I am always looking for new places to try and my friend and decided on Americano for a girls night. We shared the garlic bread knot which was amazing. Nice crunch and flavor, however the chicken parmigiana was disappointing. The chicken was dry and overcooked and the pasta was bland. Drinks are served in small glasses, which would be fine if the waitress were a little more attentive, however service was slow and a bit stressful while waiting for the check and change ( as we were heading to a musical after dinner).
Server brought both appetizers and main course at the same time. Pizza was very plain and although crispy it tasted of nothing. Would not come there again.
Service was a bit slow and inattentive, with an automatic 20% service charge for our large group of six. Portion sizes were inconsistent - a side eggplant dish was the same size as an entree lasagna, but the pappardelle bolognese was huge (and sadly mostly pasta and hardly any sauce). The ambiance was really cool and the wine selection was fantastic, but the food and service could have been better for what we paid.
The menu is different on the Open Table website.
The Americano has a great quiet ambiance which is perfect for a date night. Food was good and unique, but a bit pricey. I would go back again.
I was staying at the hotel where the restaurant was located. Although I had requested a booth inside they sat me at a table outside. It took maybe 10 minutes for the wait staff to take a drink order and another 10 minutes to bring it. Then it was 10-15 minutes before anyone came over to take my food order. I ordered a cheese plate which I had intended to eat as a first course, but they brought it with my main course — pizza. Maybe I should have told them or maybe they should have asked. The pizza was really outstanding/best part of the meal! Had to request the check. It was busy but could have been more organized. The staff was friendly enough but I’ve got to ding the manager: poor staff communication and poor management of resources.
We have enjoyed several meals at Americano and this was another great meal. We started with the Charcuterie and Marinated Olives, perfect start to our meal. My with order the Pasta Bolognese and I the Chicken Parm, great plates and fantastic flavors. I had several glasses of the Barbara, amazing. Emergency finishes with and Affogato and
We will be back!
It was not what i expected at all but it was really nice. We went to dine there before a show and were looking for a quick bite. The food was delicious and i will definitely be returning
Great food and wine, service slower than average but overall great experience.
Service took FOREVER. Not sure what was going on
If you want good food and service go somewhere else
The service and food was great! It was a great experience overall!
Food was very good. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing as my guest and I had a leisurely dinner.
Aperol Spritz was great. Service was very good. Didn’t love the cheese board but overall I would definitely go back.
Excellent food and service. It was our first time there. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and personable. We took her suggestions for dinner and it was fantastic. We felt like we had a lot of food coming so we didn’t order a salad. She brought us a Caesar salad to split because she wanted us to try it - for free! We will definitely go back.
Great food and service!
Way off their normal game. Super inattentive staff. Food was marginal as our order came out staggered for some reason. Waited forever....
Although the pasta was fresh and seemed to be homemade, portions were small, prices were expensive and the sauces on the food was not good
Service is always great.
I had a pizza and it was really good. Crust was thin and crunchy.
You can tell they use fresh ingredients & that it's freshly made.
They gave my reservation to someone else even though I was still 5 minutes early for it.
Great food but awful service. What a shame when this happens as you don’t want to return not because of the food but because of the way they treat you.
I booked a reservation through open table specifically noting we were celebrating a birthday. The waitstaff was nice but not attentive, drinks had to be reorder because they were never brought. The food was good but the portion on the tortellini was tiny compared to the other meals. There was less than 7 on the plate. There was no special treatment for the birthday and it took forever to the check. They it was even more frustrating because it was not a busy night, waiters were standing near the bar chatting.
Good was great service was ok.
Our server was attentive and friendly. We were surprised how quiet it was after some of the noisier places we'd been to that week.
I frequent this location often for business lunches and this one was exceptional. Their new front of house manager was so attentive to each table it felt like a different experience. The food is always quality so there was no change. I recommend any pizza and the pasta bolognese but I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. If you’re getting an app the sausage olives are truly unique and flavorful bites.
We were celebrating a birthday and had a really fun and special time! The staff was excellent.
Panini-pressed focaccia was incredible. Unfortunately, the pastas were bland. Service was ok. Prices are proud.
Everything was GREAT
The calamari appetizer was great. Both my salad(mixed greens) and my husband's Caesar salad were edible but seriously the dressing was so strong on them both that they were difficult to eat. It was as if straight white vinegar had been poured on mine. I had a coughing fit (as did my husband). Seriously hard to eat. I ordered the tagliatelle pasta and it had the potential to be really good but I could hardly eat it because it was so salty. I was scraping off the sauce eating just the noodles but really wish I had just sent it back. I am a salt-a-holic and salt everything and I did not add any salt and it was barely edible. The same was true of my husband's linguine/shrimp scampi. It was like someone had poured salt in it by the cup full. My daughter ordered the burrata, prosciutto and arugula pizza and it was just OK. She order it with the egg ($3) on top. The whole point if so you can bust the yoke and it makes a yummy sauce on the pizza. What came out of the kitchen was a solid cooked egg on the pizza. Should have sent it back also but really at that point we were just ready to leave. Cool vibe in the place and service was fine but I would not eat here again. They need to have a discussion with the chef and take the salt out of the kitchen!
Food took 45 minutes to receive, which made our visit duration run up to 2 hours. Decently priced wines and menu. Pizza was greasy and not very authentic
They serve wine in water glasses
The 2013 Tuscan we ordered came out as 2015 but everything else was great
Excellent food, great value, and not so loud you can’t have a conversation. Perfect downtown date spot.
Great food and service!!!
Americano had wonderful service and great food. It was a bit pricey but the quality of the food and service was outstanding.
Great place to meet with friends and enjoy a nice evening. Our waitress was great and was attentive but not overbearing. Nice cocktail list and everyone enjoyed their entrees. I would defiantly return .
The service was extremely slow. One person’s order was overlooked and we had to ask when it was coming to the table. I’ve been here several times before. I was very disappointed in the service.
Experience is wonderful!
