Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar
The food was delicious. The service was good. The music was great . Inside was very warm the Air conditioning was not working, I had to ask waitress if AC was working and she said No.
Nice experience but would have been better had their air conditioner been working.
It was very loud. Descriptions of the items on the menu were not clear.
Their AC was out which made for a uncomfortable setting, and as more people came in, the heat increased and the noise level escalated to very loud.
The Margaritas were awful, however, the server was wonderful-as was the food! We ordered six tapas for the table & all four of us enjoyed them- very tasty!
Andalucía is a wonderful restaurant with good ambiance and great entertainment. It was a great experience with two glaring issues... the air conditioning is not working and the restaurant is quite warm inside, especially during these summer months and it is very loud inside when the band is playing, it was quite difficult to have conversation with people across the table when the band was playing.
I loved everything about the restaurant, the food and ambiance were great. The service was exceptional. My only suggestion would be to change the goat cheese option on the menu. We ordered a plate and it was literally just enough cheese for one bite. I understand it is tapas but it was still not sufficient.
We'll definitely be back!
Great food. Great ambience. Can’t wait to go back!
My sister and I wanted to have a bite or two before a show at the House of Blues and this was perfectly located right around the corner. It was still pretty early (around 5:30PM) so it was a bit quiet still.
We were lucky enough to have hit the HH window, so we had great prices on the hot tapas we got (empanadillas, sausage, chicken skewer and calamari -- $4 each!) and drinks (pitcher of sangria - $20, and 2 glasses of house wine $4 each). So the prices were great and the food tasty! I think the one complaint my sister had -- which was just a matter of preference, really -- was that the sauce on the spinach empanadilla was unexpectedly sweet. We also ordered the delicious Valenciana paella, which had generous portions of seafood and meat in it.
Our server was great -- ninja refilled our sangria so we never had an empty glass; checked on us just enough and was knowledgeable and really pleasant.
All in all, great start to our evening and can't wait to go back again!
Superb service, along with absolutely outstanding food. A wonderful experience!
Great experience until we had finished and our server kind of ignored us. Other than that, it was lovely.
What a great experience at Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar in Houston. An extensive tapas selection to choose from and what flavors! Highly recommend the lamb, spinach, and calamari tapas. The service was amazing! Our server was attentive and friendly. I appreciated the manager checking in to be sure we were enjoying our food and if we needed anything. If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Houston, put Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar as a first choice for a great dinner experience.
Beautiful restaurant. Great vibes. It was super hot but they said a/c will be fixed soon. Food was meh, and sever was less than enthused despite us ordering $100 of food for 2 people. Go to Si Tapas in Dallas instead if you can.
Our server was very delayed in bringing one of tapas, we had to ask him about one it. Brought us the wrong cocktail but never came back to see if everything was ok, but did remove it from our bill once we ask for our check.
It was too hot. Something wrong with the A/C? They never cleared a space for dancing. Last time I was there there was room for dancing. When a customer moved some tables, almost at the end of the night, the manager got mad and scolded her. However, dancers filled the space quickly. That should tell them that they must provide dancing space, specially when they have a live group playing dancing music. Makes sense, right?
Pincho Chicken was very tasty, smoky and well presented. Tres leches desert was delicious. Gazpacho was so so, not spicy enough. Service lagged at times.
A/C was out. Server was a bit slow at the beginning.
Very disappointing. We kindly requested a nice table for a spacial occasion but when we arrived they gave us the last table available. high table shared with other people!
We told them we reserved in advance to have a good table but they said that was the last available. Not happy.
Although our server was awesome the restaurant was HOTTT inside. The food was mediocre for how much we paid and the happy hour menu wasn’t great. The server messed up the final ticket and charged us full price for drinks that should have been happy hour price. Go to Morton’s for the same price and well it’s Mortons quality.
The experience overall was good. Service was excellent. They asked to slide our table over to make room for a larger party which was no problem at all but they were kind of enough to comp us an extra drink. I appreciated the gesture. This was my second visit. Their tapas sizes are larger than usual which makes them great for sharing.
Delicious tapas and desserts, great service and live music.
Not the greatest dinner. The Paella was overcocked and the service was not great. For the price paid I would have expected a better quality of food and service.
I have been innumerable times at Andalucia Tapas. Even though my party had a good time, I saw a couple of flaws. It was very warm inside. Was disappointed not to see a dancer or regular musicians. The ones on Friday were ok. I almost thought that the place was under new management.
I will go again. It is a great spot in Houston, a must see. I hope next time is better.
It was incredible, we loved it! Great music and dancing not to mention the food was excellent. We will be coming back and spreading the word.
Great happy hour specials on terrific tapas. The service is always first-rate, and the charming manager always makes a point to check on her guests. She really makes you feel valued and welcome. I really like everything about this place and highly recommend it. It's really convenient for tapas and drinks before a show at House of Blues, but it's also definitely worth a visit on its own!
This was our first time there and we went for our anniversary. We loved everything about it from the food to the atmosphere - so lively! Will definitely come back!
This was our first time to have tapas. The staff was very helpful. It was our anniversary. The manager came over to get our names and welcome us. The guys playing live music dedicated a song to us. I loved the stuffed dates and the gluten free chocolate cake. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. This would be a great place to celebrate an occasion.
The food was delicious. We went on Friday when they have live music & flamenco dancing. The music was a tad bit too loud to carry on a conversation without having to yell the entire time.
This is an awesome please to share tome with family and friends, you can enjoy delicious food, drinks and good music. The live performance gives you good vibes. Excellent service. Looking to go back
We took our kids for dinner (5 and 2) so that our daughter can see flamenco dancing live because she takes beginner classes. She LOVED it. She was so excited by it all. The service was amazing and the food was delicious.
Nice selection of tapas!
We had a great time. Our waiter was super helpful and friendly. All the food was delicious, but I especially liked the marinated olives and a chorizo and potato dish. We lucked out that the music didn't start playing until the very end of our meal. if it had been during our meal I think it would have been a little annoying because it was loud.
I love this place the only thing was the AC was not working well so it was extremely hot
Unique atmosphere, great live music and memorable food!
Positives: lots of tapas selection, good pricing, and generous servings in the convention district.
Nothing unpredictable in the preparation or flavouring, so will appeal to a broad range of diners.
Areas to improve: the room doesn't have A/C, and when it is hot and humid out, the ceiling fans aren't enough for dining comfort.
We enjoyed everything we ordered ( six tapas and a shared salad) -- can't rave, but can't complain.
Wonderful for a fun weekend date night. Food is terrific, nice variety of unique Spanish tapas.
Friendly and warm atmosphere with great ambience and great entertainment
The food was hot and fresh. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, and the flamenco performers made our evenings one of the best.
Very nice place to visit, the paella is very good and the flamenco is outstanding, I’ll came back for sure
It was our second time there and the food is amazing, the service on point and the drinks and entertainment were excellent.
