Jackie was the best!!!
We have been there many times, but this time the food was not up to
the Amore standards. The pasta was way overcooked, and left too long
to serve, as the sauce was luke warm. Took 2 and one half hours for dinner.
Not what we expected this time.
Both meals and dessert were very good. The first table for two we were placed out was very tight and sandwiched between two others on the balcony but we asked to move to a more open area and it was fine.
This was our first time visiting restaurant and my son was treating me for my birthday. Staff friendly and we were seated right away. Restaurant was loud. Service was poor. Waitress never asked us if we wanted drinks and we had to stop her as she was going by. After we ordered waited over half an hour for food. During that time waitress never came to table. Meals did not come out together and I had to wait another’s 5 minutes for my meal. Issue with getting red pepper - took forever and by the time it finally came I was done eating. Waited more than 10 minutes for waitress to take check. The food was very good but Overall not a great experience.
Always an amazing experience. Top notch food presentation and service. We will continue to make this our go to Italian restaurant in Rochester!
Wegman's always delivers - high quality food, service, value!
Clean & Nice place to dine, affordable meals
Everything was Perfect! The food was delicious as usual.
Very good food and attentive but not intrusive service. The tasting menu was delicious. Timing between courses was near perfect. Will definitely add Amore to our Friday dinner rotation.
yep its good the pizza with the truffle oil that is
the dinner and service were great. The wait/kitchen staff was awesome. Due to our wait time they brought out an amazing dessert tray.
The service and atmosphere were outstanding. My friend and I each had a large salad. I added shrimp to mine and she added chicken to hers. She loved the flavor of the chicken and I loved my salad with shrimp. We both agreed that the portion of my large arugula salad with shrimp was very skimpy. We would return and try another entree.
Very good dinners as well as very good service. Don't look to bring dinner home because the portions are small compared to a lot of places but it was very good.
We had the calamari and the arugula salad as appetizers which were both delicious! For entrees we shared the lobster and shrimp risotto and the ribeye, both dishes were exceptional! The wine selection is good but a little over priced in my opinion; $10 for a glass of Josh Pinot that cost $10.99/ bottle at a store is a little too much of a mark-up. Server was prompt & friendly.
Service was terrible. Never shared specials. Entire meal felt rushed. Took forever to deliver wine when no one was in the restaurant. Will definitely sit at bar next time.
Very impressive all around! Excellently prepared hand made pasta, great, well chosen wine list and superb value on both menu and wine list. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and the ambience was fun, relaxed and authentic. I wish Wegmans would open a few locations where I live. Amore gives me another good reason to visit Rochester!
Another incredible experience at Amore tonight. Chef Pasquale Sorrentino and the staff continue to provide a professional and comfortable atmosphere. Natalie was our server and was very patient and sweet with the three young children at our table. The food is outstanding, and the menu continues to offer many options for all dietary restrictions. If you are looking for the best Italian food (especially pizza!) in Rochester, Amore outshines it's competitors!
The staff is always attentive to all our needs and requests. They are always so friendly and gracious. The food is delicious and always satisfying. It’s still remains our favorite restaurant.
Always love the food here and so convenient to home!
Always a wonderful experience
The all-around features of Amore, great food, creative menu, a great wine list, and always superb service, make this a frequent "go to" if for no other reason than, "why not!"
We had another wonderful dinner at Amore this evening. With the huge snow storm headed our way, it was a perfect night for pasta and meatballs, starting with a great greens salad with a fresh and balanced vinaigrette. Thursdays are half-priced wine nights and we enjoyed a great Sangiovese recommended by our server Justin. Justine exemplifies the service at Amore: knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive, but never intrusive. The staff is terrific and their manager Yvonne makes it all work together seamlessly. A wonderful dinner at a reasonable price; if the next few days' weather turns out to be as bad as threatened, and we're stuck at home with soup, crackers and peanut butter, we can comfort ourselves remembering this evening's dinner - the food, the wine, the service - at Amore!
It was not the first time I had dinner at Amore and I was always satisfied. Even if the restaurant des not have a big menu, what is offered is really of good quality. And the wine list is good too. Among dishes I strongly recommend the "cavatelli con salsiccia e tartufo" and the excellent "Zuppa di pesce alla napoletana", the "Pizza Amore" as well as the "Schiacciata al Rosmarino", the salad with "rucola e parmigiano" . Among the desserts the "Olive oil cake" is very special and the "Affogato" is probably the best I tasted in Rochester.
Very nice dinner, great food, little noisy but great experience.
The only thing I wish was different was the price. I love the food, drinks, and service. The restaurant is gorgeous too! I just wish I got more food for $18 a plate minimum. Definitely will return, but only for special occasions.
Our waiter made a mistake entering my meal, so mine was very late. Steak was a little on the fatty side. Ended up getting my meal complimentary from the manager, so the situation was handled well. Just don't think I'll be coming back that very soon.
The place was really nice and the service was amazing, we both got pizzas and they weren't bad but not as great as expected either.
Another excellent supper (pizzas and salads) at Amore. We dined early so we could come home to watch the Olympics and we sat in the pergola area on the first floor (which is one of two beautiful areas Amore makes available for private events.) Amore's wine list features Italian wines and we enjoyed a delicious Bardolino with our dinner; we had never had this wine before and Amore's list allows trying a variety of wines at very reasonable prices. We had a new server this evening who, consistent with every dining experience we've had at Amore, was welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and gracious. It was a lovely and affordable mid-week dinner out and we were home in plenty of time for the Olympics!
The food is always very good, I suggest bringing a book if you come alone. The bathrooms were out of order and we had to hike half way across Wegmans to use the restrooms there. I notice that servers show some partiality to other tables in a conversation and keep their secondary table at bay until they are done with the conversation. The manager is very sweet but did not offer us a glass of wine when the chefs mixed up my wife's order causing a 45 minute delay in receiving our food.
Atmosphere is cozy, Tuscan warmth with open kitchen. Lots of yummy options on the menu - we chose the Arancini balls to start then arugala salad and ribeye for an entree. Very happy with all three choices. Service was spot on. Good wine list options. Definitely going back!
Fantastic meal! The tasting menu is an incredible value.
First time at Amore, large seafood and meat menu, not many vegetarian options but good gluten free one. Very friendly servers and great quality food. Will definitely return soon.
A bit pricey for the portion sizes. Not bad but not great.
A warm welcome, "ready" but paced service. Had not seen the tasting menu before. Gluten free available ( I have celiac disease)all food I was looking to order.
I chose the tasting menu and had a wonderful dinner.
Great food! I have visited the restaurant several times since it opened.
If you are looking for a very nice dining experience with an Italian cuisine, this is a must try place. We had a great time with our friends dining at Amore on a Friday night. Food was outstanding: authentic house-made and delicious Italian food. Head chef was Pasquale. We had "Bruschetta con ricotta e melanzana", "mushroom soup", "Tasting menu", "Mushroom Pizza", and a vegetarian pasta. We normally are picky about food and service, and both food and service were all excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Ambiance was very nice. Natalie was our server. She was very friendly and provided us with great service. Our host was Raphael Zoe. He was very friendly and helped us by accommodating our needs.
I want to thank all the crew mentioned earlier and managers Nate and Yvonne for making Amore a nice restaurant to dine-in.
We had another wonderful dinner at Amore tonight. The food (salads, pasta and pizza) was excellent and the staff is very gracious about customizing requests for changes from the menu. Rochester provides many opportunities for good pizza and Amore's pizzas are among the very best: great crust, excellent sauce and cheeses, and delicious toppings. For diners who like to try different wines that might be above their usual price points, Thursday's feature of "Half price bottles" provides a great opportunity. The service is consistently professional, prompt and courteous, but not intrusive. It is a pleasure to watch the kitchen staff at work. We eat at Amore regularly; management and staff seem genuinely committed to providing a good dining experience, and tonight was no exception.
Very professional treatment from the staff from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Consistent with Wegmans reputation for quality.
Great meal with family! Everyone enjoyed their meal and there was something on the menu for everyone; from the youngest child of 4 to the adults. We are never disappointed when we eat at Amore!
Love Amore! The food is fab! Close to home and out of this world!
