Celebrate end of radiation treatments
Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, and was super helpful in navigating the gluten free menu. I have several food allergies in addition to gluten, so she checked with the kitchen see if they could make some accommodations. The kitchen did a phenomenal job managing my dietary restrictions. I don't eat out much because of the allergies, but our server and the restaurant manager went above and beyond to make sure I could enjoy a delicious meal. Thank you for taking the time to accommodate a difficult diet on a busy sat night!
This was our 1st time visiting this establishment and it was a great experience. The waitress put to memory our detailed order and she got everything correct. There was a family of six seated right next to us and once again the waitress took every ones order to memory and got it all correct. Overall, attention to detail and very personable staff members made it a special night.
The best Italian in Rochester! House made pastas (and gluten friendly is an option too!). The best octopus anywhere and the pizzas are something special. The service is on point as well.
While I enjoyed my meal , the lobster and pasta, my husband not so much. His potatoes were like warm and steak was mediocre. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was extremely friendly. I had wished my husband enjoyed his meal as much as I did.
Restrooms were a little far away , we were sat upstairs. The private room was setting up for a 50 th anniversary so I imagine that it would be too far for some older guest , but the room looked beautiful to hold a gathering.
Dessert was also lovely , we had the gelato special.
Zuppa de pesce is outstanding and a great value. Beet salad and the various gelatos are also favorites.
My wife and I tried the tasting menu. We are still talking about how delicious the food was. The salad, pasta, salmon, and dessert were all outstanding. We can't wait to go back.
The food is so fresh and delicious! Everything is cooked to perfection!
Good food, great service. We had a party of five, with a reservation, and they accommodated us immediately. The food was good. Not great, but good. Very salty, some of the pasta was overcooked, and the gnocchi was mushy. The pizza was the best dish, and all of us ended up having a bite of one person's pizza because it was so good. If all of us would have had the pizza, it would have been a definite 5-star review. The flavors for all the food were really good, though. As others have said, it's good for kids, or to take a date, but when we went it was very noisy. We got sat by the kitchen, so there was lots of traffic and noise. It's a bit on the pricey side, but not too bad. The ambiance is a bit strange, though. It's furnished like a German restaurant, but yet is serves trendy Italian. Kind of dodgy, but not bad. Our server was great, even with my picky father-in-law. The affogato is to die for. Overall, I would definitely go back.
Would definitely go back. Nice place. The strip steak had nice flavor, but was really tough. Won’t order that again. The pasta and the seafood dishes were great. Appetizers were excellent.
One meal. The octopus was very good. The pizza not good, I asked for "crispy" and it was dry and burnt. I've had this several times before to my great satisfaction. Not this time. No care was take with it it would seem. My wife's "veal cutlet" was actually a veal cowboy steak with a bone in it. A "cutlet" does not have this. It was served on a salad with no potato or veg. The fourth meal papperadill (sp?) was over done. We were not pleased. We should have returned the meals but we did not wish to spoil the occasion for our hosts.
We enjoyed the burata appetizer and the arancini. We also enjoyed the Cesar salad and the sausage pizza. The chocolate budino desert was delicious.
Our server was excellent. He offered to let us try a few of the wines before ordering them. This was much appreciated!
The ambiance in the pergola was very pleasant and quiet enough to converse easily.
We will definitely be back. Our only regret other than the horrible parking lot on a Friday night was that we had not tried Amore sooner.
I had a great birthday dinner with my wife at Amore, our favorite Italian restaurant in Rochester. We started with a celebratory glass of Rosé de Salici, a lovely sparkling wine like Prosecco from Veneto. For starters, I had the Barbabietola Salad, a beet salad with baby kale, frisée, escarole, goat cheese, and pistachio vinaigrette, and my wife had the Romana Salad, with baby romaine, croutons, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Caesar dressing. Both salads were fresh and delicious. Justin was an excellent server and made sure that we always had bread, ice water, clean silverware, and our wine glasses were topped off. My entree was the Pappardelle al Ragu Misto, a pasta dish with braised beef, pork and lamb in a red wine and tomato sauce, one of my favorite dishes, especially on a cold winter night, and it was scrumptious as usual. My wife tried the Gnocchi, which she ordered with red sauce, and liked it very much. For dessert, we indulged in a small Wegmans Ultimate Chocolate Cake -- yummy! The manager, Yvonne, checked on us to make sure everything was perfect and wished me a Happy Birthday. It was a terrific birthday dinner and we will definitely be back to Amore again!
What a wonderful evening!! I brought my boyfriend there for the first time and we had a such a great experience! We shared a bottle of Amarone, enjoyed some appetizers and shared our two entrees.(Salmon & Gnocchi) Our server Steven shared his knowledge of the decor and the inspiration behind Amore. The food was delicious as always and my boyfriend who has pretty high standards of cuisine was impressed!! Needless to say, we will be back!! Thank you Amore!!
Food was great, you wouldn’t know you were in a Wegmans. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and attentive, but unfortunately our server was not. He did not tell us about any of the specials or that they had a wine tasting to go with the meals - even after learning it was our first time. Overall would go back.
The Arancini appetizer was fantastic with the garlic parmesan truffle sauce. My wife and I always share plates and Amore nailed it with the presentation even with sharing. We also had a bottle of the Chardonnay from Cali, it was very smooth with a delicate fruit flavor. Two 👍👍
Great food means nothing when the front of the house can’t deliver. Horrific waiter, no specials given, cold food, dirty silverware wasn’t exchanged but left on table. Spent time talking to friends. I could go on but pointless. Should have listened to other dinners with similar experience. Real shame, Chef P deserves better. Will never go back and that’s too bad
I love this place!! The food, service and selection is continuously exceptional.
Excellent food and service for our family . Would highly recommend.
As usual our food was excellent; our server was not great though and that affected the overall meal. He completely forgot our drink orders multiple times. It was actually quite annoying. Not sure what was going on, as he got our food perfect, but we had to repeatedly request refills for drinks. But food was wonderful and we'll chalk up that night to a server who wasn't having a great day.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
Forget about the image that you are eating at a Wegmans Grocery store! This place is fantastic. The food and the atmosphere were wonderful and the service most attentive. Authentic Italian and a very interesting menu.
We had a great dinner at Amore with our daughter and her three young children visiting from New York City. The fish fry was delicious and the pizzas were a big hit too. The kids enjoyed the games on the childrens’ menu and their macaroni and cheese dinners. Hillary was a terrific server and both the adults and the children had a nice time. We enjoyed a bottle of sparkling Rosé with our dinner from Amore’s extensive wine list too. Amore is our favorite restaurant in Rochester.
Great food and service. Loved the homemade pasta.
Great waitress and great ambience.
Great! Half off Thursday night wine prices make it super good! Thank you, Amore!
We have introduced so many friends and family to Amore because it is by far our favorite restaurant and every single person has become a fast fan also. The food is delicious, the ambiance is comfortable and cozy, and the staff and service are outstanding.
Excellent food and service!!
We went here for my birthday and we were blown away. From the atmosphere to the food to the attention we received from the staff, everything definitely exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I both work for wegmans in syracuse and we will definitely be returning to Amore!!
all was good including our waitress but the kitchen took way too long to get food out (45 minutes)
Party going on upstairs could not hear the people across my table, loud and obnoxious people. When I made my reservations I asked for a quiet table . We probably won’t ever go back
outstanding meal. Great pizza, seafood and pastas all on point. Nice wine list. Chef always does a stellar job. Will be back
We had the wine and food pairing at wine bar. It was amazing.
We had birthday lunch here and it was terrific. Lunches were delicious, service was attentive, and we could leisurely dine. They even added a birthday candle on dessert!
was very happy with the service and quality of the homemade pasta options will be back!
There is a lot of competition in this segment and Amore excels. When I want excellent service, delicious pizza, and a fantastic happy hour, Amore fits the bill.
Good food for a reasonable price. Service was excellent.
Amore is a quiet gem. Great food and service. The chef is excellent and very creative. Our waitress, Hillary, was extremely knowledgeable with food and wine choices based in individual likes.
Prices were very reasonable.
