   I used to come here a lot when I lived in area and was looking forward to dinner there. I can honestly say I will never be back. It is definitely under new management. They were only 25% full and waiter did not come to table for 20 minutes and when he took our order he didn’t write anything down and got so many things wrong. After such a long wait and we just accepted whatever food the waiter ordered from the voices in his head. The food that we were served was sub par and way below average. Truly a shame this use to be a great place

   This is not Amura even though it has some of the same menu items. Limited entree selection, new name and new decor. Service was a little slow. The people at some of the surrounding tables seemed to have the same problem with slow service as well. Not the best experience overall, but the food was good.

   It was fine but I have been to Amura many times before over the past 17 years when I am town for business. I found the sushi good but not as great as before. The server was nice enough but lacked any urgency or standard service levels. Manager was very nice and took something off our check that wasn’t what we thought it would be. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

   Hostess seemed put-off that we wanted a table for our reservation, rather than a seat at the bar. 10 minutes before any waitperson noticed us. Another 5 before someone asked for our drink order. They never brought water. Ended up ordering everything at once since we did think we’d be successful if we ordered course-by-course. The sushi and sushimi were okay, the salad was...wet. The teriyaki was about 20% sweeter than usual...very odd. Amura is Definitely off of our local restaurant menu for a while.

   Food was amazing! I was pleased to get a valentines day reservation that morning, even though it wasn’t specifically a Valentine’s Day meal. It was our last day in Orlando and we wanted to go out with a bang! Everything was fresh and so delicious! Tuna tartake app was YUM!

    Food was great, service slow, price was fair. This restaurant offers some of the best sushi in town. Their hospitality (especially hostess) was either slow or lacking all together.

    The sushi was outstanding, and the server was very attentive. Highly recommend the spicy garlic edamame... It's *very* spicy and totally worth the dollar up-charge. We'll definitely be return visitors.

    The experience was horrible First and foremost they didn’t check me in said I was no show and looking back over the summer they never confirmed my visits so I lost all my 5800 points 2nd Hair in my food, 3rd waitress spoke so soft we couldn’t understand her and she didn’t understand the menu so she kept coming back and we had to change our order.     We had the highest hopes of spending our NYE at Amura with some Hibachi and friends. Unfortunately they seriously dropped the ball (no pun intended). Sitting ya at our reservation time of 730pm which was great but then coming to us to tell us they are severely short handed and we wouldn’t eat for at least another hour. At this time we were already there, no other reservations for NYE and we had to adapt. We spoke to who we thought was the manager and asked how this could happen and what we could do to make this right. No suggestions were given to us so we came to the table with some. Maybe buy us some apps or a round of drinks. Anything to say “ we value your business and we are sorry”. But no. Luckily for us we had great friends around and trying to see the best for the New Year, while our stomachs rumbled from hunger. 9pm our chef came to the table and we began our experience. 1.5 hours late. Food was decent but timing was so off the rice and noodles were cold when our protein was cooked. Just unfortunate overall and not how we had intended. At the end of our meal we were told this “always happen on NYE” , well it will be our last time. Happy New Year everyone!

    We were in town for the holiday and based on previous experience chose Amir’s for sushi on New Years Eve! It was a great choice and both the food and service were excellent! We tried several appetizers and many (sorry but don’t remember all the names) sushi rolls - they did not disappoint! We learned that the restaurant was under new ownership but were reassured our experience would be as good if not better than before - and they were right! Will definitely visit the next time we are back in town!!

    The waiters seemed in a hurry to get our party of 7 out as soon as possible and have another serving. They were gruff. The sweetest Ponzu sauce I have ever had ruined an otherwise beautiful Tuna Tataki.

    Haven’t been there in a couple years, but have probably dined there a half dozen times over the years. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. The dining room was kind of dark, which probably makes the food less appealing. Service was mediocre with a missed item.

    Don’t go it’s not Amura anymore...We have been to Amura many times over the years and it was a favorite of ours. This time was horrible! I had a reservation for 6 people for my sons birthday. The service was terrible. Our waiter was untrained he almost spilled water on me he then served our food from one end of the table telling us to pass it to whoever ordered it “he didn’t know who had what food” we all got our main dishes at different times and had to keep asking for water refills and my son had the ribs with no silverware. He asked for a knife to cut the meat and the server brought him a table knife instead of a steak knife! My husband ordered Sake and the server brought just the bottle didn’t open it or bring a glass to pour it in. The sushi that was supposed to be warm was cold. It was just a terrible experience and we realized it’s new ownership! We will never return!

    The waitress was nice but very slow in communication and kept us waiting at least 25 minutes from arrival to bring any food. Being that it was our first time at this side of the restaurant and for a special occasion, we should have had a better communication. The food and the service of the guy was outstanding. Even the detail of the young lady of bringing the desert with a nice message in chocolate was sweet. However, we were NOT happy at all to have been charged for the tequila! She asked which one we wanted and provided choices, we chose one, BUT were never told that your place charged for the alcohol in a drink!!! We should have never been charged for it without our consent . No where else we have asked for a drink, including the other side have we ever been added an amount besides the price of the drink to cover the alcohol in it. That is why I tip her low and the least I expect is an adjustment on our bill. You ruined what otherwise was a very nice evening for my husband’s birthday. That is not an acceptable practice. We will not accept false advertising and illegal charging without consent.,specially for alcohol that is included in the drink. The 4 drinks were more expensive than the whole meal! Where else do they charge for the liquor on your drink? No where in FL! Why did she?

    From 8pm to 10:10 pm I was given one water, never offered another one. Our plates didnt leave the table until 9:50 and at 10:10 there is still 7 cups on the table. I have been coming to this restaurant for 15 years and never experienced service this bad.

    Went for my birthday. Food was ok, menu was changed. I normally order tuna tataki appetizer, but the ingredients/toppings were changed. I prefer the one before. Even the sauce was different. Service was so so, definitely need improvement.

    This is not Amura, it's now Akasaka. The menu has changed. The sushi rolls are boring. They taste fine, just not inventive. Gyoza was bland, orange chicken was over fried and tough. Its expensive too. Not worth the money.

    This is not our first time in the restaurant, but the first one in the hibachi!!...todays review is in base of the teppanyaki!!...Sushi and the right side of the restaurant is excellent, but the hibachi area, doesn’t. They need to improve a lot!!...because right now is not even close to the worst teppanyaki in the world!!

    This was a graduation dinner for my god daughter which I booked here because it was a zagat rated sushi restaurant on all of the best sushi restaurant lists in Orlando. This is no longer Amura, it has a different name, not zagat rated and the service was BAD.
