   Amerigos has always been one of our Woodlands favorites. Unfortunately this visit was just average. Our waiter Philip did a great job but I don’t think management planned well enough for their after Mother’s Day Brunch diners. With the many options now available in The Woodlands an average experience is very disappointing.

   Server did not bring us bread, seemed like he did not want to be there. The website said they would offer regular dinner menu although when we got there it was a limited menu. We ordered apps, carpaccio was unseasoned raw beef shards with weird little piles of onion and capers and to top it all off the sticker was still on the lemon ( talk about attention to detail). Caprese salad was tasteless, was wayy to thick slices of a mealy tomato and thick slices of a dry dense " fresh mozzarella". We were on the fence about ordering mains. We decided we would go ahead and ordered the trout even though we came for octopus and seabass (that happened to suddenly not be offered when we got there). We settled for trout only to be told they were out ( at 6pm). After the apps we had low hope for a quality meal and with our second choice also unavailable we decided to leave and not order mains. Poor experience all around. First and last visit for us.

   We were seated 25 minutes after our reservation due to very rude customers seated for 3 hours drinking alcohol occuping the table on Mother's Day while other diners wated for a table. Very, very inconsiderant.

   I was double billed for my Mother's Day meal at Amerigos. I went to the restaurant location at 10:30 AM on May 14, 2025. I talked to Daniel Zimmerman, the restaurant manager. I showed him the duplicate charges from his restaurant, Amerigos. His response was: "I can just about guarantee that I only charged your card once." With that verdict, he went off to look up the charge. He returned, stating that he could only find one charge for that amount, and he could not do anything else. I have been a customer of Amerigos for over 30 years. Never have I experienced this low level of service from this organization.

   Amerigo’s is one of my favorite places in The Woodlands for brunch…wish they served it every Sunday! We had a wonderful experience for our party of 12, primarily due to Phillip’s excellent service on a busy Mother’s Day. Eggs Benedict was one of the best I’ve ever had, and bottomless mimosas are always wonderful! Thanks for making our day a special one.

   Amerigo’s is a lovely oasis for lunch or dinner, for a business or social lunch. I no longer work in the Woodlands so a special treat to celebrate my birthday there. The food is consistently top notch.

   Delicious Easter Brunch! Breakfast and lunch selections, along with appetizers, salads, their amazing lobster bisque (BEST this side of Maine!), decadent desserts! Our holiday ritual. Never disappointed! Amerigo’s is an institution!!

   Ordered 2 cocktails from the bar to start. Both were good. Ordered the meatball appetizer. There was a lot of polenta and 4 bite-size meatballs. The flavor was good, but the price seemed high for what we got. We ordered the lobster bisque and the arugula salad. Both were delicious. My husband got the Ciopinno. He enjoyed his meal. It came with a bowl of al dente pasta on the side. It was delish just with grated parm over the top. I got the snapper. I found it dry and without much flavor. We shared a tiramisu for dessert and it was delish. The bill was over $200. I just didn’t think the meal was worth it overall.
