We were recommended to try this restaurant and were disappointed . The menu was limited. I ordered the sweetbreads as an appetizer and they were good . For the Jain I ordered Halibut and it was treated with the same tehina and truffle oil. While it worked for the sweetbreads , it was not that good with the halibut . My companions also felt there was too much use of truffle oil . Our service was excellent .
We had a fantastic meal from the service to the Amuse to the breads and spreads to the beet salad to the steaks to the sorbet and coffee and the final brownie bite. I will be back next time I am in town.
Prepared foods were over salted for personal taste. Bench seating not comfortable. Ask for chairs. Servers were pleasant and helpful.
Went here for Mother's Day dinner. Nice selection of entrees for our dinner. Dessert was a plus as we ordered Beignets. small place in central Ashland, OR.
We enjoyed our dinner at Amuse. The service was leisurely but efficient and it fit in with our relaxed plans. We really enjoyed the food with some new items on the menu. The noise level was fairly high because the rooms are small, but overall it was tolerable. We look forward to our next visit.
A wonderful treat on a trip to Ashland. We had the pork entree and it was moist and charred with a wonderful flavor. Highly recommended.
This place is always wonderful. Food is very tasty, beautiful and excellently prepared.
fabulous food, creative, fresh, locally sourced. Great, caring service. wonderful intimate artistic space, loved it start to finish!
My friend ordered the Squab, I had the Steak Frite/hangar steak. BOTH were amazing! Baked Alaska for dessert, next time I'll order that for myself and not share!!
Great food and wonderful service. I love the "amuse bouche" and final small sweet. Food is local, beautifully prepared and plated. One of my favorites in Ashland when we are there for the Shakespeare Festival. The restaurant is small, so occasionally a tiny bit more noise than I prefer. In summer, the terrace out back is open, with heat for chilly northwest nights.
For any special occasion, small groups for intimate dining. Small but we'll thought out speciality menu well prepared and presented. Great personal service.
Visiting from out of town and happened upon this fabulous restaurant. Loved all aspects of it!
Amuse is our favorite restaurant in Ashland. Excellent food and service
Our tasty amuse bouche arrived promptly. Service was comfortably attentive and friendly. Scallop and shrimp entrees were delicious. Wine was very good, and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
Amuse is my favorite restaurant in Ashland. I dine at Amuse each time I visit. Delicious,
healthy, well prepared and elegant.
Amuse is consistently one of the best restaurants in Southern Oregon. While the menu seldom changes, the tried and true favorites do not disappoint.
Another wonderful meal—first visit for our son and added sister-in-law and nephew. Excellent vegetarian options as well.
We had been before and really enjoyed it. This time it was just fine, but not very stimulating. The halibut was on the verge of overcooked. The prawns were nicely done. Not a good value for the prices.
The owner is a enophile, but his wine list no longer reflects some of his expertise in foreign imports. Everything is local, which is good for people visiting from outside of OR.
We received a gift certificate for $150.00 and with tip our meal dessert and drinks used all of it
The food was outstanding in taste, presentation and portion. The cocktails were smallish and spendy. The room we were in was small and noisy do to tight quarters. Overall the food made it worth it for a special occasion meal out.
Excellent dining, as always. We have been visiting Amuse since 2 weeks after they opened in 2000 and have returned many times because we love the food, ambiance, and service there. The wines are always well chosen. Our first choice in Ashland!
Another STELLAR meal at Amuse. From the appetizers to the dessert...fabulous...as ALWAYS!!
Each time I'm in Ashland for a workshop, I look forward to a dinner at Amuse. This time I met dear friends and we all enjoyed our food and drinks very much. All was delicious! We had a wonderful waitress who was super helpful and we stayed through desert and after dinner coffees. I can't wait to return!
We eat at Amuse every time we visit Ashland ... generally twice a year ... and have been doing so since they opened 18 years ago. The food and the service are consistently excellent — on a par or better than similarly priced restaurants in SF, Portland or Seattle.
We had a lovely dinner, as always! The food was delicious, service was great and we look forward to our next dining experience at Amuse.
Delicious innovative and creative food expertly prepared and served by a knowledgeable and personable staff. I have eaten there 4 times now and it is definitely in the top 3 of my favorite restaurants in Ashland - I always make a point to bring guests here! Everyone loves it
another great meal at Amuse. Always consistently very good to great. Service always attentive, not rushed but mindful for those who are attending a play.
Lovely meal with delicious food. Quiet date night spot.
The food was phenomenal and the experience was fantastic. Definitely a great date night or special occasion dinner spot!
The food was amazing and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Very nice quaint establishment. Excellent service and outstanding food
We were second time visitors to Amuse. Wonderful service and cuisine.
Certainly among Ashland's best restaurants, if not the best. All dishes are aesthetically pleasing and cooked to perfection. Portions are generous. I had monkfish with a cauliflower reduction sauce. It was excellent. It ought to be good. The chef is cordon-bleu trained.
Amuse serves good bistro food in a nice environment delivered by a competent and friendly staff. The prices are high, and not commensurate with the potential of the dishes. It would be easy for a party of two to incur a tab for <$250,00, with wine, and ordering servings from each of the 4 different courses. I noticed that many tables around us ordered only two to three courses, keeping the tab within greater reason. Regardless, I would rate the taste of the food a "B", at best. Originality a "B". The presentation an "A", and service an "A". Amuse is a pleasant, intimate restaurant with a bit of an upscale menu which makes for a nice place for a special event.
Ambience was awkward, tight quarters where you felt like you were sitting at the next persons table. You could hear every conversation going on. Dinner was prepared well but not that exciting. Dates with blue cheese and balsamic is not very original, just saying. Gnocchi was over salted, swordfish, not overdone but bland.
Always wonderful! Our server was the best and the food was delicious.
Meal of the year!!!!
The last few years we've spent New Years Eve (which is also our anniversary) here. Occasionally we think about going somewhere else, but always end up deciding to come to Amuse. They never disappoint!
