Amura - Dr. Phillips Ratings and Reviews
Went to AMURA for our 13 yo daughters birthday dinner and they did a marvelous job of educating our girl on culinary sushi variations. EZ the waiter kept us all very entertained, recommended perfect drinks for all and took pictures for us as a family
Nightly recommended special occasion place for Fathers to take their daughters and wife
We had a big group. We came in for a reunion. I asked if we could have "some privacy" so as not to disturb other customers. They suggested the Hibachi room - and gave us 2 tables. It was perfect because we had the room to ourselves most of the time. Our server was excellent, so accommodating, friendly and serviceable.
We attend a conference in Orlando every other year and This was our 3rd time visiting Amura and perhaps the last. The service was very, V.E.R.Y. Slow. We sat at one of the 3 hibatchi tables (of which only 2 were occupied) and it took our waitress Approx 20 mins to get drinks on the table and we didn't get our sushi until an hour after we arrived. The sushi was good but not as good as I remember. The hibatchi chef was very entertaining and that food was great! All in all, not a bad experience but an average experience.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our dinner at Amura. Our waiter was very friendly, fast and helpful. We had a wide range of dishes at our table and everyone really enjoyed their food. The egg rolls were the best ones we have eaten in Orlando and the gyoza was very good.
My sons and husband each had several different types of sushi and they said all the rolls were good. The only complaint was how expensive the veggie rolls were. That part was a bit overpriced.
My daughter and I both got hot meals.she had the spicy garlic chicken and I had the orange chicken. Both meals were crispy and full of flavor.
We will definitely be coming back!
