I chose this place for the live music and it did not disappoint. The music was great! The drinks and the food were reasonable priced and delicious.
This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere! The live music, mojitos and food are as good and better than what we experienced in Havana. Can't wait to get back there!
Food was on point as always. Haven’t been here for a couple of years, and it seems that the menu has changed a bit, adding some really interesting salads. Tried the watercress salad with avocado, red onions, goat cheese and a home made vinaigrette and it was delicious. The chicken breast in onions and peppers was spectacular, they got me when i tasted some cilantro in the mix, delicious. The band consisted of Danny Rojo and his team. I’ve been a huge fan of Danny’s for many years. He’s just an amazing musician. Needless to say, I’ll try to be back as much as possible.
The food was good, and very Cuban inspired but not truly Cuban home cooking. The vaca frita was under cooked, and the yuca fries were too tough (not cut correctly). Needless to say a few things were off. And it was far too over priced for the cuisine and location. That said - these were the best mojitos in Manhattan!
Had such an amazing experience! The service was beyond exceptional! The food was fantastic! And the live Salsa band set an awesome ambience! My family & I absolutely loved everything! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
If you enjoy wholesome Cuban, this is the place in NY to go to.
Appetizers, sangria and a live Latin band is my favorite way to spend a Saturday evening. Attentive service, friendly staff, romantic ambiance, flavorful food and beautiful music.
Service was friendly. Efficient. Helpful in selecting items
Food was excellent
We were celebrating our friends wedding anniversary. We had a really nice time, food was very good. Service was excellent and loved the band. Noise level is a tad high, but not a dealbreaker. Great ambiance, very tropical and homey.
Perfect restaurant for Valentine’s Day with dim lighting, live band, drinks and of course delicious food!
Food and service was excellent!
Feels like going to my Tia’s(Aunties) house.
Very attentive. Music was lovely and the food is delicious.
I have been to this place dozens of times, it’s one of my fav spots. I made a reservation a week in advance because it was my birthday night. I arrived on time and had to wait AN HOUR! They obviously do not know how to manage reservations and tables. I wasted so much time waiting around it effected the rest of my bday celebration. I will definitely think twice about coming back here.
The service was only out done by the food. Empanadas were outstanding and the pulled pork with black beans and rice were delicious and brought back many fond memories of time spent in Cuba. Don’t forget to try a mojito, lots of flavours to choose from. Will definitely be back my next trip to NYC.
First time brunch here but I love this place in general
Had the best time at the New Years party! The food is amazing, I loved everything I tried on the unlimited menu. There was a really good band and everyone was having a great time.
Our server and serving staff were very pleasant and accommodating, as we were celebrating good times with family from out of town and made the evening a special one. The live music helped me share the culture in an immersive experience. The food was just as I expected it
I am so glad that I found this neighbourhood gem! Will most definitely be coming back. The food, atmosphere, music and staff are all amazing.
My family went here for Thanksgiving dinner. They had a "traditional" turkey dinner with all the usual sides. Only my youngest daughter had that and loved the mashed potatoes (asked for an extra bowl). My wife, older daughter, and myself ordered off the regular Cuban menu and it did not disappoint! LARGE portions! We got two full meals out of the portions of one meal. I had a traditional pork dish, my wife a gigantic and delicious salad and maduras to die for. My daughter had a salmon dish that she loved. Don't skip the mojitos. They have several variations (I had peach, champagne and coconut and my wife stuck with Mango). All were delicious and didn't skimp on the alcohol. Highly recommended. It was quite loud with a live band when we first arrived at 8pm. Later when the band came back, they seemed to have brought the volume down a bit, so we could carry on a conversation. Very friendly and attentive staff. This is a true gem in our E. Harlem neighborhood.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Their NY health grade was Grade Pending. We should not have gone in, but we were meeting friends from Connecticut and didn’t know where else to go.
The food was mediocre at best and the live band was so loud that we could not talk even in an adjacent private room.
I really like this restaurant and come here from time to time. My only disappointment is that even though I had a reservation, they asked me to wait at the bar for half an hour before they had a table available. I was expecting them to make a table available for me before my arrival.
Great food, service is always inviting, like you're family. Our go to spot in the neighborhood!
Great food, service, and music. I highly recommend.
Went here with a group of casual friends. It was a great place to get to know each other. The atmosphere was lively but not too noisy (until the music started, which is terrific but very loud for the space.) The food was fun and very tasty. The hostess could have been more helpful leading us through the menu, but we liked what we ordered so all was well.
Good, great atmosphere. Payed attention to requests
The food, music, drinks, and staff were all phenomenal. I would definitely go back again.
Pork was dry. Paella was good. Music had technical difficulties. Overall, this place used to be good and seems to have dropped in quality over the years, which is disappointing.
Food was delicious, service was great! We had a wonderful time!
Tonight was our anniversary (too often spent at the Michelin/Eater noted darling of the moment, or the "old guard" classic). We decided on Amor Cubano on a whim amidst two very busy workweeks and perpetually packed social schedules. We are so very fortunate in our late planning and Latin-cravings! Service was perfect, food was authentic yet appropriately refined, ambience was lovely., and we were offered special touches for our occasion. We will return... soon!
The food was great and they were very attentive. Kept the mimosas coming.
The service was outstanding, the live music was genuine and the food was fantastic! Me and my friend had an amazing time at Amor Cubano. They really took good care of us and they where so sweet. We couldn't be more satisfied than we where. Thank you Amor Cubano for everything <3
Food was okay, not outstanding; despite a nearly empty restaurant for Sunday lunch, music was cranked up so that conversation was impeded. We asked for less volume, and got the overhead speakers turned down slightly, but it shouldn't have been necessary. Service was leisurely and a bit erratic despite plenty of employees, but we were not in a hurry. Some servers smiled, most didn't put themselves to the effort. My biggest peeve was that with a table for 8 our bill had a 20% service charge, which I was fine with, but the charge slip had the tip box highlighted so as to collect another service tip if you didn't notice the first one--cheap trick.
Awesome little place, great food and live music. I'll definitely be visiting again.
Our second time there in a month and it was just as good as the first time. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. We highly recommend it.
Table they have is sucked completely. Tight Corner 3 feet away from the band that was setting up. So much for the value of a reservation. I complained and they changed us after ten minutes. Food was the usual outstsnding.
Great food and service. Staff is very attentive.
We went there last Sunday evening for a quiet evening.
The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.
The live entertainment was awesome and the food was "oh so delicioso"!
We really enjoyed the "Amor Cubano" experience....
The food was excellent!!!!! The place is small but cozy, the ambiance was good. Met with a friend Saturday and Sunday for brunch and we had a great time catching up and eating good food!!!!
We took a good friend to celebrate her birthday and she positively loved...(and so did we!) Amor Cubano. Great atmosphere! Waiter service was impeccable and when the music started, our birthday friend couldn't sit still! The food was wonderful-try Tia Teresa's Tostones Rellenos and the guava mojitos amazing! You have to check this place out, it will be well worth your while!
I went to celebrate my first anniversary and we had an amazing time. Awesome experience.
