Great Place! Took my wife there for her Birthday. The food and service were exceptional!
as always, i bring a my guests to American Cut. Love the atmosphere, service and more importantly food.
The cocktails and bar atmosphere were really nice. Food was great but the highlight was the service. From the backwaiters impeccably maintaining the table to our server, it was all near perfect. Walter(?) was polite, enthusiastic, kind and knowledgeable about the menu. He really made our anniversary dinner special. Will definitely return.
I celebrated my wife’s birthday here and it was our first time patronizing this venue - it was awesome !! Food was great and so was the service -... Looking forward coming back !! ...and even the desert was great !!! Lol
We used to go there once a week, normally everything ia perfect but last experience was horrible.
Overall good experience. Don’t order Mac and cheese side if you envision a baked crispy version. Wish we’d known.
Had a great time, all the staff was very attentive!!!
Asked them to make my daughter’s b-day special - Russell and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make that happen. Love this place - delivers every time. Highly recommended.
The Tomahawk steak was amazing !
We returned to this restaurant a second time for a reason. Our meal was fantastic! The appetizer, entrees, sides, and accompaniments were spot-on.
The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lively but we could still have an intimate conversation.
I’m already looking forward to our next visit.
I had great time ! Our waitress was phenomenal. Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection!!!
Yet again, another beautifully curated evening at American Cut. I walked in drenched from the bad weather, and was able to quickly dry off in their clean ladies room, before being escorted to the table. The service was impeccable. My date arrived a few
minutes before me and ordered my favorite, the Old Fashioned. Since it was his first time I told him to try the smoked version as it truly is the best I’ve ever had. We quickly moved to the food and started off with my personal favorite Chili Lime Lobster. It has such amazing flavors, sour and sweet with a touch of heat ❤️ We also enjoyed a beautiful burrata, basil dish with tomatoes perfectly seasoned. We then moved to the shrimp cocktail with just the right amount of horseradish...yum. Then our main courses arrived🤤🤤🤤 I love a rare steak, my date not so much, and both of our dry aged rib eyes were cooked to perfection (I even got him to try rare meat...we might have a convert). With our steaks we had two sides, broccoli and a delicious mac and cheese. The broccoli is lightly charred with garlic and a hint of red pepper flakes. I dipped mine in the juice from the steak and it was heaven. This was my first try on the mac and cheese, and I was not disappointed! I loved it! You can imagine at this point my date and I are ready for a brief nap. Our amazing server who had been the perfect level of attentive (gave us space but was always right there when we needed something) asked if we wanted a desert menu. We had to politely decline. He got a big grin and handed us salted chocolate chip cookies for the road. The food is impeccable, but staff was absolutely amazing and created a truly memorable experience.
Great food & service.
Very nice experience, my wife and I enjoyed it after a show. It was quite a walk from the theatre district... About 10 blocks, but the weather was good.
Service was outstanding. Nice big tables. Steak was good. Oysters were very good.
Had an excellent restaurant week dinner. Craft cocktails, baked oysters, steak, ice cream sundae with brownies. Everything was delicious. Only drawback was the uncomfortably loud noise level.
We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and luckily they had the restaurant week menu. It was a great deal and so much food. I almost couldn’t finish it. The biscuits are amazing! My boyfriend ordered a NY strip and was double on size than the steak of the RW menu and he was struggling to finish it. Huge!
The service was great! Our waiter was very attentive, after we finished the desert that comes with the prefix menu, they brought us another scoop of ice cream with a little candle :)
Dinner for 2 with one being the RW menu and 2 drinks was around 170. So definitely not on the cheap side hehe but worth it!!
Exquisite food. Yellowtail Crudo was remarkable, filet cooked to perfection and our waiter was personable and knowledgeable.
The waiters were friendly and attentive. Love the appetizers and steak but the sundae dessert was a bit too sweet.
Excellent service and overall stellar experience. We celebrated a special occasion at American Cut and would strongly recommend this location to other couples looking for a tasteful, delicious restaurant.
great staffing. very welcoming. food was excellent and the wine was impeccable. i would go here again
Rave reviews for food and very professional and accommodating staff. Would definitely recommend!
Everyone was really nice however we felt like restaurant was under staffed. We didn’t place our dinner order till an hour after sitting down
Nyc /July is hot , American cut is hotter
Food is ok
The food was amazing and our server was great!
Excellent as always!
Dinner was excellent. We went during restaurant week. The choices in the 3 categories were sufficient. The price was $42 for appetizer, dinner and dessert. We started with the salad which we both found different and delicious. I had chicken under a brick. It was moist and very tasty. For sides, which were included, we got cauliflower and hash browns. For dessert we both got the chocolate Sunday, which was light and refreshing. They also offered a restaurant week wine list. Prices were very reasonable. Wine was also very good. My only complaint, was service was a little slow. We were in no hurry, so it didn’t matter. I think our waiter, who was very nice, realized this, and brought us their Cracker Jack Sunday. Decadent!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Very understaffed. Our waiter was good & working hard, but it took forever to get anything because there weren’t enough people working.
Expensive (for me anyway) but my favorite restaurant in Manhattan. The service is outstanding and the steaks are heaven....
A wonderful experience top to bottom!
Great service. Generous portions. There is butter in EVERYTHING (even the spinach, or the mushrooms sides) so always ask what is in the dish. Enormous steak 😀
The steak we ordered was for medium rare; it came out well-done. for that price, this is unacceptable. Dinner was high priced and for that money, it should have come out perfect, which it did not. i will not return, nor would we recommend it.
The bread that came at the start was like a biscuit-like bagel with spread. It was really good! The salad we had was good too. The steaks were prepared really well! My husband reckoned that the pastrami dry-aged ribeye steak I had was significantly more tasty than his selection of the dry-aged ribeye steak. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and an ice cream parfait. Both were OK, nothing special and would probably not waste my calories on that! The rose champagne and red wine we had were both excellent, as was the service.
Fabulous meal. We had a 9-top. Food came out flawlessly as did our wood planked drinks! Service as always could not have been better.
Have been to the Tribeca location, but actually me and my husband really like the midtown one. The waiter was super friendly and funny, the porterhouse and the smoked old fashion ,they prepared in front of us,such a great experience, very entertaining, you dont get that at another restaurants. I'm sure we will back.
The steak and creamed spinach and sunchoke gratin were very good. The wedge had virtually no dressing or blue cheese. The service was fairly friendly somewhat attentive but nothing special. The noise level was terrible. Not a restaurant to go to for enjoyable conversation. Most tables were filled with business men speaking loudly. The restaurant has made no consideration to sound reduction in its interior design. We won’t be back.
Wonderful food and great service.
Spectacular tasting menu with delicious food and perfect wines to match. Service highly professional and the 8 of us are sure to go back as couples and with friends!!
We went to American Cut to get the bone in tomahawk rib eye & we were so disappointed w/the quality
The service could not be better but $130 for a steak that was not good @ this Steak House was surprisingly disappointing
We will not be back to this location
