I know this was thisr last night. But sadly it was very disappointing in every way... Except the food was mostly great.
I'm sorry to hear Amis is closing. I have had many excellent meals here including some of my favorite pastas in Philadelphia. Thank you for all of the food and service!
The final night. Thank you for everything since 2010.
My final meal, on the final day of operations. It's been a great run for me... The food was a combination of Beast of Amis and menu items. Everything was delicious, the service was terrific. It was a bittersweet ending to a marvelous crew of people, that served up great memories and food.
Awesome as always so bummed it’s closing
We had a wonderful dinner and will miss Amis!
We had to go for the last night of service at Amis! We are very sad that this restaurant has now closed. The food and the staff were always top notch, and this became a go-to neighborhood spot for us.
Great restaurant, sorry to see it is closing.
This place was amazing. The food, wine and cocktails. The servers, the restaurant operations staff, the chefs. SO many good memories and meals at amis....
Fantastic food and service! Came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. She loved it. We'd come back here again!
loved the pasta
Amis is never a disappointment.
We went as a group for a night cap and deserts. We sat at the bar and had a lovely time chatting with the bartender and sharing deserts. She could tell there was a chef amongst us and made sure we enjoyed ourselves.
Great as always. So sad it’s closing at the end of the summer
Great food and service but tables too close together and too noisy. One must go on a Monday evening and early to be able to converse.
Excellent variety on the menu; food carefully & deliciously prepared. Good wine list🍷
Pasta was oversalted
First date was here years ago and loved going back to reminisce
I will never return to this restaurant despite good food and location. The sound level was literally deafening. I could not hear my dinner partner (nor he me). We spent the meal screaming at each other and my ears rang for much of the following day. There ought to be law against noise at decibel levels such as these.
It was not up to the standards set by the Vetri Organization. No serving pieces were provided with the platters and all food ordered, appetizers, pasta and entry, were delivered to the table at once. Definitely a different restaurant from the Vetri days. It was clearly a step down and is now nothing more than an average restaurant, not one that I would recommend or long to go to again.
So anxious to try this restaurant. Two foodies got together for a reunion celebration. We shared an appetizer and had to send it back. The grilled octopus was too chewy to eat and the potatoes were just about tasteless. Pasta entrees were very good, although the lamb ragu was on the greasy side. Enjoyed an outstanding martini and a glass of wine each.......but found the drink prices very expensive.
Sad to see them go.
Chicken thighs were undercooked and sent back. Came out undercooked a second time. Overall, a terrible dining experience.
A great venue, delicious food, and attentive service.
Very limited menu, overall unimpressive food. Only good item was the pistachio cake. Seems to have gone way downhill since last year. Ate outside because inside volume was DEAFENING
The food I had there was overpriced and awful. I ordered a crispy duck at medium rare. It came out raw and very salty. The sides were unbearably bitter. And, it costs 34 bucks!!
Wonderful, as always. So disappointed to hear you're closing later in the summer. We'll miss you!
Wonderful as always. So so sad it’s closing
Amis is great, but the noise level is too much. It's very hard to have a conversation.
We love Amis! Such a great neighborhood place for excellent food. Always a delicious meal and the service is top notch. We especially love sitting at the counter ; it's better for conversation, plus we have a great view of the kitchen. We are truly going to miss this place! Go now, while you can!
Excellent food! Tables close together so sat at bar. Which was very pleasant. Attentive and nice bartender. Would definitely go back.
Great drinks, the house punch is awesome. Pastas and dinners were light for the price. Portions were closer to tapas style. Service was great and quality of the meal was yummy. Desserts were good too, one of us really enjoyed the rice pudding! Ambiance was pleasant and comfortable.
Beyond disappointed Amis is closing. Been here a 100 times and they never disappoint. Good luck to all the staff and I hope to see everyone again before they shut their doors for good. Hands down my favorite restaurant in the city.
The crab lasagnette was very dry and almost burnt. The rest of the food was pretty standard - nothing remarkable. There are better Italian food options in Philadelphia
All of the food was delicious, wines were excellent and the servers were knowledgable without being intrusive. We ate outside since the weather was beautiful, but the inside space is nicely designed.
Average food. Too much a big deal made about the plancha. If the plancha is so wonderful then why did my tilefish come out with skin the consistency of rubber? The meatball and the cauliflower apps were excellent.
Will be sorry to see it close at the end if the summer!
Wait staff was accommodating and attentive to a single female diner -- not always the case in restaurants! -- and helpful in choosing the wine. Crab appetizer and sea bass entree were lovely, with the fish cooked just right. Dessert selection was a little more than I wanted -- wish they had had a sorbet, my only suggestion. But the most memorable part came as I was preparing to leave. I had been at a college reunion, and I realized one of the people seated at the next table was also in my class. When she recognized me, they invited me to join in, and the staff was thoroughly accommodating in my staying at my table through their dinner, even though I wasn't ordering more. A thoroughly positive experience!!
Server was knowledgeable however had to run back & forth inside and out. We had to wait for her attention. Food was ok, seemed over priced, venue is small, jam packed and loud. It was ok.
First time dining here. Very convenient to the Kimmel Center waitress suggested special which was soft shells. Excellent.
Ambiance very pleasant. Noise level is good, easy to carry on a conversation. Great music in background.
Good for aging boomers like us and for younger people.
We would definitely go back.
Love Amis, great pastas, innovative entrees, nice small plates options, excellent service.
