The ambiance and decor appears outdated but otherwise the food is good and attentive service.
Food was wonderful, service was great, and staff went out of there way to accommodate our party of five an hour plus earlier than our original reservation due to college graduation ending earlier than expected.
Excellent food, and the best waitress in town... her name is Dallas, and she’s attentive, respectful, sweet, and a gem! A very good value for the $
Neapolitan will blow you away. Chianti Italian red great value to split a bottle. Love this place!
Excellent service and food was delicious! Lunch menu might have been nice since we were there around 1:00. But overall terrific experience! Fried calamari/shrimp was a perfect appetizer.
Excellent as always. Noise level is annoying not energetic.
The food was great! They had big servings and everything tasted amazing (the bread knots are so tasty). Only thing that I would change is that the mozzarella stick appetizer only came with four pieces, but the other appetizers were big in size. It’s a great place for special occasions and would go back!
The staff, ambiance, and food were exceptional. It was my birthday dinner, we spent several hours, drinking, eating and visiting and felt comfortable and welcome
The food and the service were good. It would be a good restaurant for a date or a special occasion. We will likely return.
I accidentally picked a dish that turned out to have a lot of American influence when I was craving classic Italian, but I am looking forward to trying it again :)
Great neighborhood restaurant. The food is always good! Cozy bar, nice service. We go often & are never disappointed.
Outstanding. Went over and above to help us. Great selection and great tasting
On the food: I personally order the blackened chicken linguine Alfredo which was overall okay, but the chicken was so very dry, it was hard to swallow. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs to go for a friend, and we had never tried such powdery, almost spoiled tasting meatballs. Meatballs are one of the basics of Italian pasta. I do not understand how those were conducted so poorly.
On the service: The glasses left on the table upon arriving were clearly dirty. We were not offered bread rolls until we had been there for at least twenty minutes. Once the bread rolls came a second time, we were offered the smallest pieces imaginable. I'm guessing you can only include three of them in a basket? Come on, man. Also, do not spoon one spoon of parmesan cheese and then walk away.
On the prices: I once read a review that said you didn't lower prices in order to not compromise the quality of the food. After having the food, you can most definitely lower the prices.
Food was fabulous. I had the Veal Oscar - it was super. Good wines also.
We tried this place because it was rated so highly of Google, and now I have to add our race review as well. :-) Staff were very friendly, and other than having to track people down when we needed drink refills the service was excellent. Everything we tried was delicious. If you haven't given them a try, and you like Italian food, you should.
Very, very good Italian food. Blew my expectations out of the water. The shrimp and grits were awesome.
Food was awful. Shrimp was like rubber, pork chop was fatty and size of a kid meal. This is probably okay if you don't like good Italian food.
The people were wonderful. We we're running late and they went above and beyond to get us our dinners and get us back on schedule. The food was delicious.
We are definitely going back when we can take our time and enjoy the meal.
Shrimp Paradiso was excellent
Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Food is good, prices are okay. I'd recommend!
We waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our entrees for food that tasted like it came out of a microwave. Everything was over salted and about 3x what it should cost. Staff neglected to tell us that they were hosting a private party in the back that was hindering the service to the rest of the dining room. Awful. Will never go back.
Always a great choice for us in BCS.
We always enjoy a great meal at Amico Nave
Great food! Excellent time! Handled a busy night very well!
The service was excellent; the ambience was fine. The food was disappointing at best. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated. A chair was removed from our table to accommodate my walker. Our very personable waitress arrived promptly and got our order correct. Our wine was not good, but we did not taste it before accepting it (but how can you go wrong with a chianti in an Italian restaurant?), so that was on us. We brought most of it home to cook with. The soup was good and the oysters were fine. This ends the good review of the food.
We ordered the chicken alfredo. Our waitress (whose name I have forgotten (sorry) offered to split it into two plates since we were splitting one order. We very much appreciated that. We are seniors and just don't eat as much as we used to. The pasta was done correctly but the alfredo sauce was skimpy. The chicken was dry and seemed to have been cooked much earlier and just heated to put in the dish. It did not work out well. The garlic knots (bread) were gummy, not very hot, and dry at the same time. They were not the delicious fresh bread nibbles we have had in the past. We believe they were leftover from the previous day, or maybe just made earlier in the day and not held properly. We were very disappointed because that was one of the things we looked forward to that evening. Serving them with some butter or olive oil might have helped, but no such thing was forthcoming. We asked if we could get some garlic bread instead to go with our meal. Apparently no one had ever asked for that before. What we were brought was some very crisp pieces of what your bruschetta is made from--with no butter, olive oil, or anything to soften them with.
For dessert we asked our waitress for her suggestion. She recommendation was the tiramisu, which we had enjoyed all over Europe a few years ago. What she brought us was a sort of tiramisu-flavored pudding. It tasted okay but was not the dessert we wanted.
The food was phenomenal and would come again. The service could have been better; our server was fantastic - when he remembered to come to the table.
Easy to make reservations using Open Table. Staff and food are always great.
The salmon/spinach is to die for. Also the Shrimp Diablo. We love the back curved booths. The bar always looks busy and fun but we usually just dine. Our favorite restaurant.
Wonderful Experience...Everything from the service to the food were wonderful in our first time dining with Amico Nave. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable on selections of both food and cocktails. The restaurant has great ambiance and is not overly crowded. We will most certainly be dining with Amico Nave again in the near future. Thank you Amico Nave for a wonderful evening.
The ambiance is nice and the food is delicious. It was a little loud in there but I think it has to do with the acoustics in the building.
Amico Nave is a true local treasure. The food is always served hot and delicious. (We had the salmon and the veal - with tiramisu for dessert. ALL we perfectly prepared.) You will NOT be disappointed at Amico Nave.
The service was very good and the restaurant had a good ambiance for a business meeting over dinner. I wish the lights had been a bit brighter, but everything else was good.
Outstanding as usual. Bailey our server was fantastic and great meals were had.
Service was okay. Confused why they always seemed to be out of reservations because there were tons of seats/tables available when I went. Food was just okay: I had a decent vodka/Italian sausage pizza and a really nasty Caesar salad (that was just large chunks of romaine lettuce, uncut grape tomatoes, parm cheese with a homemade dressing. It was served on a thin sushi plate making it impossible/messy to eat since you had to cut up the romaine chunks). Might go back, but there are other good Italian restaurants like Luigi’s.
Friendly from the moment we walked in, very nice atmosphere, great staff & as always fantastic food.
Reliably very good restaurant.
We celebrated a friend's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent food and service. Very comfortable atmosphere.
Outstanding service. Pasta was very good. Salads are amazing.
It was great from start to finish
Relaxing atmosphere, super friendly and personable staff. Everything I've tasted has been great! Awesome signature cocktails
Our server was kinda slow and it was a little crowded. I was on a date and would have liked more privacy for conversation. I'm not sure if I'll return for a second visit.
