                                The food is average, and the variety is quite limited. Considering the price, we expected more options. However, the limited selection might be due to the space constraints in the restaurant.

                                We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was noted to staff. No one congratulated us or made mention of it. Appetizer of scallops was a complete waste of money as the scallops were one bite size each (2) and they were overcooked and had little flavour. Main dishes took a long time to get to the table, we almost just went home at that point. My husband’s duck was overcooked and chewy. The roasted veggies were ok. My braised beef was nicely cooked and soft. The wine was a ridiculous price at $25 per 8 oz glass of local Chardonnay that is $36 for a whole bottle! Definitely not worth the drive, time or expense. Also, no staff member even asked if we were enjoying any part of the meal! We felt like “just a number” to them. No personality.

                                Gorgeous place we ate right ouside beside the Waterfall. The Trout and wine was amazing and our lovely waitress was so wonderful.

                                We came from Toronto to visit Ancaster Mill, and it was magical. Surrounded by nature with a stunning waterfall, it was the perfect mix of beauty and peace. We had the outdoor space all to ourselves and got the most amazing photos. We didn’t expect much from the food, but it blew us away. The braised lamb and chicken sandwich were incredible, and the cherry pot dessert was unforgettable. Huge shoutout to Taya, our lovely host – she helped us pick the perfect dishes and made our date even more special.
