Real Food for Real People
It's an amazing venue.
The food is always delicious and beautifully presented.
We have never had a bad experience at Ampersand 27. Food and service are always great.
We came here for brunch on Sunday. Seated immediately with a reservation. Service staff were nice and the atmosphere is great. Unfortunately both of our meals came out more lukewarm than hot, so that is our only complaint. Would probably come here again for a second chance, hopefully that was just a one-off.
Most incredible food, very lovely atmosphere and wonderful service!!
Second visit here. Clientele, staff, decore and food make for a great evening dining experience
The service was fantastic. Our server was super friendly. My husbands tuna meal missed the mark completely. It was cooked all the way through breaking the golden rule for tuna steak. Beautiful cut of fish should have been seared only not cooked through. Was very dry. My meal was mediocre in flavour. Was our fourth visit and we were surprised because all other visits had impeccable food as well as service.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food was amazing and the drinks were very tasty.
-Expected it to be a little nicer of customers, lots of people dressed like bums kinda took away from the ambiance
-Took way to long, we where there for almost 3 hours for only 2 people and we where some of the only people when we got there.
Everything was great!
Fabulous food in a fabulous location. Great place for any occasion
This was third time eating here and while food ordered was good, was only ordered as second choice since two menu items were unavailable (pork belly and short ribs). Also advised waitress tickets for evening event and time we had to leave however service was extremely slow and entrees were received 10 minutes prior to requested departure time. Left feeling rushed and disappointed this time.
Excellent meal, excellent service. Thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly prepared rib eye and the selection of charcuterie. A slice of civilization on Whyte.
The Falafel salad was one of the best salads that I have ever had. And I eat a lot of salads.
Usually a good spot for brunch. Service was more like order taking this time, had to ask for coffee refills, no check in on the food after it was delivered. Food was good though.
Drinks so not worth the value.
Service was very slow!
Food was not that great
Save your money and try something else
delicious flavor in all the food our table had. Would highly recommend the scallops and ribeye was perfectly cooked. Will be back again to sit by the fireplace.
The food was great, the service was just okay. I think we caught our server on an "off" day.
Brunch was great- good variety on the menu, food was prepared well.
Great for large bookings and very accommodating to our party. Staff was amazing! Would highly recommend
This is my special go to restaurant when I visit my sons. I come here about twice a year. This time, I had to wonder why this is my go to. I love the atmosphere, drinks, service ~ however, the food was quite salty this time - the boys weren't bothered by it; but when you get older you really notice SALT. The bone marrow was way too salty for me. Nothing really stood out as outstanding ~ normally I leave with wanting more ~ this time - not so much.
Food was absolutely amazing service was pretty good and we had a great time, already recommended this place a few times can’t wait to go back!!!
Amazing selection of Gin I will definitely be back for that alone but also had really good food and I liked you can create your own charcuterie as well.
Experience was great. Server was amazing and knowledgeable
It was a wonderful meal. My husband and I enjoyed it very much
Amazing time. Will definitely go back. They were very sweet and the food was delicious.
Amazing food. Try the spring Salad and the rib eye is done perfectly. Great job and highly recommended.
Food was delicious and quite a good value - very flavourful. The roasted cauliflower appetizer with rum raisins and romesco was divine. Mains were a bit salty though, and I generally prefer my cuts of meat less fatty. But they were certainly delicious and the server was exceptionally pleasant.
We went out for my mothers birthday brunch and were overall disappointed. Service was slow and poorly executed - it appeared as if there were not enough servers for the holiday Monday brunch. Some of the List of inadequacies or disappointments
1) milk instead of cream was brought for my mothers coffee, my mother never likes to speak up when dining out but when getting a refill asked for cream this time and the waitress argued said she was sure she brought cream last time. As a server don’t argue with a 60 year old birthday girl who has been demure and kind .
2) I ordered a latte that took over 15 minutes to appear and when it did it was luke warm .
3) Kitchen was out of duck eggs Bennie and breakfast sausage for a holiday long weekend ....
4) ordered 3 types of bennies we were never asked style of poach , when they arrived all three were hard poached ( ugh) and had the smallest visual representation of hollandaise I have ever seen. Both of these factors made the bennies overly dry. Had to request more, by the time arrived Bennie were cold.
5) had to wait 10 minutes to get a refill for my mothers coffee and ask for more sugar as the holder was empty .
6) slow to clear plates , left some dirty side dishes on the table instead of clearing all.
Now the good -
1) quality of ingredients were fantastic
2) great flavour profiles and well executed balance
3) mimosas are cold and yummy !
4) sat by the window which was great !
Overall I’m willing to give this one another try because I think the kitchen is on the right track but it’s a far cry from the service we used to receive when it was murrietta’s .
My food was quite tasty but not warm enough especially if you r serving eggs
The food lacks any real wow factor. And our service was very slow.
The Cosmopolitan I ordered was not good. Had to send it back and replace with club soda. My soup was only warm, but tasty.
The other 3 in my party loved their meals.
We love this place for the food, the staff, service, and the best ice I've ever seen (ask the bartender how they make their ice)!
Awesome as usual, food was so tasty and service was great.
Food was sub par for the price. Decor and ambiance nicer than food as well.
Slow service even though there was only 2 tables at lunch.
The ambiance is great there. Our experience started right at the door with a very friendly hello and then we were seated and our server showed up quite soon and was very friendly was not very impressed with the food although the presentation was impressive.
The food was amazing but portion sizes were a bit small for the price compared to similar places we’ve eaten around the world. We were seated at an oddly shaped table with many other couples on stools. It was generally an awkward seating arrangement for an intimate Valentine’s Day dinner and the stools were not the most comfortable.
Valentine’s Day! They offered a special menu and we tried most of it between the two of us and every bite was amazing!
A bit too greasy, fatty, doughy, unhealthy. Need to rein that in. Caeser had greasy croutons and too many greaay bacon slabs. Risotto kimchee combo kinda yuk. Please refine the food as much as you refine the drinks.
