Wonderful food and atmosphere. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
Forget about the image that you are eating at a Wegmans Grocery store! This place is fantastic. The food and the atmosphere were wonderful and the service most attentive. Authentic Italian and a very interesting menu.
We had a great dinner at Amore with our daughter and her three young children visiting from New York City. The fish fry was delicious and the pizzas were a big hit too. The kids enjoyed the games on the childrens’ menu and their macaroni and cheese dinners. Hillary was a terrific server and both the adults and the children had a nice time. We enjoyed a bottle of sparkling Rosé with our dinner from Amore’s extensive wine list too. Amore is our favorite restaurant in Rochester.
Great food and service. Loved the homemade pasta.
Great waitress and great ambience.
Great! Half off Thursday night wine prices make it super good! Thank you, Amore!
We have introduced so many friends and family to Amore because it is by far our favorite restaurant and every single person has become a fast fan also. The food is delicious, the ambiance is comfortable and cozy, and the staff and service are outstanding.
Excellent food and service!!
We went here for my birthday and we were blown away. From the atmosphere to the food to the attention we received from the staff, everything definitely exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I both work for wegmans in syracuse and we will definitely be returning to Amore!!
all was good including our waitress but the kitchen took way too long to get food out (45 minutes)
Party going on upstairs could not hear the people across my table, loud and obnoxious people. When I made my reservations I asked for a quiet table . We probably won’t ever go back
outstanding meal. Great pizza, seafood and pastas all on point. Nice wine list. Chef always does a stellar job. Will be back
We had the wine and food pairing at wine bar. It was amazing.
We had birthday lunch here and it was terrific. Lunches were delicious, service was attentive, and we could leisurely dine. They even added a birthday candle on dessert!
was very happy with the service and quality of the homemade pasta options will be back!
There is a lot of competition in this segment and Amore excels. When I want excellent service, delicious pizza, and a fantastic happy hour, Amore fits the bill.
Good food for a reasonable price. Service was excellent.
Amore is a quiet gem. Great food and service. The chef is excellent and very creative. Our waitress, Hillary, was extremely knowledgeable with food and wine choices based in individual likes.
Prices were very reasonable.
My wife and I took my daughter and her boyfriend to Amore on a Friday evening. It was their first time there. They were very pleasantly surprised at what a nice restaurant was “hiding” in the East Ave Wegmans.
We really enjoyed the arancini, the bruschetta, the ragu, and the Amore pizza. The chocolate budino dessert is a must have.
Amore has a great wine list. Really appreciated how many good wines were available by the glass. They also have a small but excellent list of craft cocktails.
We will definitely be going back to try other entrees and pizzas.
We had a great Thursday night dinner at Amore with Steven as our server. We were seated promptly and served with ice water and two kinds of bread with a yummy tomato spread while we perused the menu. DHC chose the Misticanza salad and Margherita pizza and was very pleased with both. REC had the Romana salad and Gnocchi with Bolognese sauce, which was delicious. Steven introduced us to a new red wine on the wine list, Marisa Cuomo “Furore” - a delightful blend of Piedirosso and Aglianico from the Amalfi Coast in Campania - bright red fruit, good acidity and smooth tannins. Thanks, Steven! We love dining at Amore and we will definitely go again!
So sad that this restaurant has taken such a downturn. Terrible, rude server and missing order with no recognition by management of what they clearly realized was a disaster. Won’t go back.
We've been to Amore many times without any issues and have had good food and service. This was not to be however on this visit. I made reservations via OpenTable and specifically asked to be seated as FAR away from the kitchen area as possible. When the hostess seated us at the CLOSEST table to the kitchen area, I complained but she said there were no other tables available. I counted 6 tables on the other side of the restaurant that were empty, and all she said was "Sorry." Our waiter, who was new, either didn't know what he was doing or was in over his head. E.g., we reminded him twice for bread; I had steak and he didn't bring me a steak knife until I reminded him that I needed one, etc.
Had this been our first visit, I'm not sure we'd go back. But we've been there many, many times and this is the first "abnormal" experience that we've had.
We are regular diners at Amore and find it has been wonderful for both every day and special event dining for the two of us as well as for dining with friends, family, and business companions. The menu offers something for everyone, with an Italian inspiration; the wine list also showcases (but not exclusively) a wonderful variety of Italian wines, and the price point is very reasonable. The recent addition of a full bar makes Amore more attractive to those for whom dining out is not complete without a cocktail (a few of our friends fall into this category!)
Against this background, no big surprise that Amore was our venue of choice for a recent family dinner to celebrate the visit of a family member from the UK. It was a wonderful, memorable success.
(Manager) Yvonne went above and beyond to ensure our dinner would be great. She found a quiet, lovely table for our group, and provided Justin as our server. He is so knowledgeable about the entire menu and the wines and spirits; he is efficient, hospitable, conveys the sense that whatever a guest has requested is both reasonable and do-able. And he is excellent with child diners. A rare combination!
The food, wine and beer and spirits were great. Each guest was very, very happy with their selections.
Our dinner at Amore was simply wonderful and truly memorable. We owe this to Yvonne, Justin, and the amazing kitchen staff. We could not have asked for more.

LOVED THE OCTOPUS. Waiter was attentive; will go back.
We always enjoy the food and service. Sense chief Pasquale took over I think the food is excellent. We are planning on having a party there.
So much improved since it's early days, and is now one of the best places in town in my opinion. Not a regular but the last 3 times I have been there since the new Chef came aboard have been outstanding. Typically not difficult to get a table which can be unusual for places of such high quality. I would be comfortable recommending Amore to anyone interested in quality dining and service, and will definitely be back myself. Cheers!
Always enjoy the food and service. Waiter and mgmt very accommodating.
Very interesting menu, cosy bar scene, wonderful staff
High quality food. The only thing they could improve on is homemade croutons in the ceasar salad.
I always love dining at Amore. Nearby, reliably delicious. The chef offers many gluten free options.
Everything was great until a little after 8:00 when the wait staff seemed to disappear.
As usual, the food was excellent and the service attentive. The only problem was that my wife’s ordered meal included potatoes and nine were served to her even though we questioned our waitress.
Always love the lunch special. Caesar salad, and I ask for anchovies to be added, is wonderful. Wine selection is great!
All food was excellent quality. We will definitely go back.
Food was very good. Service from kitchen was slow.
The food was amazing, very creative and unique. The atmosphere was bustling but you never would have known you were in a supermarket. Service was great, attentive but not overly so.
We eat at Amore regularly (ie, weekly) and love the food, the service and the wine list. We like that the kitchen is open but not obtrusive. The menu has gotten increasingly seasonal and that’s interesting and refreshing. The kitchen staff are committed to serving authentic Italian cuisine, at the same time accommodating customer requests with genuine courtesy and aplomb. The wine list (no surprise, it’s predominantly Italian) is both reasonable and food friendly. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful about the wine list, in a good way. Yvonne and Ali do a great understated and friendly job of managing things at Amore.
We often invite friends to join us at Amore and friends we have introduced to Amore specifically ask to dine there.
Though the eggplant appetizer was a bit small. Great service. We will be back.
We come here at least once a month. The food is always hot and good.
My experience at Amore was incredible! For dinner I ate the chicken. It was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and a juicy and flavorful meat due to being cooked in the 700’ pizza oven. This was a very special preparation and I’m very glad my server told me about it. The wine menu is laid out in a way making it easy to read and to find a great wine at a reasonable price. I’m excited to come back on Thursday for half price bottle night. I am also ready to try the pizzas which are on sale during happy hour every day from 4-7, what a steal!
