Andiamo Italian Grille is closed for the Winter 2020 /2021 Season. Looking forward to seeing you when we reopen.
Many better options in Big Sky. The food did not come out hot for half out party of 6. The Lasagna was excellent.
Go for the salmon, not for the pasta. Pasta was chalky and not flavourful, was very surprised considering we were recommended the restaurant.
The service was amazing, too bad the food was sub par.
2 of us ordered the carbonara. INEDIBLE. Overcooked pasta. Mushy sausage. Service was gruff. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Out of lasagna the night we went! How does a Italian restaurant not have lasagna?! Ice tea was terrible and the tomatoes in my caprese were green on the inside. This was such a disappointing meal! Will not be coming back. The service was good though.
Great food. Fair value, but it’s a ski area
Felt rushed.
Overcharged for an item.
Food was very average.
It wax a resort Italian restaurant, fine for Montana but it would not do well in a city
Everything was wonderful! The service was great, the meatballs were amazing as well as the salmon and lasagna! It was as if we were in Italy!
Thank you for the 5 star review and great comments. Best part is that you only had to visit Montana!
If in Big Sky at mountain village the location is extremely convenient and food and service spectacular.
Noise level is always up a bit during Apre Ski hours, but there are more private dining areas as well.
Our meals were served hot & well presented. Lasagna was great, portion provided a great lunch next day also. Bison raviolis were new to me and also well done and tasty . Service was nicely paced while we enjoyed a nice bottle of Montepulcaino.
Glad you had a great experience, and enjoyed the meal. Please visit us again the next time you visit Big Sky.
We had an incredible time at Andiamo. Delicious wine and food and very fast service!
Great food and service
Our waiter was superb! He Was personable, attentive, and provided excellent food/drink recommendations.
Great atmosphere! Reservations were easy to get. Service was great! Would comeback again.
One of the only finer dining options we could find. The food was very satisfying. I had a salad with scallops and my husband had lasagna with bison/elk meat sauce. Service was kind and fast and the decor is pretty interesting too. Great variety of GF options too. We will definitely be going back!
Everything was great! Presentation of food was very nice, I happen to be WFPB and the menu had several choices and to make it even easier, everything was labeled. Decor was elegant and seating very comfortable. Service was very good. It was a bit noisy but that was the crowd, not sure it had anything to do with the establishment. Will be making reservations again.
We had the gnocchi last Feb, 2019. It was off the charts good. We went back to Austin and searched all over for gnocchi that came close to no avail. Believe it or not that dish was a main driver in coming back to big sky. We are here now, dined there first of course and were madly disappointed. The gnocchi was a lot heavier, sauce was much heavier and it was overwhelming salty. Couldn’t taste the truffle at all. We both ordered the same dish. My husband returned his and I hate about a third of mine because I didn’t want to cause a scene. Christian, our waiter, waited on us last year. We recognized him right off the bat. Please have your chef taste the food before it goes out. I love salt and I could barely eat it. We are here leaving Saturday am. We had planned to come back for more gnocchi but sadly won’t. I tried to find a private link to share this information but couldn’t so I am using this format.
Disappointed in the Pasta Dishes. Ordered a Carie of dishes and thought it would be best to stick with pasta since it was an Italian restaurant. Turned out the steak and lamb were the items of choice.
Service did not feel welcoming. Had a party of 9 on two tables had to ask to add and additional table even though restaurant was pretty empty. Wait staff was not very happy about it, but hostess accommodated our request.
We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Andiamo. The food was excellent and, as always, the atmosphere is very warm and inviting.
Food was okay, service was ok lacking .
My husband's lamb dish was the best he'd ever had. I had the scallops, and they were cooked well, but not as good as if they'd been fresh rather than frozen.
Spaghetti was greasy. Lasagna was good but could be split between two. Service lacking
The lamb chops were great. The pork loin in the porchetta was dried out and flavorless. It was disappointing.
Overpriced , average food. Stupid television easily seen from our table.
food was horrible.
Everything was great. We absolutely loved the bison meatballs appetizer.
Wonderful food & ambiance. Great service!
Wonderful food, enjoyed my Bison Ravioli (only in Montana). Fine service, server could have been a little more knowledgeable about the wine list.
As vegetarians we were very happy with the vegetable stew soup and the cauliflower vegetarian putanesca pasta. Our waitresses on 2 successive nights were kind and attentive.
Let’s see.....waitress Cindy was gruff, rough and not very helpful. ‘Wine guy’s’ wife was sipping the vino at a bar stool while also breastfeeding with no cover.
Noisy.
Overpriced. Food IS good, but typical overstressed resort experience. I remember just 10 years ago when the experience on the mountain was not determined by the insatiable thirst of developers and more about service and quality.
Andiamo has similar symptoms.
We are vegetarians. Andiamos has several selections for vegans or vegetarian. Their vegetable stew is delicious. Their vegetables tend to be undercooked-but you can make special requests. Their bread is fresh and wonderful.
Waitress had no knowledge of anything. No social skills and was disinterested in her job. Food portions where huge.
The restaurant was great with excellent service and good value.
The food was amazing, the staff even better. I will definitely be dining again.
We were a party of three. All entrees were very poor. The staff was very friendly but couldn’t compensate for nearly inedible food.
This was a truly atrocious dining experience. We could go on about the dark and dated decor, or that we were seated next to the loudest 12 top in the restaurant, but where the atrocities shined was in the kitchen. Calamari - considerably over cooked and over battered. Eggplant fries? Think eggplant goo with way too much over cooked batter. Arancini - the most edible appetizer, though the risotto was overcooked. We assume it was held and then used the next day.
Entrees. The description of the porchetta sounded great, but what was brought out was inedible. The polenta was tasteless and lumpy though it demurred you the horribleness of the dry porchetta. It was as if it was put into the in-law’s porchetta dehydrator. Campanelle is typically robust enough to withstand efforts to overcook, but the kitchen was up to the task. Unfortunately, the mushy texture of the pasta was paired with equally mushy puttanesca, the ingredients of which were indistinguishable from each other. Gads. The bison ravioli was edible, but far from worthy of recommendation.
On the sunny side, the spaghetti pomodoro successfully navigated its way out of the kitchen. Lucky kid...
The server never returned to ask how the food was, nor was notice made of the largely untouched plates.
Disclaimer, we are from the industry and have expectations for a $200 dinner that may not apply to all. That said, even the bad food devotees would have been disappointed.
We found good reviews on Yelp and wanted a nice dinner on our last evening in Big Sky. On the Open Table reservation, it did ask if this was a special occasion or if we were celebrating anything . I did write yes and that we were celebrating our 19 year anniversary. I was assuming since that was an asked question, that something would happen from that or that something would be done. I was a little disappointed to be honest that at the end of the meal, there was nothing mentioned of it or acknowledged. We had a nice meal and experience, but was hoping to end the night/dinner/trip with something extra.
Andiamo for us is one of only two restaurants where my husband and I enjoy dining. The staff is welcoming, the service impeccable, and, for thé most part the food is delicious. There is also a fine wine list. I would particularly recommend the bison meatballs and one of the salads. Excellent!
Thank you for the great comments. Great recommendation on the bison meatballs, they are delicious. If you have not tried Chef's lasagna with meat sauce - it is also amazing.
Excellent
Intimate
Fun
Great food
Thanks
Good food and attentive service. The only negative was the hostess who was a little terse.
