we arrived for an early dinner and were rudely rushed so that our table could be turned over. We would not return.
Okay.. where do I start.
The ( white-table-cloths) interior is very pleasant and not over doing it. They (Amici) accommodated me to a small party when I had a made reservations for a larger party, Thank you. I like the Seasonal Menu, Thank you. I like that every table ( I saw) and our table had space so other quest were not bumping into other tables, Thank you. My server; GREAT, THANKS YOU!
Second, Why do you (Amici) have a corner entrance with dining tables; there with guess? Let me be clear, you enter where guest are having their meal's. So clearly you have to stop eating and pay attention to who's coming in; your body and food get COLD faster with the double-door opening and closing every-time another guest is entering or leaving.
Next, as i'm listening to my friends my eyes are recognizing a guy walking around going to different tables, maybe they were his friends ... to be continue.(adding-on soon)
Overall, will I return? No.
There was nothing there that WOW me! beside the Seasonal Menu and the GREAT Service from the server, those are the only things (so-far) to make me return.
Amici's us a fun, friendly Italian restaurant which is favored by locals from Santa Monica and Brentwood. The food is delicious. The service can sometimes be a bit on the slow side but it is made up for by the great food and bustling ambiance,
This is a neighborhood staple love the food love the staff love the ambiance - you always have a great meal
We enjoyed our first trip to Amici. The staff was very friendly, the food was good, the wine was delicious, parking was easy, restaurant and restrooms were clean and well kept. There was a mixup with our appetizer but the staff quickly fixed the issue. We were surprised at the bright gas station lights that shinned in one window when the sun went down. But the beautiful trees the lined the street in the other direction were a pretty view.
AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD COOKED BY ITALIANS, bellissimo.
Attentive service, good wine selection-a can’t miss dinner
It was our first time at Amici and we were not disappointed. My husband had the sole and it was delicious. I tried the eggplant pasta and it was terrific. We went with friends and by the end of dinner the noise level had really risen. Even so, we will definitely be going back soon.
It was our first time here and it was great food and serviceZ we will definetely be back!
We took our boss to Amici's as it was her last week with the company. It was a group of 6 and we had a great time! Everyone commented that the food was fantastic! The service wonderful!
We go to Amici frequently both for lunch and dinner. The staff is professional (many of long standing), Tancredi, the owner/host, is attentive and gracious and the place has a very warm and inviting vibe.
4 for dinner at our favorite table...
We live close to Amici and go there several times a year. It is always a good experience. Thank you.
We love Amici Brentwood. . . . where do we go from here? Food, service, ambiance, is always delightful and especially unpretentious. Wine selections are reasonable and delicious and our server pours with the touch of tradition: small amounts that decant and make for a delicious start and accompaniment to the meal.
Never hurried, always authentic and plenty of room for special requests (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) for anyone with a special culinary concern.
Friends take friends and family to Amici Brentwood.
6 for dinner..wonderful welcome by Tancredi and his team. Seated at the table in the front window- just perfect for conversation. We all enjoyed the pizza Margherita to start- and most of us had the tasty grilled Dover sole and Branzino. Delicious cookies completed the meal. A lovely way to celebrate the Christmas holiday
Excellent authentic Italian food with great service!
Nice Italian neighborhood restaurant Loved the artichoke and palm heart salad.
Four of us enjoyed our dinner........Like their hummus and bruschetta that is served with their flat bread and sour dough as a starter. We had an artichoke salad (not as good as usual) and the other couple had the Caesar Salad. I had a chicken parmesan that was a bit on the dry side and did not have enough cheese or tomato sauce for my taste. The other three persons enjoyed their pastas (cacaio e pepe, spaghetti with vegetables in a marinara sauce and one other pasta....don't remember what it was). All three individuals said their selection was very good. We had a total of two glasses of wine. One nice treat is the cookies and delicious chocolate dipping topping that is served on a complimentary basis.....very nice. Service was excellent, ambiance is pleasant, noise level is moderate. All in all a good choice.
Neighborhood restaurant that we frequent but this meal was disappointing because the special grass fed Steak was chewy and we had to send back for something different.
The atmosphere is always a welcoming one. The food and the service are good and the noise level is good for having a conversation.
I think that the food has improved over the years and I would recommend it.
It’s a great spot!
Incredible food, especially the fall menu!
4 for dinner on a Sunday night...seated promptly after a warm greeting from Tancredi and " the gang"
3 of us chose the Fall menu- with figs and cheese, pumpkin ravioli ,grilled mushrooms on polenta and gelato and cookies for dessert. Our other chose linguini with langoustines - everything was tasty..
We only felt bad that we brought our own wines...next time we will order one from Tancredi's marvelous wine list.
We loved our meal and the service and staff were great! We love Amici!!!
We were only the second table to get filled at 5:45pm, and since they were so slow, I don't think they were in gear yet and nobody paid any attention to us. I had to flag down our waiter several times. But the gluten-free bread was heavenly, and almost made up for the not great service. The dover sole sounded good but arrived cold. Make sure to try the melon gelato, the real deal Italian gelato. The hot fudge sauce was incredible!
A great Brentwood restaurant. We go every week. Just like being with family. Superb staff and owners. But the desserts need chocolate and coffee ice cream or gelato!!! Please we love our deserts💝
Welcoming staff, professional service and delicious cuisine and cue priced as well. We were visitors, who evacuated Hurricane Irma in Florida and we felt very welcomed.
We enjoyed the complementary, delicious bruschetta appetizer. Our entrees were spaghetti vongole, perfectly al dente and veal scallopine also expertly prepared. We loved the homemade gelato with hot fudge sauce and the complementary cookies and chocolate sauce. The super Tuscan and the prosecco were very nice. We enjoyed it all.
Driven past Amici for years. Finally booked a table when my Mom was in town. Everything was done well, meaning, just enough of what you want, nothing you don't. Recommendations for wine and food were very good. There is a tv over the bar but, surprisingly, it did not distract from dining.
Could see small families, friends and couples all at tables enjoying themselves and chatting warmly with the proprietors. I will definitely be back.
Excellent Italian cuisine - very authentic. Cozy atmosphere and excellent service. Have been there many times and never disappointed.
Lovely experience.... as usual..... great service..... thanks Marco:)
and the food?...... delicious and with many healthy choices:)
Excellent food & service as always, authentic Italian cuisine
Really good Italian food, nice ambiance and EXCELLENT service
4 for dinner on a Sunday night...seated promptly, after a warm greeting from Tancredi.
3 of us opted for the Summer Tasting menu- which was delicious- we had scallops, squash blossoms, shrimp ravioli and salmon. Our 4 th had langoustine pasta followed by Dover sole.
We also enjoyed Marsala gelato , berry cheesecake and cookies with dark chocolate dipping sauce. A wonderful dinner...
Excellent food made to perfection fresh and nicely presented
Great wine lists
Hadn't been to Amici in a while, but wanted a nice, low-key spot for dinner with a friend. Food was always good, but now much better than I remembered. The menu is roughly as I remembered, but something good must have happened in the kitchen. Fresh ingredients, straightforward preparation, and friendly wait staff. Very enjoyable.
Little pricey for standard Italian fare. Wine list is worth a second look.
We are regulars and always have great service and food. Highly recommend for very good Italian. Branzino, fish soup, Petto di Pollo are favorites.
We love Amici and have been many times it just lacked something this time. It won't deter us but just wanted to let Amici know what was going on!
4 for dinner on a Saturday night. Seated promptly...after a warm greeting from Tancredi. Always nice to see him..it makes a difference! 3 of us had the summer prix fix menu- great spinach salad, ricotta stuffed squash blossoms and grilled wild salmon. Our 4 th, loved his grilled veal chop..A lovely evening..
Manager service was terrible. Usually we just vote with our pocketbook and I never give a negative review but I felt this manager deserved it.
Halibut was tasteless and seemed it was just taken from the freezer. Spaghetti and clams very good
