Andaluca Ratings and Reviews
The food at Andaluca was excellent! The Rib Roast and the Duck were fan favorites at the table. The particular server that we had was inattentive, scattered and not very knowledgeable regarding the food or wine. He did not read any specials to us even after we were sitting there for 20 minutes without him coming over to our table. Furthermore it took over 20 minutes to receive two glasses of wine and an old fashioned during a time that it was not busy whatsoever. It actually took the man bussing the tables to overhear our displeasure and he intervened. Overall I would recommend Andaluca for the food and the atmosphere. I just hope you don't get the same server we did.
We have eaten at Anduluca's a couple of times, both excellent. This time we had the paia which was really wonderful, AND you didn't have to order it an hour in advance. Dinner for two, two glasses of wine, shared salad, soup (amazing) and desert for under $100, plus free valet parking. I will be back and I recommend it to all.
This place has great food in a very comfortable setting with very nice decor. It is attached to a hotel. You drop your car at the front door, your parking is validated and your car is waiting when you are done. This is very nice and safe on a cold rainy night.
I tried out Andaluca since, on the surface, their menu appeared most vegan/vegetarian-friendly and I needed a hospitable place for my friends. I am also used to Seattle's high interior bar for a fun and cool ambiance. Their decor is Cheesecake corny at best and our waiter scoffed when my friend asked to substitute goat cheese with another veggie or non-dairy something.
Overpriced and not very pretty.
Perhaps it shouldn't be so special that a restaurant serves excellent and interesting food, has attentive, warm and helpful service, comfortable seating, an attractive setting and is quiet enough for unstrained conversation, but that combination of attributes is rare in today's dining scene, and Andaluca has them all. The wine, the salad, the entrees and the dessert were all delightful. The busboy who ran after me to give me my leftovers was the icing on the cake.
We had dinner at Andaluca before a concert at the Moore Theatre. The location was perfect, as it was an easy two block walk away. We ordered the beet salad, which was beautifully constructed, and the traditional paella. The paella was full of all the classic ingredients and was delicious! We also ordered their wonderful sangria. Our server was outstanding - friendly and professional. She helped make it a memorable experience.
I will add here that we also had brunch at Andaluca the next day, which didn't turn out so well. We literally waited 45 minutes for our food, and there was no communication from our server during that time. In her defense, she did offer a free beverage for our patience. Overall it was not the delightful experience we had had the night before.
We had a very enjoyable evening at Andaluca thanks to excellent food, a very pleasant ambiance and gracious service. The pork belly appetizer was especially good and the bread service with babaganoush and hummus was very tasty. Two of us shared a paella dish and found it to be sufficient, while the other members of our party had chicken and halibut -- all first-rate.
Here to celebrate a birthday and wanted an ambience and food we would not be disappointed with. We can always count on Andaluca, starting with FREE complimentary parking! drive up and you are done, how nice is that in Seattle! the noise level allows convivial conversation without having to shout. But the best reason is the consistently fine food including the best pork chop i've ever had and topnotch but not over the top service. Always a favorite for us.
We were so excited for this experience and although the food was good it was overshadowed by some of the worst service I have ever had. All the way around / not just our server but the staff in general / very sad...it took a half hour to get our drinks / no apologies and every question we asked seemed to be an inconvenience as if he had somewhere else he needed to be...we had to ask for everything and call someone over to get help. unfortunately we will not be returning...
The best salmon & paella I have ever had with exceptional service. We dined there for two out of the four nights we stayed in Seattle. On the first night they handled my husband's garlic allergy with aplomb & both his halibut & my paella along with the service were fantastic. We returned on our last night & both had the salmon, his without garlic. I grew up on wild pacific salmon & Andaluca's prep. & presentation were the best bar none. I want that recipe!
Not a huge menu but what they do, they do well. Great wine list & desserts, (liquid chocolate cake!), what more could you ask? We will be back.
We made reservation for our anniversary. The first great thing was the complimentary valet parking, a real perk for a downtown venue. We arrived early on a holiday weekend, and the hostess didn't bat an eye about seating us right away. We really appreciated her professionalism. Our waiter brought two glasses of champagne to help us celebrate our special occasion. He was friendly, very knowledgable about the menu and the wine list and provided just the right amount of service during our meal.
We decided to share a shaved salad and the paella. The waiter told us the paella would be too large for one, not enough for two. He was right about that and it was delicious. The salad, however, was too small to share - we would definitely order a salad a piece in the future.
Overall, a nice evening out and delicious food.
Andaluca is always wonderful. The food never disappoints and the wines by the glass are very nice. Desserts are great. Most recently we had the petit rib roast and halibut. Both were great and hard to choose between. We live nearby and return when we are looking for a special meal. I highly recommend Andaluca.
