the service diminished the experience for sure. Waiter did not seem to care very much. Doubtful we will go back unless someone invites us to go.
Lovely restaurant for our Sunday brunch! Amazing service, easy, casual, friendly. Gorgeous restaurant. The food was amazing, Fruit, BLT'S and Omelete's = perfection. Bloody Mary bar and bottomless bubbles what more could you want?? We sat on the patio, what a relaxing 2 hours. Thank you Andiron, we will be back.
We were celebrating a birthday and had and early reservation. The music was too large and as the restaurant filled up the noise got louder. Our server was very busy so we had to ask other help for refills of coffee and mimosa. Suggest that when it's busy, other employees check the tables if anything is needed.
Calamari was cooked in oil that was not hot enough therefore the batter was greasy and the calamari was only partially cooked.
Our steaks were not as we had ordered and despite sending them back to be re-grilled, they were returned unchanged.
Amazingly, for a Saturday night, there were very few people.
I enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was fantastic - very well-timed. Upon arriving, we were seated promptly. They took notice on the reservation that this was an anniversary dinner & wished us a happy anniversary when we arrived. We were also given a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the occasion. The steaks were prepared to our liking - although their medium rare was a little more red than anticipated. We particularly liked the Brussel sprouts.
Though the DJ is far too loud for Sunday Brunch; the menu keeps improving, the food is consistently fantastic, and the service remains good. Lower the volume a smidge or two, replace the gaudy patio artificial turf with a few more tables, and keep the champagne and doughnuts coming!
It is such a great brunch vibe! The eggs Benedict with lobster was amazing. Though I thought was going to be a lobster Benedict, it was regular benedict with a side of lobster. A little weird but still delicious! Bottomless mimosas were great and the bottomless bloody Mary’s were equally as good if not better. The DJ they had was really great and the volume was still low enough you could talk and not yell. I can’t wait to go back.
It felt like having dinner in an office complex. It was very industrial feeling and premeditatedly perfect. I could see it being a great business lunch restaurant. The food was prepared extremely well, however, the chef and I don't see eye to eye on several levels of seasoning and flavor combination. The wine list had offerings that when ordered weren't available and the selections were somewhat pricey. I would say that based on cost, selection, atmosphere and food that there are several better choices in the area. We were a party of four and were diversified in our selection of entree and we all felt the same. I would rate it on a scale of 10 as a 6 to 6.5 experience all things considered.
