Amico Nave Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Service, length of time for food and food itself was not as good as usual this visit. The pesto dish had too much pesto and literally had about 1/2 an inch of oil at the bottom of the dish...way too much.
It took over an hour to get our food once the order was placed for 6 people. Other tables that ordered after us were getting their food. Slow on water refills and no comment from wait staff on what the delay was for the food.
We were seated right by the door. We had lousy service. Many employees walking around, but no one would make eye contact so that I could ask for more iced tea. The food was all good except for the bruschetta, which was dry, no oil and vinegar or any dressing at all. Overall, disappointing.
Great experience for birthday celebration. Food was delicious. The oysters went well with the spinach and goat cheese. Wish there had been 6 instead of 5. The veal Oscar is a must with a lushes artichoke cream sauce. Shrimp and grits was good. Veal Marsala had a nice sauce. Tougher than normal. Very personable manager and waiter. Will be coming back.
We had dinner here on our 50th anniversary! The food was delicious. The service was superb,
the staff gracious and helpful. We were not disappointed and would return again if ever in the area. A complimentary dessert of our choice was a dear touch too. Thank you.
Very much enjoyed the food; the veal was excellent and the sauces very good. The only drawback was that the building used to be something else and while adapted well still carried some of the seasoning from whatever it used to be. Service was good, and the prices were equitable...moderate for the food but a bit high for drinks.
Husbands birthday. It was our first visit to Amico Nave and it won't be the last. It was an exceptional experience. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was exceptional. Restaurant was quiet. You could actually carry on a conversation with the people at your table.
The food was outstanding, and the restaurant's atmosphere was appropriate.
Our server appeared distracted, and could use a little more training- she spilled water on the table and forgot to come back to clean it up. When she served the wine, she didn't let us sample it before she poured it, and poured a glass for my husband and I, despite the fact that my husband was still drinking his cocktail.
What appeared to be the owner's wife, was very loud in her conversations with specific tables, which was a little off putting.
We found this restaurant through Yelp and it had good reviews. We needed a place to host my grandson's high school graduation and we are from out of town. This is a true hidden gem and we would readily go back there anytime we are in the area. We had three appetizers and they were all excellent and good portions. I need some advice on the wine list and the owner came over and helped us (great bottle by the way). Everyone enjoyed their meal and were very positive about how great the food was.
We had another fulfilling trip to Amico Nave. Once again we were reminded that you get a lot of food for your money. We had two salads and two entrees, and both of us "had" to take food home. My lasagna was as good as I have ever had, and my wife loved her salmon. Unfortunately, there was no way we could try a dessert.
We will definitely be back.
When I go to a restaurant, I assume the food will be full of flavor and well made. I enjoy pasta quite a bit, but I'm also picky about my pasta when I'm paying $15+ for a bowl. At Amico Nave, I ordered the Bucatini but, unfortunately, not only did it give me a stomach ache, I also thought it tasted like cafeteria spaghetti. I was expecting a restaurant with a nearly 5 star rating to have quality pasta.
The staff was very accommodating as we had to change reservation time a couple of times the day we came. They also had to redo table arrangement to accommodate an elderly person in our group. food was very good, great variety and a good value. Highly recommend this restaurant.
