Love this place! We visit frequently highly Recommend
Amis is one of my husband’s and I favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Food is wonderful, drinks are delicious, and atmosphere is perfect!
Went for Brunch, exceeded our expectations
All around awesome. Food was great. Ambiance was great. Food came quickly and service was great. Very impressed.
The food was fantastic!
We had Sal's meatballs (omg! Just like my grandmothers!) The caponata for appetizers. I had fettuccine with corn and peas sooo light! My sister had spicy bucatini. My husband the rib eye.
Pastas were fabulous and hubby's steak cooked perfectly!
My only issue is it is so loud in there you cannot have a conversation with your table. It's a shame because otherwise I would go all the time.
The vegetable selection is too limited and only comes fried. The food was heavy and the pasta cacio pepe chewy.
The octopus was very good but there again came with fried or heavily sautéed zucchini.
Excellent food selection. Good service they all work together.
The food was very good, and me and my friends had a good time. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had.
Service was excellent. Pork Parmesan was a little over cooked and dry. Overall the flavors were delicious.
Really enjoyed for restaurant week! Cocktails and food were amazing and great service!!
came here for restaurant week with a friend. the food was OUTSTANDING. one of the best Italian meals I've had outside of Italy. we each got a piece of the bruschetta. my friend got the crispy cauliflower, bucatini with jalapenos and almond pesto, and the tiramisu. I got the meatballs, cacio e pepe, and the olive oil cake. each course was better than the next, but the pasta was the absolute best! definitely worth the hour+ drive for me. would recommend a reservation!
Used to be one of my favorite spots. I raved about it. But since they had a lot of turnover in staff, the food doesn't have the same complexity and flavor profile that it used to. This post makes me really sad to write because I always felt that, location aside, the food here was excellent. I hope that the new staff find their way soon.
First time visit for restaurant week. It was delicious and service was amazing.
Was lovely our server was great
Tile fish was great - the restaurant week menu is excellent and in truth, one meal could easily feed two. Generous portions, well prepared and tasty
We visited during Restaurant week; I had dined there several times before and was impressed that the restaurant week dishes and portions were exactly as offered for full price at other times. The service was efficient but not intrusive; a bottle of complimentary sparkling water was refilled without asking as soon as noticed. The pacing of the courses (4) was just right. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed, food was Not good at all.wine was good but only Chianti was $16 a glass
We had an amazing experience and will return soon!
The Food, Staff and ambiance are totally amazing. Highly recommend!
Gina is our waitress. She treats us like family. We eat at Amis about once a month. The menu allow
for a lot of experimentation;which we like. The rice pudding is amazing, and a must have !Look forward to our next outing!
Authentic Italian. Pasta cooked perfectly which is very hard to find. Creative but old world. Food is reliably delish!
I met two girlfriends here for dinner about 6:30 on a Friday night. We had a reservation, our table was ready right away, and our server was awesome. He was friendly, really knew a ton about the food, made great wine recommendations to go with our meals. However my meal, which was ne of the specials that nice, was so salty as to be almost unedible. We also had the brussel sprouts which were super salty, and the appetizer was the meatballs which were tasty but again so salty. By about halfway through the meal I had that puckered mouth feeling you get when you eat too many salty potato chips and couldn't eat anything else. I wouldn't go back.
With all the places to get a great meal with a great atmosphere, I just can't see why I would go back.
We came here for Sunday brunch after the half marathon. Service was great, food was fantastic.
The food was outstanding! One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Will make a point to go back when in Philly!
The restaurant was quiet and very welcoming. Staff from hostess to our great server, Liz, and her help, Denny, was excellent. Every course from appetizer to primo to secondi to dessert were phenomenal. And the Italian wine, a Primitivo, was so good, we have to find it in a liquor store to enjoy it again. We will be back and bring some friends to enjoy the great food , service and atmosphere of one of Philly's great small restaurant. Thank you to all who made our night so great.
Wonderful experience and service was great. While food was delicious we did find most dishes too salty - esp the toast that came w the ricotta. Tasty but salty (and hard). Great spot though. Would return!
This was our second time at Amis and both experiences were fabulous. Great food and even better service!
Highly recommend. From the girls at the front desk to our server the experience was first class. Trendy spot will definitely be back. High end food.
I celebrated my birthday at Amis despite my husband's inability to join me at the last minute. The Servers and Owner were friendly and attentive above and beyond. This is a gem of a place for any occasion. Amis is my new favorite go to place. Thanks, Amis!
Creative Italian with smooth service and sleek contemporary digs at a fair price
The buccatini with pesto was flavorless and the duck special was super oily. There are much better Italian places to eat in Philly.
Great food, great staff, typically give you at lease one thing from menu on the hours to try.
The pastas were very salty other than that everything was great
Service was very good. Menu limited but good. Great atmosphere. Have been here several times
Everything was fabulous!
My wife and I went there after it was recommended by a friend. We enjoyed every aspect of the experience. We had a drink at the bar first and then were seated at our table. Both experiences were pleasant. We chose a nice bottle of Italian wine that was recommended by the waitress and we were very pleased. It was affordable and much better than any other domestic wines in that price range. The pasta was homemade and delicious. Great music played in the background as well! We will be back.
Good experience overall, but felt that the food itself was overrated. There was no wow factor.
My fiancé and I went with two of our closest friends and had an amazing time. The antipastas were delicious (bufala ricotta bruschetta & the meatballs). And the specials for the entree section were definitely unique (I had the baby scallops fettuccine with pesto). And to drink I had the “Alto” which was ginger liqueur, prosecco, and garnished with an orange peel and black cherry. Definitely will go back!
Delicious food and great service
