Amis brings the quintessential Roman-style trattoria to Philadelphia's Center City neighborhood. Opened in 2010 by Vetri Family partners Jeff Benjamin and Chefs Marc Vetri, Brad Spence and Jeff Michaud, Amis has cemented its place as one of the city's premier dining destinations, garnering high praise from such publications as the Philadelphia Inquirer (three-out-of-four-bells) and Bon Appetit magazine ("Top 10 Places for Pasta in the U.S."), and from the crowds of regular guests who pack its dining room nightly for dinner and weekends for brunch. Lively, comfortable and convivial, dining at Amis is perfect for a variety of occasions, boasting a share-plates menu of house-made pasta, salumi, farm-fresh meats and peak seasonal vegetable dishes, perfect for sharing while celebrating with friends and family, or a meal out with someone special. Be sure to ask about our "Beast of Amis" menu too. These special dishes feature whole animals-birds, hogs, fish and even full sides of beef.

I go to Amis on a relatively regular basis and have yet to be disappointed. I look forward to working my way through the menu. Just outstanding every single time!

First time visit, went for restaurant week. The appetizers were incredible, the bruschetta, fried cauliflower and meatballs were all 5 stars. The server was extremely attentive and nice to interact with. The problem we felt was that pasta was very bland. I order cacio e Pepe and I was pretty disappointed and my boyfriend ordered pasta with ragu and both were nothing special. The dessert was equally as good as the appetizer. We shared a tiramisu and rice pudding. The ambience was very crowded and loud. We finally left after our meal just to be able to hear each other. Overall I would come back and order a table of appetizer and dessert but never coming back for the pasta.

Really nice place. We went there during restaurant week and had a really nice time. The bruschettas that comes for the table was wonderful and a great way to start. For appetizers, we had fried cauliflower and housemade mortadella. The caulifower was great but the mortadella could have used a bit of acid to cut through the richness. Our entrees were the cacio e pepe and the jalepeno and almond pesto. The pesto was spectacular but the cacio e pepe needed salt badly. Our desserts were tiramisu and the olive oil cake with quince and rosemary. Both desserts were very good. The atmosphere was a bit loud and a little cramped feeling but our server was very nice and attentive without hovering over us. We'll definitely be back.

Wonderful experience! The food was delicious and served in great timing. The waitress came to clear our table multiple times between each meal and catered to all of my groups’ needs. Will definitely be back!

Hipster, trendy Italian restaurant. Food is okay...definitely ordered the wrong thing, though. The bruschetta was delicious, but the pork chop parmigiana was meh. Would recommend one of their homemade pastas instead. Prices were fair, but ultimately this place wasn't that memorable.

Consistently excellent. Some of the best authentic rustic pastas in our City.
