The food was delicious! My family owns an authentic Spanish tapas restaurant in Chicago and my grandfather is actually from Andalucia so I recognize a lot of the dishes on the menu. I think this restaurant is the best tapas place I have tried in Houston so far! Fast service and great entertainment on the weekends!
Great experience - we were looking for a fun place for our short trip in town. We took the servers recommendations and enjoyed every bite. Sangria was great as well. Recommended it to friends who are moving to Houston as a great place to go and to take guests too. Very happy with our choice!
My sister-in-law and I decided to try Andalucia Tapas because it is downtown, close to her office. Our food was okay - she had the vegetarian paella and I had the medallones de res (both Andalucia Especialidales). We agreed that both our lunches were okay; nothing outstanding as we'd hoped, but also not bad meals. The service was very good; our waiter was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
I read that Andalucia was a great restaurant and my husband and I decided to give it a try. We were THRILLED with the food and the service. I could not believe the variety of tapas they have for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I am a vegetarian and my husband is not. So we had an amazing selection of tapas and dinner. Ordered the flan for desert and shared it - it was just right (without being too sweet). We left before the music started but next time we plan on staying for the music and dancing. I would recommend this place HIGHLY!!!
The flamenco was fantastic! The best I have seen in Houston in 28 years here!
The food was hit or miss; we ordered croquettes, which were hard balls (nothing like the ones made at home), tasty, but off/putting because of the consistency and size. Definitely not bite-size; the pulpos and paella were quite good. The patatas bravas could have been good. The tortilla needed more onions and was over cooked. And the aioli on top of everything? Please no! Again, I like aioli with certain things, not on croquettes, tortilla, nor patatas bravas.
I will go back, and order food, and be sure to ask without aioli.
Great food, wonderful service. On the noisy side and very dark
The waitress was very attentive and explained the menu options and made a recommendation based on our conversation. It was perfect for us. The Tapas Platter. The Sangria was delicious and habit forming too. Should have ordered the pitcher. The Manager came by and spoke with us twice. Very nice people all. The Belly Dancer was awesome. The band was very good as well.
All in all a great experience.
Great atmosphere, good food!
Last year I been celebrated my wedding and back to celebrate my anniversary, was excited, awesome the Latin music group and the waitress.
Love the live entertainment and tapas. I recommend ordering the Gambas al Ajilo...they were fantastic. The sounds get quite loud as they have live entertainment during the evening but other than that, the ambiance was great for a night out on the town.
I insisted on taking my mom to Andalucia for Mother's Day. The food was beyond incredible and the service was second to none.
We had a pretty big party that got even bigger, after we got there. Even though it was an extremely busy night, the staff at Andalucia‘s were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The entertainment was great! Gabby waited on us and she was super awesome! We will be back!
The food was fantastic, but the entertainment on this particular evening was not good. I was really hoping to see flamenco dancing.
Restaurant was quiet for a Tuesday night. Food was delicious & Jessica’s Service was great.
There for a birthday. Great food and drinks
We love Andalucia! The tapas are tasty and you can share food with family and friends.
The music is great!
Delicious and interesting options. Really loud though! Crowded tables/ close together.
I’ve eaten there several times over the last couple of years and have never been disappointed. I had the opportunity to dine there tonight with some family members who have never been there and they loved it and said they would go back. This was my first time being there on a Saturday and, the noise level is the only thing I didn’t enjoy. We had 6 in our party and we’re seated close to the bar which made it difficult for us to be able to hear one another. Aside from that, this restaurant will be at the top of my list of places to eat. Great food and great service as always!
Really disappointed that our reserved table was right next to bathroom door. Constant distracting traffic and jostling. Would’ve hoped that an open table res would’ve had more clout.
Great food. Great Value. LOUD!!! Love it and would definitely go again.
Andalucia exceeded my expectations for both food and entertainment. My favorite music is flamenco and I have been wanting to see an authentic ensemble for years. The space is small enough to get a good view of the performers from anywhere in the room. The guitarist was divine and I would have been happy to listen to him solo for hours. The Solero dancers were passionate, skilled and engaged with the audience, and the cante, palmas and cajon knitted everything together beautifully. I felt like I had been transported to Southern Spain. There were several large tables of Spanish speakers celebrating various occasions that added to the ambiance. I was celebrating my birthday and I was happy to be given a table for two very close to the performance.
Our server was attentive and lovely and our drinks and food came quickly, even though it was Friday night and a full house. I was surprised to find that the house chardonney was excellent, as were my husband's margaritas. We ordered the large paella even though there were only two of us since it got such good reviews and my husband is allergic to eggs so limited in his choices. It was the best we've ever had and we had more than enough to enjoy another entire meal at home. The tapas we saw at tables around us looked delicious too. All in all a splendid and unforgettable birthday!
The food was great and the music along with the belly dancer was the icing on the cake!
The food was delicious! Service was great and the atmosphere was delightful. Great Spanish music and flamenco dancing. It is now on my favorites list for sure.
Wonderful experience ! Great selection of food and drinks. Amazing live music.
Great meal and drinks before a Rockets game!
Great food and excellent service!
The food was wonderful (and I went with a Spanish woman who agreed), the service was excellent and the flamenco dancers and guitarist were AWESOME!! Going back soon!!!👍🏼
Very much enjoyed the Flamenco dancing and live music on Saturday night! My husband and I had a superior evening of fun, drinks, and delicious food. Excellent service. Can't wait to go again!
Always a good place to get together with a friend. I recommend coming at 6:30 or 7 for conversation and then staying to watch the Flamenco dancing starting at 8. The tapas are definitely the way to go, and their cocktails are yummy.
We were visiting Houston on business. I always look into the best places to eat before our trip and Andalucia made the cut. It was so worth it! The food was amazing, service great, entertainment also great. I would definitely go back if ever in the Houston area. Get the shrimp and red sangria...YUM!!!
Way too noisy, my debit card got billed twice. I even got hit in my shoulder with a baby chair and the waitress just kept on going. The belly dancer, sucked, well not the flamenco. This place has gone down the drain. I think I'll stick to flying to Spain for real tapas.
First timers, food and service was great! Loved the Flamenco performance by the little girls! The live band was also great!
Love the Seafood Paella and White Sangria. Nice place to eat Downtown.
My favorite is the spinach empanadas, the last time I went I had the lunch express salad, vegetarian paella, and dessert (tres leches) was freakin awesome. Love the food there! :)
Great restaurant experience! The food was exquisite and the Flamenco Show did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
We all had a great time! The food was amazing, d love red promptly and HOT! The live dancing was magical! However, the overall noise level of the room was pretty loud, making conversation with my wife difficult (sitting right next to me), and having to almost yell across the table to our coworkers 😬. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the evening!
We West for my Birthday, I really had a good time, the waitress couldn’t be better, that lady made us all feel like home, we can say that next time we go back, hope she will be air waitress again. The group of musicians were great!
It's a really beautiful restaurant with all the details on decor. The live music is worth it, but the food so so. I enjoyed bits and pieces of our order. But nothing stood out. I also felt rushed like they wanted me to eat and leave. It was my birthday and I just wanted to enjoy myself because I was really excited for the flamenco dancing ( which was amazing). I just wished all the food would have come together, because it was cold by the time we were all served and that I was allowed to enjoy it without so much feeling like I had to finish fast so they could give the table to another. The drinks were okay, but watered down and over priced a bit. Our server was not the best, but I did interact with other that were much more pleasant. So I would say that it was that bad, just could have been more helpful and friendly. The owners were sweet and in the end I did get my dessert free and a candle to make a birthday wish. Happy hour seems like the better time to go though. So I'll try once more for that, and I'll recommend the live music once again because it truly was spectacular.
