Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food was below average. We have been here before and the food was much better then. Virtually everything we ordered tasted like it was sitting around all day then zapped in a microwave just to get it above room temperature. I like the live show, but we expect much more from the food especially considering the price.
Went here for my 8th year anniversary with our six year old daughter. My wife and I enjoyed the tapas, sangria, and dinner. Of course seeing the live flamenco dancing made the night even better. Seeing my daughter clapping her hands to the beat of the flamenco made it a happy celebration for our family.
We loved it here! The food was great and the server was very nice. For some reason they wanted to seat us at one of the hightop tables even though there were plenty of the regular ones. They did not come back often to fill drinks or check on how the dinner was. The food was very tasty but the wait was long for the food, but at least they let us know in advance that their kitchen was very busy. The flamenco band was awesome. The dining area is quite crowded and very little space between tables and hard to carry a conversation. Good for parties and families with kids.
We reserved a table for my mother in law’s birthday and we had an amazing time. The food was good and the entertainment was absolutely an experience. The manager welcomed us and made a point to speak to the birthday girl and was very accommodating. The music and dancers put on quite a show and I highly recommend this place to celebrate anything from a first date to a party.
What a remarkable night we had here. From the ambiance to the food and music, i enjoyed every bit of it. the shrimp tapas dish is my favorite, but the steak and salad were good too. the beef oxtails taste like grandma showed up to help out....of course you want to water your buds down with a bottle of wine of their sangria.
Andalucia was a great pre-Rockets game stop, just a couple of blocks from Toyota Center, with $10 event parking garage next door. Happy Hour is great value on House Wines (esp. Spanish) and fun, interesting Tapas. I LOVED all four tapas that we ordered: Tapas Bolitas (Moroccan Meatballs (plain-tasting, but in a yummy spicy cumin pepper sauce), Pulpo a la Brasa (Grilled octopus, potatoes, red onion, peppers, celery and olives), Bombas de Queso (Fried goat cheese balls topped with spicy honey drizzle, over fried leeks) and *Coliflor* (Cauliflower fried with spicy red pepper- my all-time FAVORITE). My husband ordered the Cordero Tagine (Lamb tagine with apricots & almonds, Served with couscous) He found the meat tough and wondered if it was poor quality, or just not stewed long enough.
The place was LOUD with Rockets and Spurs fans, and some after-work Christmas parties that were rowdy. Fortunately, we were at the bar area, at a narrow, high table, so we could just hear each other.
The bar was slow to fill our wine order, but our server Patrick was excellent and very knowledgeable about the food.
Can't wait to go back.
Had to leave after waiting for 45 minutes and hadn't even gotten our wine yet. Had a Rockets game to be to so had to leave and get food at the Toyota center. Not a good experience. Food looked good that other people were eating! Wouldn't know personally........ unfortunately!
Can't wait to go back. My best friend and I had a date night and made reservations at Andalucia for 6:30 pm. When we got there it wasn't too busy, but by the time we left at 8pm it was filling up. We went on a Saturday and at 8:30pm on Saturday nights they have live music and flamenco dancers. I wish we could have stayed but we had another show to get to. We ordered the Agava Margaritas which were spot on! Our waiter Marco was fantastic! He suggested we order the 6 Tapas plate and I'm so glad we did, we ate nearly everything because it was all soooooo good.
One of Houston’s must go to destinations for an unforgettable dinning experience.
Their delicious menu items will not disappoint including vegetarian options for the healthy conscious consumers.
The staff is extremely attentive and will not leave you unattended, even with a full house, service was top notch.
The ambiance is filled with great energy as the Flaminco artist entertain with wonderful music and visually delightful dancing!
Great for birthdays, friends visiting from out of town, casual get togethers w family.
If you wish to whisper sweet nothings in your significant others ear over dinner this my not be the spot. Absolutely a great place to go for every other occasions. Highly recommend!
When taking my wife to the Quilt Show, I get to choose the restaurant. Normally a steakhouse, but decided to do something different this time. What a surprise. Food was great, reasonably priced, but the real treat was the Flamenco Guitar and Dancing. Lots of fun. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little out of the ordinary.
This place is amazing! We had so much fun that we spent like 3 hours in there without even noticing the time. This is one of the best experiences my girlfriend and I have had in a restaurant. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious and inexpensive, all our plates came in super fast, and the best part of all was the flamenco show.Overall, the whole experience is what we enjoyed the most and will definitely recommend to anyone searching for a unique experience.
The food is fantastic! Our waitress was new and you could tell, she had another waitress backing her (that was the only save of the night for service.) Really enjoy the live music, it is loud so if you don’t like that, then don’t go on Friday or Saturday nights. But love everytime I go ☺️
We were attending a nursing conference so we had 6 people at dinner. Our server was amazing and recommended the tapas platter which was outstanding . We tried. Few others as well and all split everything . Not to mention the sangria which is legendary . You have to try this wonderful
One of the best experiences I have had celebrating my birthday. The whole ambiance of the place made me feel like I was in Spain. The flamenco dancers, singer, guitarist and drummer were exceptional. The food and service were absolutely top notch. I offer my sincere thanks to the manager Jose, our water Marcos, and the most endearing hostess Rachel for making my birthday a very special occasion.
We were looking forward to a long dinner with our friends, we discussed with the waitress that we would like the plates to come out 1-2 at a time. She suggested that we order everything at once and the kitchen would space them appropriately. We ordered 8 plates and at first received 1, then 2 more came out shortly after, then the final 5 came at once so we ended with 7 plates in the table for 4 people. Since most of the plates were hot we needed to eat quickly or eat cold food, and the meal was over in 40 minutes, not what we were hoping for. Also went on a Saturday and the waitress told us the entertainment on Friday is great but the Saturday guy is bad.
