I've been wanting to eat at Amicci's for some time, though I don't live close enough to downtown Baltimore to be there regularly. In the interest of full disclosure, one of the owners is a HS classmate of mine, so there was added incentive beyond the well-deserved good reputation it already has--and it didn't disappoint.
Great food, a mix of choices, friendly staff, and the classic atmosphere Little Italy provides added up to a fantastic meal. I'll be back again soon, and won't be a stranger.
An outstanding meal with an outstanding server. Food was very, very, tasty. The only ding I could give was on the quality of the wines by the glass. Thumbs down. Choices were very limited and the chianti was unavailable. I tried the cab and merlot and wasn't a fan of either. I was alone with my daughter and didn't want to order a bottle so this was a bit of a downer.
Love this place! Food is fresh and tasty! Service is excellent (the chicken parmigiana is a must)
Great dining! Never disappointed with the service or food. I was there once with family and something tasted a little different....when I got I realized my Luigi dish didn’t have the sausage added and called back to inform them. They asked for my name and replaced my two entrees free of cost. The receptionist just asked me to call when I was on the way and my meals were ready when I arrived! Who does that? This is out favorite place in the city!
Server did the bare minimum all through the meal, and told me the bread pudding was good when I asked; it was not good.
Amicci’s is a great, no-frills, family-friendly restaurant repping Little Italy. Our recent experience was typical (in a good way). We expect good food, fresh pasta, and no judgement for bringing our kids.
Very good food and service. Staff was very accommodating when I called 30 minutes after our original reservation time and arrived 30 minutes after that; we were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival.
Great service; the food came out fast. We could hear one another even though the restaurant was pretty full.
Great restaurant in little Italy. Awesome atmosphere with big portions. We all loved the garlic bread with cheese and tried interesting pastas. Everyone was impressed including picky and more adventurous eaters.
Wanted to try a new place in the area . I would absolutely not recommend. Let’s start with the drinks . The “lemonade“ tasted so artificial . We then tried the fried calamari & it was like a rubber band . Lastly for the main course, the chicken parmigiana was the worst I’ve ever had . My husband ordered Joe’s gnocchi and barely touched it . When the waitress came by , she didn’t ask how everything was . Instead she asked if we wanted a box to go . Needless to say , we will never return . I’m stunned that this is said to be one of the best Italian restaurants in Baltimore
We were very disappointed in the service and food at Amicci's. We have dined here before and the service and food were always good. This time the service was poor and food was just OK. One of the members in our party was gluten free due to celiac disease. We asked for a gluten free menu and emphasized the gluten intolerance at least 2-3 times. His dish came out with regular pasta and the response was "the rest of the dish is gluten free". The rest of the dish was on top of the gluten free pasta. It was then replaced. We also asked for shredded Parmesan on our dishes which took a long time to get and when the server finally brought it over she served it without looking at what she was doing and shredded it all over the table and me. Probably will not return since there are many other choices in Little Italy.
I have been to Amicci's a few times and love the food and the prices are very reasonable. It is a cute place but highly recommend you sit in the front room or at the bar~ The back room is isolated and you lose the ambience. Service is good and our reservations were on time.
The calamari looked good at the next table so we ordered it. It was dry, overcooked and tough. The tortellini with peas and ham was wonderful. The food here seems pretty basic but a great value
The mussels with marinara were superb & we loved your house wine, we really enjoyed ourselves.
First timers who tried out at a friend's recommendation and we were quite pleased. Good food and service and cozy, comfortable setting. We hadn't eaten in Little Italy proper for some time and were happy we tried this place out. We would recommend and would return ourselves. Thanks!
The food was pretty good overall. The gnocchi was superb and so were the meatballs.... thought that ambience was lacking. Cheap black plastic table cloths and crappy table settings could easily be upgraded to something fun or nice.
We have been going here for years and love the food and ambiance. My favorites are jody's gnocchi and the Corleone. We like the dining room in the front by the windows.
Our experience was ok. The food was better than average. Our waitress was a bit scattered. The wine was not memorable. But the prices seem fair and it's a sort of funky Little Italy vibe.
Good salad, bread not served unless asked for - ice cold, large portions, gnocchi like bricks. Very good dessert
First timer........great food, atmosphere and value. I will be back!
