Our meal was enjoyable, starting with sampling two cheeses. Salad and spring vegetable appetizers were fresh and not overly filling. We had the duck breast and soft shelled crabs. Both were cooked nicely and were very tasty. I would definitely return.
This is the sixth time we have gone to aMuse, and the food and service is always worth the visit. We love the creative dishes, and really feel like the chef takes into consideration what is in season. The wait staff is attentive and will accommodate any request with food. The bar is great with mixed drinks, the wine list has lots of choices, and the beer list is varied as well. I highly recommend if you are in Rehoboth, go here.
We had a lovely meal at a(MUSE). The service was friendly and prompt, without being overly present. The the smoked salmon pate and the potted chicken were excellent. We followed those by two of their half sized pasta dishes, both of which were very tasty indeed, and much larger than we anticipated - so much so that we didn't have room to order from their extensive cheese course, which looked fantastic. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for an excellent meal.
I still assert that this is the most innovative restaurant I have ever been to in the greater DC/Delmarva area! Started out with an appetizer of bamboo poached in broth with some Calabria chili for heat and nasturtium leaves for a bit of “bite”... fresh, delicious, unusual and flat out incredible! For an entree I had the rockfish which was cooked perfectly and served with a fresh spring pea risotto..divine!! My husband had a chowder to start then soft shell crabs served lightly floured and sautéed with asparagus . Had to taste and they were outstanding! Our server, Danny, was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine as well as being a very pleasant person. Portions were very adequate and larger than I remembered from our last visit. We had a delightful evening and will certainly return!
We had a wonderful dinner here. We went for the tasting menu (with wine pairings) and had 5 delicious courses and excellent wines. The service was excellent. We really liked the scallops with mushrooms. The sauce was divine. We would definitely go back and have already recommended to friends.
We love a(MUSE.). We always have a wonderful time and a delicious meal. A problem is ordering too much because everything sounds so good while reading the menu. The Delaware rockfish is quite delicious and creatively prepared with pickled vets and kimchee. Our server, Chris, made us happy. We will be back as always. Noise level is bad, but if you ask for a table next to the wall, it helps.
Hari and his team never disappoint as the menu is creative and always delicious. The soft shell crab is excellent and we could go on and on about the other choices. One of the best spots in Rehoboth!
Just another great meal. Enough items on the menu so everybody had what interested them.
We love this place and have it on our list of favorites in Rehoboth.
Amuse is s wonderful place to go for any reason. Not only the food is outstanding but David the bartender was a hoot. He can really make a great drink. We all had bamboo for the first time and it was fabulous.
Our second time here. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The first time we had outstanding food. This meal, while good, was not on the same level. Scallop dish was amazing and duck was delicious but the steak offering was chewy and the house salad underwhelming. Would not suggest dessert. We ordered two to share and neither was very good.
service impeccable, food overthought and combination ingredients off. Will try again and hope for a hit.
First time at a(Muse.) We arrived early (during happy hour!) for our 7pm reservation. Had so much fun sitting at the bar - chatting up fellow diners and the bartender David was great to banter with - that we stayed at the bar for dinner. Great values during happy hour. Dinner items are creative and tasty (my only request would be to add something "green" to the steak entree). Will definitely be back!
Amuse has become my "Go To" restaurant in Rehoboth, a town that has an astonishing array of fine restaurants. What I truly appreciate is the chef's willingness to take chances and create dishes that are often sublime. Every once in awhile things don't quite come together (as in the pound cake I had for dessert.... lovely, in a way, but it just didn't quite gel)... but, when he's on the money, WOW. The heirloom carrot salad was over the top. The carmelized scallops... sublime. All this plus really wonderful service adds up to a restaurant that I cherish visiting.
The tasting menu was outstanding. Every single bite brought a surprise to my mouth. All the layers of flavors perfectly balanced...from the aperitif to the final course; definitely one of the best places I’ve visited in the United States
Great dining experience. Friendly greeting when we entered and great ambience. Smart looking restaurant. Danny was terrific and knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We started with a cheese platter and loved it. We also have the turkey laarb which was sensational! Great taste quality and value. The tuna dish was terrific and the pasta with sweet potato was terrific as well. Really enjoyed a(muse). A high recommend.
It was a delightful experience. We required gluten free because of celiac disease. The staff was knowledgeable and double checked our entrees with the chef. They did not bring bread to the table which showed they were alert. I had the duck, which I requested gluten free so I could share. My husband had the scallops. Both meals were amazing! What an enjoyable way to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
As always, Chef Hari continues to produce the most amazing food in Rehoboth Beach. His creativity never ceases to shine, with combinations and preparations you will not find anywhere else. What a treat to have a gastronomic experience available in our little beach town.
Very nice food and very friendly server. Will definitely go again!
Special evening. Waiter Chris was personable and attentive, food was amazing. My husband's Udon Noodles was one of the best things he has ever had. LOL, he can't remember what the appetizer included, but he remembers how much he loved it. Orchiette was also a big hit. My crab toast was fair but interesting. 72 hour braised short ribs also outstanding. Will be back again.
The only issue we had was that services was very slow. The restaurant was no busy (it is off season at the beach after all) but it took 30 minutes between appetizer and entrees. the server was very apologetic and brought us another appetizer on the house. When the entrees did arrive, they were very good.
We ordered a bottle of wine, but when it came found it to be flat and definitely beyond its prime. The restaurant replaced it with another wine of similar type and price without any hassle. Very nice service in that regard.
All in all, a very good meal that thankfully we were not rushed for, so the slow service was not too big a problem. I think the kitchen may have messed something up and had to refire it.
I simply love this place! My meal was absolutely superb.... from the amazing cheese (with some almonds, honey, etc.) to the perfectly prepared duck breast (with lentils, mushrooms, grilled escarole) to the sublime tasting of three different house made gelatos (White chocolate, coffee, and best of all, BRIE). We find AMUSE to be consistenly superb, unlike other upscale places on the same street (ahem). AND, that the chef changes the menu frequently speaks highly to the commitment this restaurant has to fine dining. Really, I cannot say enough. AND, the staff. OMG, the best!
The food was very unusual. Everything was very tasty and well presented and the waiters told us what we were eating and what spices were used. I, however, do not like raw meat. We were served an uncooked beef which I was afraid to eat and also raw duck. The shrimp and scallops were very lightly cooked. I would have also liked a nice slice of cake instead of a brownie with coconut on it with vanilla ice cream.
Everything was just delightful! The cuisine was out of this world. I was a little under the weather and they made me a hot Toddy on a whim, and even it had its own touch of excellence. Just all around great!
Top end for the beach area
One of the higher rated venues in Rehoboth Beach, and well deserved. We’ve frequented quite a few over the past year and would have to rate a(MUSE) at the top of the list.
Cocktail menu is excellent; lots of hand-crafted choices to start the fete. Wine selection is also very good; mark-up is in the 50% range from retail pricing which is not unreasonable for a vacation spot. More than enough recognizable selections on the list and some interesting excursions beyond the ordinary.
We were there during Valentine’s Day week so the holiday menu was still in play. Outstanding bone-in ribeye for 2, locally sourced and perfectly prepared. Looking forward to returning and exploring some of the other options. The “pot brownie” desert is insanely good.
The wait staff is great — neighborly, professional, and well-versed on every menu item. Really made the evening an exceptional outing.
Second time we went there and both times the food and service were great
We had very high expectations for a romantic Valentines dinner. The limited choices and lackluster menu resulted in a disappointing experience.
When the owner/chef come to your table to thank you for coming it’s a great night. Food was amazing as always...a work of art in many ways. Service couldn’t have been better. Extraordinary flavor and offerings.
Kitchen overwhelmed. Took 1 hour & 45 minutes for entree’s. No apologies. No complimentary drink or dessert. Lack professionalism & aptitude.
Interesting eclectic selection, excellently prepared and presented.
It was an off-season night, service was perfection he even updated me on the Eagles game! Food was fantastic, the broccoli rabe was outstanding and the anchovies were excellent! Great place for a date or special occasion. We will be returning!
Our waitress, Emily, was Great! She answered all our questions with grace and she put together a fantastic cheese plate after asking us just a few questions about what we like. Make sure you try the Pot Brownie for dessert. A bit pricey, but really worth it for a nice dinner out where you don't have to dress up.
Absolutely great appetizers and entrée. Average dessert. Very expensive. Service was excellent.
The food was better than average for a "locally sourced"-type restaurant. The service was a little lackluster...not rude or unfriendly, but the waitress seemed a bit distracted and unsure about the food/drinks she was serving. This is not a restaurant for a quick meal. If you are looking for a quick in and out...this isn't going to fit your needs. The prices were a little steep for the wine and entrees. Appetizers and cheese plates were fairly reasonable. Portions were better than expected and the plating and presentation were very appealing to the eye. If I can be honest, I don't know that I'd return (considering how many other restaurants are in the area), but I'd definitely recommend trying it once.
Our 3rd time at aMuse and we have not been disappointed by any of our visits. The food is not run of the mill, so some adventurous in your nature will help you enjoy your visit. If you decide on the 5 course menu come hungry as the portions are more than enough to satisfy.
Amazing as always! The food was stellar (the cornbread ice cream was my favorite; the sheep’s milk ricotta was a very close second). The service is phenomenal too.
New Yesrs Eve Dinner - top quality ingredients, delicious courses, some truly unique items deliciously prepared. Well worthwhile , I imagine, at any time of the year. Professional, friendly service.
This meal was laughably bad from start to finish. We arrived at 645 for our 7 pm reservation on New Year's Eve and were greeted COLDLY by the hostess. She seemed surprised we had a reservation, and directed us to the bar. When we sat at the bar, the bartender, who seemed drunk, informed us that we would have to move shortly because those seats were reserved. We told him we were expecting a table and that he was rude, and he reacted defensively. Again, he seemed drunk. We were eventually seated for our $100 each fixed five course menu. Course three had ridiculous choices - pork, celery root and hare? The celery root was disgusting, by the way. A man named Glen, who presumably works there, came up to our table and said he was "glad we found a seat," as if we did not have a reservation.
I have been going to Rehoboth for 20 years and spend a lot of money there - I will never again dine at this establishment. thumbs down.
Love love this restaurant. Unique, professional and very friendly staffs. Food was amazing!!!
