    Our culinary team is excited to offer an intimate chef's table dining experience at the Ancaster Mill! What to expect from this exclusive offering? A family style, chef-curated meal that includes an amuse-bouche and appetizer to start, followed by a table side carving of the protein of your choice accompanied by seasonally selected sides, and to finish; a seasonal dessert. Please note price per person is dependent on your party's protein choice which are offered in price tiers (see photo 4 above). To book this exclusive experience a $50 deposit per person is required (applied to your final bill). Please expect a call from our team to secure your deposit, select your feature protein, and to note any allergies and intolerances.

    We were greeted by a very nice young lady at the front desk, escorted through to the dining room, where we were greeted cheerfully by the bartender. The room was cat a comfortable temperature and not to noisy nor ominously quiet. Our wait staff were cheerful courteous and helpful. The meal was hot and delicious, deserts were scrumptious. The whole evening was made exceptional by the staff. This an exceptionally pretty venue. We only wish it was nearer to where we live in Guelph. I would recommend this venue for almost any occasion.

    We went for the Sunday Brunch Buffet and absolutely loved it. The staff were wonderful and the food was incredible. We can't wait to go back again!

    The food and view are amazing. We enjoyed the visit, however, the 2 hours setting time is a little bit too rush. We were in the middle of a conversation and been asked to pay. This is a little bit awkward. If this can extend to 3 hours, I would love to pay more for it.

    Went for a Birthday lunch. Great food, slightly pricey. Dessert was delicious but portion could be bigger. Had the Pavlova. Lovely room near the falls for dining. Service was very friendly and accommodating.

    Excellent!! Most wonderful experience of food art and the scenery. I couldn’t decide which menu was my favourite. Every single dish was so unique and exquisite. Also, the waitress was very kind. The ginger beer was very unique, and the PEI mussel was an excellent choice. The main dishes were such a piece of art that I didn’t want to ruin the beauty. The taste was as amazing as the looks! Especially the short rib melts in the mouth just as how the waitress described!! In the end, I ordered the black sesame tart for dessert and to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and the waitress was so considerate to put a candle on the side. Beautiful scenery, kind waitresses and the most wonderful chefs.. it was the best restaurant I’ve ever been!! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and we will definitely visit again!

    I loved the relaxed atmosphere and it was a wonderful brunch for my birthday. The food was delicious and we all had a wonderful time. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend this venue to anybody.

    We went to Ancaster Mill for Valentine’s Day this year and were unfortunately very disappointed. With one drink each and their special menu, our bill came out to more than 300$. We’ve been to Ancaster Mill in the past for the Valentine’s Day meal, including over COVID and it was excellent. We recently got married at Ancaster Mill and were so excited to make it our new tradition to visit our wedding venue on vday. The cost was not the issue as we were expecting it, however the quality of the food, presentation and cooking was not up to the standard of what you would expect for that price tag. Our meals overall were cold and felt like they had been made hours before and heated up under a heat lamp, for example our steaks were cold yet undercooked. The potatoes that came with them greasy and soggy like a McDonald’s hashbrown, yet also cold. Our dessert was also very disappointing, we had this chocolate “choux” pasty which came out looking like a dried out donut that had been the counter for hours, and was hard as a rock. Super disappointing.

    It’s unfortunate that no matter where my husband and I attend we get treated poorly , is it because we look young ? I used to be a server and used to hear “i dont want that table they dont look like they tip” and now i know how that feels to be judged immediately, a table came after us and got a whole detailed menu description, when our server came over we got “so do u have any questions” we never once got a food checkup, even tho my steak wasnt done how i had asked i felt too judged to even say anything , waited 20 mins for a drink and had to go our whole meal without a drink, i then tipped more then my bill tax just to prove a point even tho it certainly wasnt earned .. i also booked this 3 weeks in advance and requested the falls view and never got that either.

    The service and food were very good. The only disappointments were a lack of various seafood, such as crab legs, calamari, mussels, lobster...as only oysters, shrimp cocktail and octopus salad as well as pickled herring were presented. Also, the chicken and waffles were not replenished promptly..there was one piece just sitting there for who knows how long. The gravy for the roast beef had filmed over and the horseradish was not replenished. The staff in the hot food section were all grouped together chatting instead of standing in front of the carving station and paying attention to replenishing foods as needed.

    Absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant. It was quiet and intimate which was exactly what I was looking for. Our waiter Andrew was very attentive and super friendly. The food surpassed my expectations and we did not have to wait too long either! 10/10 would recommend!

    I was expecting more food on the menu for the Sunday Branch! Specially that the price now is 70$ + tax per one person! When it was 50$/ person , they had more options.

    Was a little surprised the buffet went up to 70 adults and 35 kids - Im not sure but kids for sure don't eat that much. Then I asked them to do a little mention to 2 of our party for their birthdays - no one mentioned anything. You use to have crab legs and we noticed none of that - it felt like it did downsize for the buffet a bit - plus every time we went to get some of the hot food (eggs Benedict/bacon/etc) you were out of it every time we went up to check - it wasn't getting replenished very fast. I will put I will recommend you but I have to say not sure I would its kind of hard to

    My first time there with my grown daughters and I would definitely go back! Food was absolutely amazing. And selection too! Yes it was $70/person but the food and the fact that you got bottomless mimosas, sparkling wine and/or Caesars (if you want). Personally I think it was more than getting your money’s worth. Staff and atmosphere was tops too.

    A great selection of breakfast and lunch items, including the chef stations and seafood bar. Very nice and attentive service - staff are excellent. We were in the main room with lovely views of the stream and waterfalls, and we enjoyed the extra attention given to my wife's birthday. The space combines ample room with a cozy atmosphere (I especially like the Mill in winter). Always a treat.

    The food was delicious- the fresh squeezed orange juice is a treat. I must eat gluten free - there were plenty of options for the main course- they even had gf toast- but I was disappointed in the gf dessert choices. I really feel that they could do a much better job with that.
