The staff is always attentive to all our needs and requests. They are always so friendly and gracious. The food is delicious and always satisfying. It’s still remains our favorite restaurant.
Always love the food here and so convenient to home!
Always a wonderful experience
The all-around features of Amore, great food, creative menu, a great wine list, and always superb service, make this a frequent "go to" if for no other reason than, "why not!"
We had another wonderful dinner at Amore this evening. With the huge snow storm headed our way, it was a perfect night for pasta and meatballs, starting with a great greens salad with a fresh and balanced vinaigrette. Thursdays are half-priced wine nights and we enjoyed a great Sangiovese recommended by our server Justin. Justine exemplifies the service at Amore: knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive, but never intrusive. The staff is terrific and their manager Yvonne makes it all work together seamlessly. A wonderful dinner at a reasonable price; if the next few days' weather turns out to be as bad as threatened, and we're stuck at home with soup, crackers and peanut butter, we can comfort ourselves remembering this evening's dinner - the food, the wine, the service - at Amore!
It was not the first time I had dinner at Amore and I was always satisfied. Even if the restaurant des not have a big menu, what is offered is really of good quality. And the wine list is good too. Among dishes I strongly recommend the "cavatelli con salsiccia e tartufo" and the excellent "Zuppa di pesce alla napoletana", the "Pizza Amore" as well as the "Schiacciata al Rosmarino", the salad with "rucola e parmigiano" . Among the desserts the "Olive oil cake" is very special and the "Affogato" is probably the best I tasted in Rochester.
Very nice dinner, great food, little noisy but great experience.
The only thing I wish was different was the price. I love the food, drinks, and service. The restaurant is gorgeous too! I just wish I got more food for $18 a plate minimum. Definitely will return, but only for special occasions.
Our waiter made a mistake entering my meal, so mine was very late. Steak was a little on the fatty side. Ended up getting my meal complimentary from the manager, so the situation was handled well. Just don't think I'll be coming back that very soon.
The place was really nice and the service was amazing, we both got pizzas and they weren't bad but not as great as expected either.
Another excellent supper (pizzas and salads) at Amore. We dined early so we could come home to watch the Olympics and we sat in the pergola area on the first floor (which is one of two beautiful areas Amore makes available for private events.) Amore's wine list features Italian wines and we enjoyed a delicious Bardolino with our dinner; we had never had this wine before and Amore's list allows trying a variety of wines at very reasonable prices. We had a new server this evening who, consistent with every dining experience we've had at Amore, was welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and gracious. It was a lovely and affordable mid-week dinner out and we were home in plenty of time for the Olympics!
The food is always very good, I suggest bringing a book if you come alone. The bathrooms were out of order and we had to hike half way across Wegmans to use the restrooms there. I notice that servers show some partiality to other tables in a conversation and keep their secondary table at bay until they are done with the conversation. The manager is very sweet but did not offer us a glass of wine when the chefs mixed up my wife's order causing a 45 minute delay in receiving our food.
Atmosphere is cozy, Tuscan warmth with open kitchen. Lots of yummy options on the menu - we chose the Arancini balls to start then arugala salad and ribeye for an entree. Very happy with all three choices. Service was spot on. Good wine list options. Definitely going back!
Fantastic meal! The tasting menu is an incredible value.
First time at Amore, large seafood and meat menu, not many vegetarian options but good gluten free one. Very friendly servers and great quality food. Will definitely return soon.
A bit pricey for the portion sizes. Not bad but not great.
A warm welcome, "ready" but paced service. Had not seen the tasting menu before. Gluten free available ( I have celiac disease)all food I was looking to order.
I chose the tasting menu and had a wonderful dinner.
Great food! I have visited the restaurant several times since it opened.
If you are looking for a very nice dining experience with an Italian cuisine, this is a must try place. We had a great time with our friends dining at Amore on a Friday night. Food was outstanding: authentic house-made and delicious Italian food. Head chef was Pasquale. We had "Bruschetta con ricotta e melanzana", "mushroom soup", "Tasting menu", "Mushroom Pizza", and a vegetarian pasta. We normally are picky about food and service, and both food and service were all excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Ambiance was very nice. Natalie was our server. She was very friendly and provided us with great service. Our host was Raphael Zoe. He was very friendly and helped us by accommodating our needs.
I want to thank all the crew mentioned earlier and managers Nate and Yvonne for making Amore a nice restaurant to dine-in.
We had another wonderful dinner at Amore tonight. The food (salads, pasta and pizza) was excellent and the staff is very gracious about customizing requests for changes from the menu. Rochester provides many opportunities for good pizza and Amore's pizzas are among the very best: great crust, excellent sauce and cheeses, and delicious toppings. For diners who like to try different wines that might be above their usual price points, Thursday's feature of "Half price bottles" provides a great opportunity. The service is consistently professional, prompt and courteous, but not intrusive. It is a pleasure to watch the kitchen staff at work. We eat at Amore regularly; management and staff seem genuinely committed to providing a good dining experience, and tonight was no exception.
Very professional treatment from the staff from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Consistent with Wegmans reputation for quality.
Great meal with family! Everyone enjoyed their meal and there was something on the menu for everyone; from the youngest child of 4 to the adults. We are never disappointed when we eat at Amore!
Love Amore! The food is fab! Close to home and out of this world!
Thursday at Amore is 1/2 price wine night; a real opportunity to try new wines from their excellent wine list! We enjoyed a delicious Brunello with our dinner tonight.
Our server, Conor, was fantastic! Very attentive and engaging. Great food and atmosphere.
Amore's menu offers something for everyone, from everyday diners looking for a simple, delicious Italian meal to foodies looking for sophisticated Italian fare. Chef Pasquale and his staff do it all and the open kitchen provides diners with a view of them at work. On one of the coldest night of this new year, the specials included beef stew and tomato risotto, and it was fantastic! Their salads are always delicious and the bread basket offers a choice of fresh breads that compliment the menu.
Justin was our server and he is simply excellent: attentive but never intrusive, and he provides, if requested, great advice on the menu and wine list. The wine list features some terrific Italian wines and Amore is also gracious about guests bringing their own wines. Management, led by Yvonne, are responsive, flexible, and very helpful. The food and the service make for a great eating experience, and that's just what we had tonight.
Great New Year's Eve destination! The food was delicious and the menu catered to a variety of palates. The service was great and the environment is warm and cozy. There are several different seating options for large groups and space in the bar area for a Happy Hour. Happy Hour prices are great! Gluten Free options available. We noted that it is a great spot for conversations and being able to talk with your party without shouting! It feels a little pricey for a "Wegmans" restaurant but the food is definitely worth it. Not your market cafe menu. Lunch specials are very affordable! We will definitely return!
Awesome food and service. Very good value. The lobster and shrimp risotto was superb and was served piping hot. Waitress courteous and attentive.
We made a reservation for NYE dinner here based on an e-mail about the special NYE menu. We thought we would get a nice table but instead we were seated in the middle of the dining area and the wait staff were constantly hustling about other tables around our table, I found this to be quite annoying. If I had just walked in without a reservation I would have been ok with the table. But considering that I had a reservation I expected to get a table that would have been less busy, like at a wall or a partial booth setting one where we did feel like everyone was looking down over us when ever they got up and the staff were not constantly bumping into us. Very disappointed with our reservation and I will reconsider making a reservation in the future based on where we were seated. As for the food, we ordered a soup on the special menu, the asparagus bisque with crab, it was quite good. I ordered the spaghetti and meatball with Italian sausage. It had great flavor but the spaghetti noodles were under cooked in my opinion. My companion had the gnocchi it was good but not as flavorful as the spaghetti. There are other Italian restaurants with better flavor, so for future reference I'd go elsewhere. Just my opinion!
Great Italian food by Wegmans. Absolutely loved the pizzas and the pastas. Another great creation from the folks at Wegmans.
Amore is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive and know our preferences. The food is always delicious and fresh.
Awesome meal! Authentic, incredible service. Overall best value in Rochester!
The food was out of this world! I am gluten free and was blown away by the gf calamari and homemade pasta. Management was very accommodating and our waitress timed the dining experience perfectly. Will definitely be back soon!
You wouldn't know you were inside a supermarket, unless you need to use the restroom! The food is delicious, as you would expect at Wegmans. The most tender fried calamari. And wonderful thin crust pizzas.
We went on a Friday night and ordered the tasting menu. Every course was delicious! We had salad, a pasta course, the main entree (choice of cod or chicken) and dessert. At $32 per person, it was a great deal! The only thing I dislike about Amore is the noise level. It gets pretty loud. When we arrived at 6:15, it wasn't bad, but by 7:30, it was loud.
I would still go back, just know that it will be noisier as the evening goes on.
This was dinner after a trying day. I wanted comfort food, i.e., pasta, and my husband opted for the salmon. We had a delicious bottle of Italian red wine from Sardinia. Amore's wine list, in keeping with the menu, features Italian wines, not limited to the typical offerings at local restaurants. They are reasonably priced, served at appropriate temperatures, in good glassware. The service is good, cordial and prompt but not hurried. The food is quite simply delicious.
I will definitely return with friends and family. The restaurant is welcoming ; the food is delicious; the chef is very creative and the dining experience makes guests feel at home. I especially wish to compliment the wait staff. They are attentive without being intrusive and attend to every detail.
The food was just "okay", nothing to write home about. The pasta was too al dente. The table we sat at was by the kitchen area and the light was shining off the top of the silver covers for the food prep area right into our eyes. The waiter was nowhere to be found after the food was served and my husband likes to twirl his spaghetti, so I had to get up and go up to the kitchen area to ask for a spoon.
Always good service, very often they have creative specials. Always willing to allow sharing of dishes and generally good with requests for specific item substitutions ( i.e. allergy or dietary issues) .
We were greeted by Justin at the bar who recommended two delicious red wines to us. We were sat on the pergola which, despite being in a grocery store, was very inviting and charming. Hillary was our server, who was attentive, informative, and simply delightful! We will be back again and will continue to request Hillary.
