The food, service, music and ambiance were all great.
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, our experience was amazing. We actually went to celebrate our anniversary and were over an hour late to our reservation but the host welcomed us with open arms and told us “no problem, it is better late than never!” With a huge smile on her face to welcome us.
When we got there the band was killing it in full force playing their beautiful takes on salsa. For drinks we got a pitcher of champagne mojito, totally worth it because we were already feeling it after our first cup. For apps we got the fries calamari and the empanadas. Also delicious and hard to stop eating every last bite. For our entrees we went with the churrasco and the ropa vieja. The ropa vieja was AMAZING so juicy and very well seasoned. The churrasco on the other hand was very bland and not cooked well done like my boyfriend asked.
We also got dessert because why not! I went with the tentacion de chocolate which was heaven in my mouth. My boyfriend decided to get the tres leche, which unfortunately he didnt like so much. By the end of the night, we were so saucy over the mojitos and bloated from all the food. Glad we took an uber and decided to skip driving!
Overall, it was a great experience and a homey and friendly environment. Couples were even dancing all night, young and old. Would definitely return with friends!
The restaurant is still serving delicious food. The ambiance is inviting. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food was delicious (as always). The ropa vieja and vaca frita are still a fave!
Delicious Cuban food and fun vibe. The band was great!
Good food. Good sized portion. Not overly priced. Small atmosphere. Good, but not amazing. If you’re in the mood for Cuban go here, or are in the area. Not terrible sangria either, for a Cuban restaurant!
Beautiful place in Harlem. Food was delicious. Service was great. The live music blended so well with the food and the atmosphere. Definitely coming back!
They Did A GREAT Job! Delicious Food Y Drinks!!!
This was my second visit to this restaurant...again on Thanksgiving Day...and it was just as good as it was my first time three years ago. The food is AMAZING! The service is AMAZING! For desert, though not traditional Cuban, the chocolate volcano cake is to die for! Amor Cuban is easily the best Cuban food in Harlem.
It’s a family tradition to go to Amor Cubano for holidays and birthdays. We love the food, the staff, the neighborhood for people watching and the easy access. We’ll never stop going there❤️
Shrimp empanadas were a great start. The mojito is very good, mango was my favorite. The beans were very good although could have use a bit more salt in my opinion. Some said they were fine, some said a bit more garlic or salt would be good(difficult to please a cuban cooking family with outside cuban food). My family enjoyed the vaca frita and the palomilla. Maduros and tostones were excellent. The budín with guava was a hit. Service was very attentive and they even added a bit more rum to please my uncle who asked for it on his cuba libre. Will recommend this place to family and friends.
Overpriced, terrible food, mushy paela, noisy hard to keep a conversation...
My Mom Enjoyed her Birthday. Server Kathy is Great.
First off, the restaurant was not terribly clean. The bandstand which we were seated next to was filthy. The ham croquettes were mushy & tasteless, Arroya con Pollo had a few pieces of chicken cubes mixed in with a lot of rice, also tasteless. Vaca fritta was inedible, tough stringy pieces of meat, also tasteless. Ropa viejo was so so. The staff was very pleasant & attentive. Overall, very disappointing.
Delicious authentic cuisine. Well prepared and priced. Worth the trip uptown.
Great food, atmosphere, music, and great for kids. Excellent hospitality!
Amazing dinner, the live band was great, and the service was perfect!
Wonderful as usual. The band was amazing.
Very nice establishment with beautiful decor, great food and warm, personable service.
Nice atmosphere, live music is great. Food was very tasty and typical Cuban dishes on the menu., we had Churrasco and ropa vieja and I do recommend them! Will definitely come back!
Its was a great experience
Went on a Saturday night. Live music was amazing and the food and drinks were yummy.
The food and service were amazing. Very generous portions. The live entertainment was great. Definitely a place to go back to.
Awesome food and service!
Good food and very good service. It is a really fun place with live entertainment and a real Cuban flair. We enjoyed dining there very much.
I have dined here several times and never had a problem. But, They must have had a bad day. Food was cold. Desert was bland. Hopefully it was a one time thing.
Food was definitely not as it once was. Every dish was bland. Lacked anything remotely resembling Cuban. Disappointed. Service was lovely!
It was a great Mother’s Day celebration! I brought my wife, mother in law and my mom. They all loved it! The food and live music were a great compliment. The sangria was very tasty! All in all a great experience!
We absolutely love this restaurant! Everything is delicious, particularly the plantains (fried and as chips), the Amor Cubano salad, the ropa vieja, the vaca frita, and of course the flan! The atmosphere is amazing, and the staff is friendly! The music is incredible; a great concert in addition to dinner! One of our favorite restaurants in New York City!
The best Cuban food in NYC. Nice music and amazing stuff.
Authentic and awesome!
Great service and food! Ambiance was great with the live music!
Amor Cubano is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is very good and more authentic than most Cuban restaurants in NYC. The atmosphere is cozy and attractive. We LOVE the live music!!!
My husband and I has been going there for the past six years is where we met . The food , service and ambience always been great . Especially not far from home
Amor Cubano is literally like the food my Mother would during the holidays.... Amazing!!! Delicious, and great presentation!! Thank you Amor Cubano for what you do, and what you mean to your community...
Cheers 🥂 for a spectacular restaurant to enjoy “VIRGIN MOJITOS” while I’m on lent. Had a blast time with my friends. Love the Cuban band playing. Be back soon.
It was my second visit. First visit was such a good experience. Wonderful people, friendly. Prompt service. I was with family. This time, was totally the opposite. Went with a friend visiting from another country. Not much friendliness as before. My main complaint and disappointment was the waiting for the food. We were served more than one hour after our arrival.
This is my favorite spot to come to when my family is in town. We can enjoy the food, music and ambiance. So when your family is in town do visit Amor Cubano - you will not regret it.
They had a live band which was great! I loved the atmosphere! Good for casual dinner and drinks with the live band, but it’s kind of loud so i wouldn’t go on a date here when it’s there. The food was good but missing some key points on flavor. The service wasn’t that bad but the food came out rather slow. Overall, nice experience and i would go back again!
Food and service good. No soap in the bathroom
Such an incredible place with great food, drinks and ambience!
