Andies Restaurant - Andersonville
Great tasting . Lemon rice soup outstanding. Polenta and stuffed dates amazing. Good experience
Great service at a very affordable price. The food is always outstanding.
Solid food and choices. Lots of vegan options too.
Love Andies! All of the waiters we have had are excellent and the food is amazing. They have a nice selection of vegetarian friendly meals which is a great plus.
Everything about this place is wonderful. From the wine list to the vegetarian options, and everything in between, there were so many options! Portion sizes are huge and well priced. We will most certainly be coming back, and often!
Service was wonderful. Our server was quite helpful with menu selection guidance. Food was delicious. This was our second visit to Andies and we will return at the next opportunity!
We have been coming to Andies for years and I cannot say enough good things about it. The food is fresh and genuine and always satisfying. The service is impeccable (after all of these years we know a lot of the waitstaff by name). You cannot go wrong with any dish at this restaurant. I could come once a week and never tire of the food.
We made reservations on Christmas at 7pm, excited for the Christmas Buffet that was advertised. We were disappointed with the food. The buffet was very picked over, and not really replenished in the 2 hours we were there. For $28 per person, not including drinks, we were disappointed. The service was ok, and the ambience was ok, but I don’t think we will come back again.
Ate here in Xmas day, a change from traditional Chinese food. Have been eating at Andies for decades. Love it. They had a wonderful buffet option which I got. No one left hungry or disappointed. Never disappointed here.
Christmas buffet was not hot; we were in the restaraunt for a hour, chicken was not replaced until we were basically leaving. Salads looked questionable, crock pots were out. Questionable sanitation.
We went for Christmas Day brunch. The Buffet was the main event - the rest of the menu was truncated. There was a wide variety on the buffet (including a lot of things not strictly Middle Eastern), the staff was helpful & congenial, and the price was realistic - better than realistic if you are interested in chowing down.
This week enjoyed the Holiday buffet, many different mid-eastern foods (no kabobs). Approx 6 or 8 salads, gyros, hummus, baba gannosh, red pepper sauce, feta cheese, olives, leg of lamb, ham, turkey, bbq ribs, salmon, lots of other foods, lots of desserts including fruits. Is very hard to limit the amount of food, all was tasty, all was on the healthier side. Also stop by for lunch on Fridays (sorry they aren't open during the rest of the week for lunch, and dinners. Always good choices. Staff is friendly, they assure you have pita and if you wish they will fry the pita into good dipping pita chips. Restaurant has a fire place that is on in the winter and gives a bit of romanticism and there is a full bar if you wish to sit there and watch athletics or news. Is one of my favorite places.
This was without a doubt the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in recent memory. The service was clearly overwhelmed. It was extremely slow and none of them came out at the same time, leaving some people finished before others had started. Some of it never came out at all. The fish was obviously undercooked. We haven’t been to this restaurant in years and we remembered why.
There was no apology from anyone on the staff and in the end we just needed to get our check and get out of there.
We had a lovely evening at Andies. In our party of 4, we had two vegans and one gluten-free. We had numerous dishes to choose from and all were very happy and satisfied with our meals. The portions were large so we had enough to take home some of our dishes. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and quite pleasant. We will definitely make our way back to Andies in the future to try more of their dishes.
All of the food was dry and overpriced. Service was excellent and the saganaki was good, but it is pretty hard to mess up flaming cheese!
They had no record of our reservation even though I called to confirm 2 hours before our reservation. When we walked in they looked disorganized and panicked and suggested I had book a reservation at a different restaurant. Once we finally got seated (they try to squeeze us into a booth because they suggested our party of 11 would like to “cuddle”) the drinks were mediocre but it could be what we ordered. The food was authentic. A little heavy on lemon but otherwise good.
In better years Andies was a bright, cheerful restaurant with white table cloths and fresh butcher paper coverings, attentive staff, and well-prepared dishes at a good value. Its menu has expanded, and many basic dishes are still quite good, but the ambience is now more like that of a quick-bite neighborhood restaurant, and the service is dismal.
Very good place for a friends get together! The food was great and varied, good pricing, and a very attentive staff.
Generally very good, tasty, and large portions. It wasn't very crowded so was pretty quiet. The spring rolls were not freshly made and was a bit disappointing but the gyros plate and the lamb tag one was very good.
We had dinner at Andie's for the first time just a week ago. We loved it! Interesting menu, super staff, and delicious food! And it was convenient to other destinations we were headed to after dinner. I'll for sure be going back.
Our server Cassandra was wonderful
I had asparagus and spinach risotto- delicious
I love this place
Everything on the menu is great. Extensive wine list. Hummus is rich with tahini, Patata is loaded with garlic, salmon is moist but firm. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.
Lovely waitress. Just attentive enough without being bothersome; excellent knowledge of menu and great recommendations.
Sat outside...great setting, although A'ville is busy on a Thursday night, so ya gotta be OK with cars and motorcycles zooming by. The grilled salmon was outstanding!! Totally recommend it. The chilled carrot and ginger soup was delicious, too. I've always enjoyed Andies. It's consistently good!
We had delicious food and wonderful, friendly service. There are many vegan options.
What a wonderful find. We had a large - 13 people- to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. The restaurant was so accommodating to not only the size of our table but the various food restrictions we had. The portions were large and the food was delicious. Thank you!
We went in on a Sunday night, they weren't very busy but the service was (Cassandra) terrific. The food was excellent and we never wanted for pita bread. I would go back in a minute!
First time visiting Andies. There had been an issue with our main course whether it was not put it or kitchen got backed up but the staff & manager bought us a drink & appetizer to compensate for our long wait. They checked in with us regularly which was awesome and very appreciated. We will definitely be back. Food was great.
Food was ok
Noisy party of 25 took over an area nearby.
Andies is hands down the best place to get hummus and pita in Chicago, with thick layers of olive oil and delicious blends of fresh spices adorning each refreshing serving of dip. Too many great items to list. The service was off the charts. Seems like everyone who works there takes pride in their craft. Looking forward to make ng Andies a part of the starting Chicago restaurant rotation
I had Easter brunch here recently and it's been a while since I visited. The attentive staff and delicious food has been consistent through the years
So much food, so delicious!
Great time and great food as always! can't wait to go back, had some new items on the menu that were fantastic.
The food here is so authentic and delicious.
Great for vegetarians and those seeking gluten-free bread! Delicious!
Wonderful menu. Fish done just right. So much Had to take some home. We tried their Tiramisu which I wouldn't bother with. All else 5.
Everything was perfect. Excellent wine selection. Great food. Spectacular service. We can’t wait to go back.
New year's buffet was not advertised on their website. Paper napkins. However the food was delicious and worth the casual atmosphere
We went to Andies on 12/15/17 for our anniversary. We were seated immediately upon arrival for our 7 PM reservation. Tara was our waitress and she was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. Each course of our meal was timed perfectly. The menu has something for everyone. Our food was delicious, hot, and well-prepared. The portions were very generous. We shared a caramel flan dessert which was awesome. An extra treat was the Christmas decorations, and a group of musicians who played Christmas carols for the diners. We truly enjoyed our visit to Andies and look forward to returning again soon.
