Imaginative menu that is full of surprises. Well-priced, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The cioppino was well-spiced but had some residual sand in one of the baby octopus and clams... clams are understandable, not the octopus. The branzino was excellent, perfectly cooked, even the skin which was prepared with not one errant scale. Great wine list.
Food was exceptional. Service was very good.
A little noisy but acceptable
Fun and lively place on a Friday night. Definitely recommend
Totally loved this restaurant. Was a bit unsure when we walked in and noticed plywood on the walls. Seemed too stark and not cozy. I had made reservations there merely for their highly rated Cioppino which was amazing. The side Cesar salad was terrific too.. I asked for a few anchovies and immediately they appeared on the table. My friend loved the the slivered cauliflower salad and her sea bass with sautéed Asian mushrooms. Totally great experience. My martini was really good but I prefer a better martini glass than what they use.
Didn’t realize this place was in The Joule Hotel. Interesting mix of modern Italian and Sports Bar. Pretty noisy bar but was still a nice experience. Price a bit higher than I would’ve expected for this type of establishment.
Great vibe and great food in a casual atmosphere. Service was particularly good. Salmon with farro was amazing.
Loved it!!!! The service was amazing and the food was impeccable!!!! If you go for brunch do yourself a favor and order the Breakfast Pizza!!!! It was melt in your mouth goodness and the leftovers warmed up fine the next day. We will be back!!!
Great space, but the food and the service . . . maybe not so good.
My wife didn't like her soup and left it untouched, but the waiter chose not to notice as he cleared the plates.
My lasagna was fine if expensive - let's face it, who in Dallas can make good lasagna?
And my friends said they enjoyed their Italian Pie (even if it was a little skimpy on the toppings).
Go back? Maybe for a drink and to split an appetizer. For the price point it's not worth it.
Our experience at Americano was perfect! Friendly and courteous staff. Delicious food and drinks! 10/10
Americano was NOT what I was expecting at all!
I happened to accidentally come here Saturday (day before this second visit) and was extremely surprised with how AMAZING their food is. Seriously. They have papadelle pasta which if you know pasta you know is hard to make and also if they have it their food must be good. Well we had 2 apps. The meatballs are to die for. The wagyu with arugula salad is phenomenal.
And the entree is even BETTER the linguini is amazing! The chicken parm was mediocre. I’ve had better at cheaper places. But back to the parts that matter! The pasta was DELISHHHH! I will be back again and again and again!
Oh and the drinks are pretty good too! Try the swizzle!
We return to Dallas once a year for the annual gift show. We did not try Americano last year, but did this past month. It was delightful and will definitely return again. The noise level is a bit over-the-top, but, in a strange way, it allowed for a private conversation as you were not able to hear the tables next to you.
The food was exceptional. I’m not quite sure who the chef is, and did try to find out, but wasn’t able to determine that. We both had a Ceasar salad to start. It was very fresh and had just enough of a twist to make it fun and interesting. The Charcuterie board was very good, but a bit skimpy. The quality of the meats and the homemade breadsticks however made up for that. We also had the Bolognese and lasagna. Both were made with fresh pasta and were exceptional. Dessert was a bit of a letdown but that often happens at restaurants that do not have a full-time pastry chef.
The crowd at this restaurant is upwardly mobile and young. We do not fit into that demographic, however, felt very comfortable and were treated equally as every other guest in the restaurant.
A note on the drinks. We both ordered martinis and both were very good. They do not have some of the standard accoutrements that you would expect from a bar of that size But their olives, while not stuffed, we’re very good.
Our waiter was excellent.- there when you needed him… and not constantly asking you how the meal was!
We had reservations and were seated at the table the size of a stool. He food was ok at best. Wine was not good. But service was fine. Extremely loud too
My mum and I shared the Arancini and we both were violently ill that night.
Service was average for the price.
The experience was just fine. The service was fine, but the food was not that great. The salmon lacked flavor. The carpaccio was nice and the calamari was good. Nothing really stood out as exceptional. I would go if nearby, but I would not go out of my way to go back.
Great place, amazing food, vibrant atmosphere, great service! Never disappoints.
We very much enjoyed our experience!
Mike, our waitperson was so very nice and helpful!
I had a girls Sunday brunch here and it was the perfect location! It’s right next to the beautiful joule hotel. There is complimentary valet which is great because downtown parking is a nightmare. Food was really good and $15 bottled mimosas are a great deal! Would definitely recommend!
The food is simply fantastic!
Good best for date but make sure u know why u order lmao
Food was very good. Excellent service. Crazy loud noise level with only 1/3 full room at most. Would come back if in the area but not if really needing to talk with anyone.
We went to Americano for anniversary we were very disappointed food was OK It was to loud we won't be going back !!!
This was our 3rd time here. It was a totally different experience from the first 2 times. We ordered the linguine with shrimp, spaghetti with meatballs, and rigatoni with pesto. Every dish tasted completely bland. There was no flavor whatsoever! On top of that, all the pastas felt overcooked, mushy and watered down. Not at all what we expected for handmade pasta. We ordered calamari, Caesar salad and pizza for appetizers. The calamari and Caesar were good. We never received our pizza. When we were brought our entrees, we told our waiter that we never received the pizza. His response was “oh that’s because I didn’t put the order in. Do you still want it?” No apology at all. So disappointed. We will be sticking to Nonna, Lucia & Sprezza in the future for Italian.
Pappardelle was tasty but the Cannelloni was amazing.
Main dishes were good and tasteful. However, we went elsewhere for dessert.
I loved the spaghetti and meatballs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been 3 times now and both the first two times were decent. Service is always slow but the food this time was phoned in. The linguini was supposed to come with these beautiful gulf shrimp that are large and succulent. They are normally seasoned. This time I received unaeasoned salad shrimp in my pasta. I don’t know if they were out of the normal shrimp but it was not good. The pasta itself was fine but nothing special. My friends lasagna was gross and they served us wine in water glasses. I don’t think I will be rushing back.
Food and Atmosphere was great! Service was terrible. Wish I got the guys name but he disappeared and never came back. Hostess ran our card so we could get on to our show. Didn't want to be late. Take that guy out of the equation and all was good!
The food and atmosphere was great. Our specific waitress was not very attentive and did not introduce herself or give us a run down of how the menu worked. After asking another waiter he did take the time to explain the menu and portion sizes.
Some of the best food I have ever had....
The food was excellent, served hot. The service was impeccable. The cocktails were delicious! The whole experience was wonderful!
