American Grille - Marriott Vancouver Airport Ratings and Reviews
Our group of six enjoyed our meal at the American Grille. Everyone enjoyed their selections. The turkey dinner was a great special and a nice way to celebrate American Thanksgiving.
We were all staying at the Marriot, Sheraton or Hilton so the location was very convient.
We also enjoyed Happy Hour next door in the bar and were able to bring our meals to our dinner table. All round good experience. Would go again.
Enjoyed a nice evening here. The last time I visited for dinner was at least 4 years ago, not sure why..in my memory the food was not very memorable. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised this time. The portions are very generous. We ordered mussels and fries. Fall quinoa salad (super comfort food and was delicious). For the entree we shared the grille platter. It was a perfect portion for two. The charred meats (steak and ribs) were really tasty. Service was also very friendly. Finished off with an earl grey creme brûlée. Thank you for a cozy evening!
We come to the American Grille every month or so and usually have a good meal. Food is high quality and the service is very good. We came on a recent Sunday and I was disappointed to find that they've discontinued their Sunday Prime Rib. This was our usual reason to come to the restaurant.
We were a party of 2 couples to have the lunch on Saturday. The ambience was very nice not too quiet and not too loudly on the lunch time. All of us ordered the seafood dishs. The portions of mussel and halibut with angel hairs were very large. It was very tasty. We definitely shall come soon. The waitress was very friendly.
I went there with my girlfriend and my son. We ordered a Tuna Poke, Cod with seasonal vegetables and cod linguini, all dishes were super tasty and filling. We had no room for desserts. I think what we appreciated most was we could have a conversation and hear each other.
We had an awesome server Amy who was friendly and pretty attentive to our needs. The restaurant was quite busy, more so than I thought it would be. We had the duck breast and halibut pasta, both dishes were really tasty. It's not a huge restaurant so I would definitely make a reservation before stopping by. We didn't try the dessert this time but may spring for it next time. Definitely would come back here! They have lots of high chairs as well so very family friendly.
Birthday dinner here. Food was good. Server was good. We ordered the rack of lamb, which was a big portion so very good for two people to share, We also ordered the Spicy Shrimp and Avocado Salad. That one wasn't spicy at all.. the sauce was a bit too sweet for our liking, but overall.. it was a good experience. Will come back again,.
My wife and I visit the Grille quite often It's our favourite restaurant in Richmond. We have never had a bad meal. We have recommended it to many of our friends and sometimes come with other couples and also family celebrations The menu is excellent especially the seafood dishes also really good value
The service was great, and the food really was outstanding, especially for both presentation and taste. The initial bread basket had nice, warm fresh bread, and some kind of sesame/poppy? cracker leaves? It was great while we waited, and we finished all of that throughout dinner too.
We started with the crab cakes, which I thought were maybe just a tad dry, but didnt really detract too much. For the main course, I had the duck breast, and my wife had the blackened halibut. The duck was medium rare, beautifully tender and tasty, the veggies were cooked to perfection, the potatoes nicely firm, the carrot puree was a wonderful touch to the veggies, and there was none of it left on my plate. The blackened halibut had a nice light crust to it, tender underneath, and very tasty. To top it off, we shared the Chocolate Tres Leches, rich but light, the perfect finish to a fabulous meal! It was a bit of a drive from Maple Ridge, but well worth it, and would do it again. At first I thought the portions seemed a bit small, but after we finished, we were both stuffed. Thanks to the servers and kitchen staff!
Came for the Salmon festival. The salmon was great, cooked just good and palatable.
The bread basket was very well done this time. It was warm and very fresh with home made butter. Dessert menu was interesting. Had the chocolate Tres Leches, simply delicious.
Service above average on a not so busy Wednesday night.
Service was great as usual, jovi, shenaz, randy and franc made my day extra special. Food was delicious, my husband says your burger is the best. I had the steak salad and had to get a lobster mac and cheese to share for my guests. Even got to see chef Danilo who's cooking I have always loved, chef mike and chef tony. Thank you again American grille, you made my trip to Vancouver complete..
We had our business breakfast at the American Grille this past Wednesday. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating. We had a party of seven and we found the service great and the breakfast food we had were well-presented and tasty. Everyone remarked that portions were quite large - which is a bonus especially if you're hungry! Bon appetite, Everyone!
I selected this place for a belated birthday dinner on May 27, a Saturday. I had never been there before; I just liked the exterior. The elephant sculptures add a nice touch. But when I went inside and got seated, I felt the selection was small but generous and was worth the $20 range of what they have to offer in terms of meals. Although they have a maximum of 10 per table, that's perfect for when you want to hang with friends, especially at a place like this. The indoor atmosphere is just gorgeous, and that includes the interior decor. I believe this is the only place I've been to where the kitchen is right inside the dining area. That's cool. The two servers we had were very competent and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long for our meals either. I kinda hate it when I'm presented it with a dessert and everyone sings "Happy Birthday", but whatever. I will definitely go back there one of these days. If you like seafood and/or steak, this is your bag.
American Grille never disappoints and at reasonable prices. Staff makes a point of being welcoming and to make one feel special. Free parking is appreciated as well, and loyalty discounts. Our waiter Remi was most efficient as was the hostess as well. She even came to sing to my husband for his birthday. Remi was too chicken, haha.
Good spot if you're trying to accommodate several generations. Found the menu had good comfort food/traditional choices (like a Prime Rib Thursday special, or "Steveston Style" fish and chips), plus some fresher inspiration like the delicious prawn, avocado and papaya salad I enjoyed. Wines by the glass covered a decent range of varieties. Desserts were also well done. For a fairly casual place, we left happy and ready to return.
Service at American Grille is truly outstanding. Each of the three servers waiting upon our table went beyond the call of duty to make us feel comfortable, without ever being intrusive or appearing insincere. All five of us enjoyed the food, with the portions being exactly right. Only the lavender creme brulee was a tad bland. All other dishes got top marks from my table companions.
