We had a great time on St Patrick's Day. The Brunch is always great here, too. I had the boiled dinner and it was a very generous portion, and it was fantastic! Will definitely return!
Celebrated my moms 80th bday here in St Pattys day and Erica took great care of us! Loved the turkey burger as well.
You almost had to scream to be heard - energetic is being very kind - it was horribly loud. My friend had chicken which was so tough it was inedible. I have to give credit to our waitress who was charming and helpful. Two other waitresses came over to the table in back of us - and leaning on the back of our booth - proceeded to enter into their conversation yelling as loudly as the customers. It was a most unpleasant evening and one I will never repeat
Visiting from out of town and took a hotel recommendation. WOW! What a find. I WILL return. We all tasted each dish and I want to return for the shrimp scampi. The beet salad was a great healthy alternative after a vacation full of eating. When I am back in Boston, I will definitely return. Prices are reasonable. The menu is diverse and the service was super. Friendly servers were great. The tiramisu dessert was a perfect end to the meal, too.
I have been having a monthly lunch here for eight years. I have found the food OK at best. But this week
I ordered the Neapolitan Calamari, it was outstanding. It should be on the main menu. Great flavor
and balance, a real treat, please do not take it off the menu!!!!
Short Ribs special was very good Service was very good also.
They didn’t have enough staff & those they did were churn & burn. They seemed exhausted. It was a struggle to get a refill on my coffee...at brunch. I’d been wanting to try the restaurant since moving here but it wasn’t much of an experience
Glad I made a reservation. It was lunchtime, but it was really crowded. The food was very good. I had the Salmon & my husband had the Fish & Chips. We both were happy with our meal. We shared a desert, Terimisu...very nice. We would go back, but would try to get there after the lunch crowd.
Very disappointed with this place. My omelette order was wrong and the drinks were 12 dollars. My sisters silverware was also dirty. Will not be going back.
Delicious food consistently ,attentive friendly service without being too much... awesome!
Our party of 4 had a delightful brunch. The french toast was excellent! Our server was a great guy.
great spot for sunday brunch. we lingered for three hours and were not made to feel rushed or asked to leave. Food and service very good. Parking a real bonus
Nice restaurant, good food but a little pricey but then again where is a cheap restaurant with good food.
The back room (which is quieter) was closed for a private party so we (my girlfriend and I, in our 70s) had to sit in the part near the bar and there was a large party of about 30 young girls who were extremely noisy, in addition to the music which was far too loud. So we could hardly hear ourselves speak and had to shout and repeat things the whole time. It was a miserable experience. It was perhaps a one-time thing, but ruined our evening. However, the food and service were very good.
Great food, great spot, only con was the music was rather loud at 6:30 so the conversation had to be elevated
Excellent food, our waitress Renee was awesome! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Enjoyable night and the food was good but the salads were small for the entree price we paid. I guess this is what it's like eating in Southie now. Drinks menu looked fine but again on pricey side. Comfy booth for our party but quite loud, especially for the older member of our party.
Awesome as always, go every week with family and frienda
Great place to meet for dinner on a cold winter night in Boston. We each chose a comfort food favorite and everything was delicious. Very friendly and attentive wait staff even on a busy night. Great acoustics - lively crowd but able to have a conversation at the table.
Excellent as Always
My family and I were celebrating my birthday, my daughter’s birthday and the end of the semester for her also. It was a fun place to do that and we all enjoyed our meals very much. So. Boston is so up and coming and it was nice to go somewhere new.
Martini's were very good, burgers, Portobello mushrooms, and ribs all tasty!
We had a lovely night out with great service. Good ambiance.
Dinner was good food was great our waiter was very nice but the restaurant overall was very loud . We would come here again but it would be nice if they could have some noise control
Amrhein's quality has gone up and down over the last few years, but our recent visit was very satisfactory. A short rib special was cooked well and high quality. The gravy was on the bland side, but the unexpected halved cherry tomatoes added a surprising pop of flavor. Really nice service.
Food was really good. Waitress was fabulous, friendly, & helpful.
Very noise; loud music from bar area.
Food was meh. Very noisy.
Very noisy for dining but I always go back.
Always great comfortable friendly delicious and good value.
Our waitress was amazing. She help make it an enjoyable evening.
Our food was really good. Beet salad, calamari for starters - all great. The signature fall entree offering, the Pumpkin Risotto, tasted as great as the presentation suggested that it would. It was our son's 30th birthday dinner and it couldn't have been better!
As usual, Amrhines is always a fantastic spot for either a casual lunch or dinner. For a special occasion I always feel like it is better than being at home. We celebrated a birthday and were pleased with the food and service. I had scrumptious turkey, other’s had chicken, lobster-Mac and pot pie. We all left as “ Happy Campers “.
The food is v always great and we were taken care of by our favorite person.
Recently went to Amrheins with family and friends. We had great food, waitress was so nice, friendly and very attentive. Great atmosphere and the best thing I would say is you can have great conversations and are able to hear what everyone was saying. The music is great not too loud and you can still hear each other. I had the pumpkin risotto, chicken, cranberries, nuts and it was delicious! Definitely will be back!
As usual, we had another great meal here. I had the chicken pot pie, which was excellent (and very hot), my guests had the salmon, chicken Parmesan, and a large salad. All meals were excellent, particularly the pot pie and the salmon, and everyone truly enjoyed the place.
The service was excellent - my guests commented on the service, ambiance, and the food - and rated this as an excellent selection for bringing out of Towners for a good Boston meal. The clam chowder was excellent and thick, but we were so stuffed we couldn't have the desserts. I know for a fact that Boston cream pie is fantastic.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant where all the food is well prepared, generous portions, a full bar and beer selection, and great long time wait staff who can't seem to do enough for you - this is the place.
Amrheins is conveniently located 1 block up West Broadway from the Broadway subway stop on the red line. It has its own parking lot, and this was an ideal location for me to meet my out of town and commuter guests for dinner.
We had a great time, great food and drinks, and I plan to make this my "go to" place.
Very good food. Seafood was fresh! Service was excellent. It is especially nice that there is a parking lot, too!!
Had Turkey Club, sandwich huge but missing somthing not sure what. Very noisy making conversation difficult.
Our waitress was excellent she paid attention to our beverages and anythi g we may have needed when things were getting low.
They were kid friendly which definitely makes you more comfortable when eating out with our granddaughter.
The food was excellent and served fresh, hot and in a timely manner!!
Fantastic! Wonderful food and service was amazing. Thank you!
Service was a team effort centered on the customer excellent job, the Lobster pie was dry, fair portions, clean friendly place we will be returning.
