Third time I've been to Anasazi. The service is always great. The food...we had two seafood dishes that were just overcooked. Seared octopus was tough and overdone and what the kitchen did to a lovely piece of halibut was obscene. Overcooked, but only by 1 minute. I've had seafood each time I've been to Anasazi and it's always overcooked. But then, Santa Fe is a long way from any ocean! The wine list was good, but we were told there was only one bottle left of our selection! At least we got it, but we had to drink slowly because we could get only one! But it was half off Monday and we didn't know! That made the wine even more delicious after we got the bill.

The restaurant was in a great location just off the main square in Santa Fe. The menu offered some interesting choices as well as some of the traditional items expected in Santa Fe. It had a great vibe but was still quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Definitely one we would recommend .

Very disappointing! Ate here years ago when it was a top rated restaurant. In addition to other dishes that were just ok, between the 4 of us, we had 2 different pasta dishes that were terrible. They'd be better off taking the pasta off the menu. That being said, we're staying in the hotel (wonderful) and breakfast is very good in the restaurant.

One of my favorite spots. The Food was outstanding. The Lamb was the best I ever had. The Octopus was cooked softer than i've ever had before (and the flavor with the beans and churizo was fantastic). This food was absolutely amazing and a must try!

Disappointing. The meal was lunch. The salmon was good, the bread was not fresh, the greens with the fajitas were not fresh, and the fajitas were not served sizzling like most places.

Make another choice for lunch

We really liked the breakfast- good food and service. We go to Anasazi every year during Indian Market - it is a tradition we enjoy very much. It is expensive - but it is also a very nice place.

Went for pre-opera dinner Prix fixe menu advertised not available Starters were fine (soft shell crab with avocado salad fine but a little salty; buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes fresh and flavorful) Entrees too "fancy" without flavor -- halibut pleasant but bamboo rice too foo-foo Peas ravioli would have been extremely bland without the honey butter; burnt onion flavored foccaccia not worth the effort. For price charged expect tablecloths, BTW.

We were very excited to dine here for our 33rd Anniversary. We had heard good things about the restaurant; however, we were truly disappointed by the food. The service staff was good and very attentive. Unfortunately that did not make up for the uninspired food we selected as our entree. We visit Santa Fe yearly. This was a new restaurant for us and it will not be in our rotation.

Our dinner was very disappointing. We have dined at The Inn of the Anasazi many times over the years but this was the worst meal we have ever had. The charred Gem salad had sand in it and very little flavor. The duck which was recommended to us by our waitress (whom we liked best of the whole experience although at the end of the dinner she seemed distracted) was gamey and paired with a hazelnut sponge cake that had a very strange flavor. We will not eat here again.

I had eaten here in August of 2015 and honestly had one of the best dining experiences. We were a party of four and all orders were exceptional including the best salmon I will ever eat. We were so looking forward on this return visit to that same treat. It is unfortunate that the chef from that period is now gone. Every dish from apitizer ( artichoke and a octopus dish) to the halibut and lamb chop were at best below average and at worst just awful. The vegetables with my lamb honestly tasted like dirt. I have spent a good portion of my work life in the restaurant trade and I hate knocking down any food trade. When you spend over 75.00 per person ( no tip included) I expect great service and food. Cost is never the issue when those two items are great. As I left I noticed a total lack of customers for a Saturday and for having a huge event in town right on the square. I now know why.

Ate outside on the patio for brunch. An order of eggs Benedict came out with hollandaise sauce when ordered on the side. Service was terrible. Three different waiters. Our first waiter went on break we were told. Asked three times for the check and for separate checks which took 30 minutes. No repeat!

Downtown Santa Fe Hotel dining and bar. Interiors redone and much improved.
Ok patio that flows into a cool bar and even better lounge, then the dining room, still stuck int he back.
Think that the bar menu is much improved and looked great. We sampled the small dinner menu. Interesting, flavorful and nice presentation with pleasant service.
Just a flat, dead vibe-fairly empty when town is jammed with people.

Think that they should drop their fine dining attempt and go all out on their interesting bar/cocktail/bar sampler menus. Could be very successful.

The dry-aged striploin steaks my wife and I had were cooked to perfection, with a little bit of charring, which we like. Our server was excellent and the wait staff very attentive. We both ordered dessert, which was not added to our bill after we told our server it was our 44th wedding anniversary.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Inn and our second dining experience at the Inn's restaurant. Each time was great. It's a beautiful setting with nice ambiance and authentic Southwestern decor. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. We dined today for brunch. We each had the elk sausage Benedict with chipotle hollandaise and roasted potatoes. Good size portions. Nice presentation. Very tasty dishes. My only complaint: the poached eggs were overlooked, so the yolks weren't runny. It wasn't a fatal error due to the presence of the hollandaise sauce. However, I did pass along the negative observation to the kitchen.

We have dined at the Anasazi for years. The dishes are creative and portions small. We thought it a bit pricy for what you get .... like a single artichoke heart on a bed of pesto for $16. My husband ordered the duck breast and I had the lamb. We have always recommend the Anasazi as a fun place for inventive cocktails...sadly they have greatly reduced their selections.
