The small, intimate bar serves delicious hand crafted cocktails, beers and an impressive by the glass selection of wines, alongside a small list of tasty bar snacks....a hidden gem on the island.
The award winning wine list provides a choice of really approachable, carefully selected wines, pre dominantly domestic, with some stand out selections from Europe and beyond, catering to all tastes and budgets.
Chef-Owner Neil Ferguson looks forward to welcoming you through the door at American Seasons... to relax, unwind and allow his team to take care of you for the evening.
Neal and his staff are wonderful. The food was amazing!! Thank you!!
Our dinner at American Seasons was truly enjoyable. Our server could not have been more accommodating. She let us sample multiple wines before making our final selection. She was attentive and made numerous recommendations which steered us in the direction of some really outstanding dishes. It was restaurant week so we did have a limited menu but each dish was delicious starting with the squash soup, which was beautifully plated. The Pearl Barley Risotto was delicately flavored but delicious. The Crisp Skinned Giannone Chicken dish was as advertised -- crispy skin on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, accompanied by creamy potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. And dessert was the real treat -- vanilla creme brulee with strawberry jus and lemon "Posset" which was a lovely cream with plump blackberries and Maldon salt and candied Meyer lemon. Simple and delicious. This dinner was one of the highlights of our October break in Nantucket. I would happily return to both the restaurant and the island!!
One of the most delicious meals we’ve had on Nantucket! Great service, beautiful wine menu, such fun and unique decor! Amazing atmosphere!!! Can’t wait to go back!
The service was extremely slow. It took over 2 hours just to get out main course and 45 minutes to get cocktails
We loved our recent dinner at American Seasons. The food, service and ambiance were some of the best on Nantucket. Don’t miss out on an evening here.
Our last night in Nantucket this trip. We saved the best for the last. American Seasons was terrific.
My halibut entree was good, but my wife's fluke dish was most unimpressive: the salad was badly over-dressed and the main item was barely more than capers slathered over the fluke, for $46!
The service started out fine, but by the end of the evening, our waiter was nowhere to be found, either when we wanted to order desert or get our check.
Great Food, Great Times!!!
Great Staff very friendly!!!
Haven't been here in a few years. Had a lovely meal, attentive service and like the ambiance. Only negative comment would be the prices- they've really crept up since our last visit.
Wonderful food. Wonderful old fashioned. Wonderful service (Isabel). Great dining gem.
Charming location with a cozy atmosphere. Max, our waiter, was lovely. Food was delicious!! We had the fluke and lamb. Both were absolutely delicious. The dessert- a chocolate custard with a Bouchard and caramel- was to die for. Have no idea what a prior review is talking about- dining room was very clean- no odor. We loved it.
The setting is very romantic and cozy. The service was good and the food well presented and delicious. Can't wait to return.
One of the best meals I've ever had and the service was excellent. I'll be dreaming of that meal until our next trip to Nantucket!
Everything was great!
Food was very good and served with great professionalism. We were also happy to find a restaurant that still believes it's OK to start their patrons off with a little warm bread, and it was delicious!
Honestly one of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had. And the service was top notch. Incredible experience overall. Highly, highly recommend. This is a gem in Nantucket!
Good food and service but the restaurant was noisy.
Charming atmosphere with delicious food, great wine & professional nice service.
Love the restaurant, but it had a tired end of season feel. For example, it smelled a little as we walked in. And the terrace seating looked like a dusty picnic. I felt indoors the dirt was hidden by low lighting. Sorry to criticize because I could see how hard everyone was working. But when it smells bad, it's hard to enjoy the food--and really trust the hygiene. I will wait for cooler weather to return.
Everything was beyond perfect! The apps, dinner, wine, dessert, service and atmosphere all outstanding.
Very nice place, consistently good food. A gourmet restaurant, with average to small portions. Eat slowly & savor. Very good wine.
Service was the best characteristic of the evening. The fish entree with greens was swimming in sauce and salad dressing and minimized the flavor of both. The gazpacho was good, but not like described and more like a bisque with the crab overpowering the gazpacho.
As far as price ...a bit too pricey for the quality of the meal and when comparing to many of the most ‘popular’ onNantucket.
Service was excellent and ambiance very delightful.
A lovely restaurant with interesting, delicious offerings, and a warm, thoughtful staff. Our meal there was the best we had on the island.
I had a lovely dinner 'toute seule' this week. My waitress could not have been more attentive and thoughtful and professional.
The halibut was wonderful as was the beet salad.
I really enjoyed the Chenin Blanc that I chose.
The only less than positive comment I must make is that I found the pricing quite high for
a less than generous serving.
Great menu, service and ambience. The traffic from the Regetta Inn was terrible though :)
We had a lovely meal, excellent food, and great service!
A delightful spot a few blocks off the main part of town and WELL worth the extra walk. Their seasonal menu was wonderful and the food delicious! Drinks were very well crafted as well - highly recommended as one of the best in Nantucket, from someone who has sampled most of what's available.
Like an old friend, we have found the food at American Seasons to always be reliable and delish. This time did not disappoint - every dish was on-point and oh so good, service was prompt and served with a smile and the food arrived in a timely manner. We have been coming here for many summers and will continue to do so.
I only have good things to say about American Seasons. The place has an intimate and welcoming feel and remained relaxed and quiet throughout our time there. The food was the star of the show at every turn and continued to impress. In a town where there are lots of distractions I enjoyed the focus being on the food. It was highly enjoyable! The service was excellent as well, which really made it an all around great dining experience.
Excellent service. We loved our waiter, Max!
We had a reservation and arrived about 20 minutes early and they were able to seat us right away. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic.
Great service from Chris! Nice wine list by the glass! Food was delicious!
Quaint atmosphere, small menu with unusual items (lambs neck). Good service. Did not fill up until 8:30 or so on an August Saturday. I was somewhat concerned when a prime time was a available on Saturday AM. Would return.
Very good food with a nice setting
Chris our waiter was amazing!! Food was outstanding
A Nantucket favorite. Great service. Original food. Always a pleasure. We have two teenage kids with food allergies and they are always helpful and provide us with safe, quality meals for our kids. A terrific place!
Fantastic food and service. Lower and less brighter lighting would have improved the ambiance inside 100%!!
Fresh local ingredients, great chef, great cocktails
I have dined at American Seasons every year since 2003, and I have to say this Summer's menu was really a delight! My partner and I enjoyed all the dishes we sampled including our shared desert and would be happy to come back and eat it all again! The staff was helpful, and unintrusive, and the room is cozy and comfortable, but the food was the star! Thank you.
Food fabulous ….. Scallop appetizer unbelievable... Will dream about!
