As always, Chef Hari continues to produce the most amazing food in Rehoboth Beach. His creativity never ceases to shine, with combinations and preparations you will not find anywhere else. What a treat to have a gastronomic experience available in our little beach town.
Very nice food and very friendly server. Will definitely go again!
Special evening. Waiter Chris was personable and attentive, food was amazing. My husband's Udon Noodles was one of the best things he has ever had. LOL, he can't remember what the appetizer included, but he remembers how much he loved it. Orchiette was also a big hit. My crab toast was fair but interesting. 72 hour braised short ribs also outstanding. Will be back again.
The only issue we had was that services was very slow. The restaurant was no busy (it is off season at the beach after all) but it took 30 minutes between appetizer and entrees. the server was very apologetic and brought us another appetizer on the house. When the entrees did arrive, they were very good.
We ordered a bottle of wine, but when it came found it to be flat and definitely beyond its prime. The restaurant replaced it with another wine of similar type and price without any hassle. Very nice service in that regard.
All in all, a very good meal that thankfully we were not rushed for, so the slow service was not too big a problem. I think the kitchen may have messed something up and had to refire it.
I simply love this place! My meal was absolutely superb.... from the amazing cheese (with some almonds, honey, etc.) to the perfectly prepared duck breast (with lentils, mushrooms, grilled escarole) to the sublime tasting of three different house made gelatos (White chocolate, coffee, and best of all, BRIE). We find AMUSE to be consistenly superb, unlike other upscale places on the same street (ahem). AND, that the chef changes the menu frequently speaks highly to the commitment this restaurant has to fine dining. Really, I cannot say enough. AND, the staff. OMG, the best!
The food was very unusual. Everything was very tasty and well presented and the waiters told us what we were eating and what spices were used. I, however, do not like raw meat. We were served an uncooked beef which I was afraid to eat and also raw duck. The shrimp and scallops were very lightly cooked. I would have also liked a nice slice of cake instead of a brownie with coconut on it with vanilla ice cream.
Everything was just delightful! The cuisine was out of this world. I was a little under the weather and they made me a hot Toddy on a whim, and even it had its own touch of excellence. Just all around great!
Top end for the beach area
One of the higher rated venues in Rehoboth Beach, and well deserved. We’ve frequented quite a few over the past year and would have to rate a(MUSE) at the top of the list.
Cocktail menu is excellent; lots of hand-crafted choices to start the fete. Wine selection is also very good; mark-up is in the 50% range from retail pricing which is not unreasonable for a vacation spot. More than enough recognizable selections on the list and some interesting excursions beyond the ordinary.
We were there during Valentine’s Day week so the holiday menu was still in play. Outstanding bone-in ribeye for 2, locally sourced and perfectly prepared. Looking forward to returning and exploring some of the other options. The “pot brownie” desert is insanely good.
The wait staff is great — neighborly, professional, and well-versed on every menu item. Really made the evening an exceptional outing.
Second time we went there and both times the food and service were great
We had very high expectations for a romantic Valentines dinner. The limited choices and lackluster menu resulted in a disappointing experience.
When the owner/chef come to your table to thank you for coming it’s a great night. Food was amazing as always...a work of art in many ways. Service couldn’t have been better. Extraordinary flavor and offerings.
Kitchen overwhelmed. Took 1 hour & 45 minutes for entree’s. No apologies. No complimentary drink or dessert. Lack professionalism & aptitude.
Interesting eclectic selection, excellently prepared and presented.
It was an off-season night, service was perfection he even updated me on the Eagles game! Food was fantastic, the broccoli rabe was outstanding and the anchovies were excellent! Great place for a date or special occasion. We will be returning!
Our waitress, Emily, was Great! She answered all our questions with grace and she put together a fantastic cheese plate after asking us just a few questions about what we like. Make sure you try the Pot Brownie for dessert. A bit pricey, but really worth it for a nice dinner out where you don't have to dress up.
Absolutely great appetizers and entrée. Average dessert. Very expensive. Service was excellent.
The food was better than average for a "locally sourced"-type restaurant. The service was a little lackluster...not rude or unfriendly, but the waitress seemed a bit distracted and unsure about the food/drinks she was serving. This is not a restaurant for a quick meal. If you are looking for a quick in and out...this isn't going to fit your needs. The prices were a little steep for the wine and entrees. Appetizers and cheese plates were fairly reasonable. Portions were better than expected and the plating and presentation were very appealing to the eye. If I can be honest, I don't know that I'd return (considering how many other restaurants are in the area), but I'd definitely recommend trying it once.
Our 3rd time at aMuse and we have not been disappointed by any of our visits. The food is not run of the mill, so some adventurous in your nature will help you enjoy your visit. If you decide on the 5 course menu come hungry as the portions are more than enough to satisfy.
Amazing as always! The food was stellar (the cornbread ice cream was my favorite; the sheep’s milk ricotta was a very close second). The service is phenomenal too.
New Yesrs Eve Dinner - top quality ingredients, delicious courses, some truly unique items deliciously prepared. Well worthwhile , I imagine, at any time of the year. Professional, friendly service.
This meal was laughably bad from start to finish. We arrived at 645 for our 7 pm reservation on New Year's Eve and were greeted COLDLY by the hostess. She seemed surprised we had a reservation, and directed us to the bar. When we sat at the bar, the bartender, who seemed drunk, informed us that we would have to move shortly because those seats were reserved. We told him we were expecting a table and that he was rude, and he reacted defensively. Again, he seemed drunk. We were eventually seated for our $100 each fixed five course menu. Course three had ridiculous choices - pork, celery root and hare? The celery root was disgusting, by the way. A man named Glen, who presumably works there, came up to our table and said he was "glad we found a seat," as if we did not have a reservation.
I have been going to Rehoboth for 20 years and spend a lot of money there - I will never again dine at this establishment. thumbs down.
Love love this restaurant. Unique, professional and very friendly staffs. Food was amazing!!!
The staff is always absolutely fantastic and friendly, and the food is always amazing!
Great service and creative dishes........a little pricey!
Fantastic!!! I've been coming to a(MUSE.) since it opened. The food is always spectacular and the service never falters. The star of the show was a peach mignonette oyster that was an unforgettable party in your mouth. The short rib was right there with it, but got edged out but just barely. We'll definitely be back again!
My family's favorite restaurant. It is amazing and a gift that a chef could make such flavors and texture combinations. We trust everything that comes out of his kitchen. Highly priced but the experience is worth every penny.
Corned beef not described on menu- Prize not to get a piece of meat but to get a chopped up cabbage dish
Another excellent dining experience at Amuse! The gem of Rehoboth!!!!!!!
Been several times, and this place does not disappoint. If you are not one to experiment with new flavor combinations, stay away.
Started with the always-on-the-menu potted chicken with toasted bread tiles. It was a wonderful appetizer. It was not a scarf it down app, you had to spoon it out, so it filled the time until the entree showed up. It is the many flavors of chicken!
My entree was fresh bucatini with homemade crumbled sausage, cherry tomatoes and herbs. The pasta was dense and the sausage was so flavorful.
I always recommend aMuse, and last night was a fabulous fine dining experience.
Outstanding, delicious, creative food, made with top-notch ingredients and great skill.
Always interesting and very good. We visit often. Danny terrific. One of our favorites.
Spectacular as always. Excellent service and fantastic food.
Had the tasting menu. The ingredients were local and fresh. The portions were large for a tasting menu. The kitchen was flexible. The server was knowledgeable. The dishes were generally rich, maybe too much so for a tasting menu. Did not find the dishes that creative.
Very limited menu off season and tasteless food. Can't believe how highly recommended this restaurant is.
We moved to nearby Lewes three months ago and have eaten here twice because we have heard so many good things about it. It's fine, but I can't say anyone in either foursome raved about any dish. It's good, fine...not as impressive as its reputation.
The food excellent however, the waiter took a very unpleasant turn when with the table as he loudly and most annoyingly insisted that he be called a server. His subsequent attitude ruined the evening. It will be some time before we return.
Halibut chowder was absolutely perfect. Silky smooth, nice chunks of fish, Generous portion, seasoned just right. We had soup and split three starters in order to get a wider sampling. No disappointments
Service was good during most of the evening, restaurant was very busy. Would definitely return and try an entree.
An excellent experience. Service 5 star. Food spectacular.
From first to, well, not exactly worst, but a great disappointment. Food was still very good, but in general it wasn’t supported by comparable service, knowledge or attitude.
During our prior visit to Rehoboth Beach, we found Amuse to be both stellar and memorable. Our experience made us look forward to returning, and being wowed once again with the chef’s tasting menu and catered to by a crew who took delight in sharing a deep affection for each plate; a sommelier’s respect for not only the wine list itself, but a care in serving it and a level of professionalism commensurate with the pricey menu.
Wasn’t to be this year, I’m afraid. Servers had little understanding of either the food or wine. Bread (really good btw), had to be provided by a manager, as our waiter(s) never bothered. We mostly poured our own wine (not a biggy, other than as measured against the cost of the meal). Quite frankly, while there was plenty of help, they seemed to be literally running in circles or chatting with their friends.
Again, the food was unique, but I would think that Chef Hari could put a better frame around his art. He's done it before…I do hope that Amuse regains all the attributes that we fondly recall from our first visit. Our most recent left much to be desired.
