Service was outstanding. Nice big tables. Steak was good. Oysters were very good.
Had an excellent restaurant week dinner. Craft cocktails, baked oysters, steak, ice cream sundae with brownies. Everything was delicious. Only drawback was the uncomfortably loud noise level.
We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and luckily they had the restaurant week menu. It was a great deal and so much food. I almost couldn’t finish it. The biscuits are amazing! My boyfriend ordered a NY strip and was double on size than the steak of the RW menu and he was struggling to finish it. Huge!
The service was great! Our waiter was very attentive, after we finished the desert that comes with the prefix menu, they brought us another scoop of ice cream with a little candle :)
Dinner for 2 with one being the RW menu and 2 drinks was around 170. So definitely not on the cheap side hehe but worth it!!
Exquisite food. Yellowtail Crudo was remarkable, filet cooked to perfection and our waiter was personable and knowledgeable.
The waiters were friendly and attentive. Love the appetizers and steak but the sundae dessert was a bit too sweet.
Excellent service and overall stellar experience. We celebrated a special occasion at American Cut and would strongly recommend this location to other couples looking for a tasteful, delicious restaurant.
great staffing. very welcoming. food was excellent and the wine was impeccable. i would go here again
Rave reviews for food and very professional and accommodating staff. Would definitely recommend!
Everyone was really nice however we felt like restaurant was under staffed. We didn’t place our dinner order till an hour after sitting down
Nyc /July is hot , American cut is hotter
Food is ok
The food was amazing and our server was great!
Excellent as always!
Dinner was excellent. We went during restaurant week. The choices in the 3 categories were sufficient. The price was $42 for appetizer, dinner and dessert. We started with the salad which we both found different and delicious. I had chicken under a brick. It was moist and very tasty. For sides, which were included, we got cauliflower and hash browns. For dessert we both got the chocolate Sunday, which was light and refreshing. They also offered a restaurant week wine list. Prices were very reasonable. Wine was also very good. My only complaint, was service was a little slow. We were in no hurry, so it didn’t matter. I think our waiter, who was very nice, realized this, and brought us their Cracker Jack Sunday. Decadent!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Very understaffed. Our waiter was good & working hard, but it took forever to get anything because there weren’t enough people working.
Expensive (for me anyway) but my favorite restaurant in Manhattan. The service is outstanding and the steaks are heaven....
A wonderful experience top to bottom!
Great service. Generous portions. There is butter in EVERYTHING (even the spinach, or the mushrooms sides) so always ask what is in the dish. Enormous steak 😀
The steak we ordered was for medium rare; it came out well-done. for that price, this is unacceptable. Dinner was high priced and for that money, it should have come out perfect, which it did not. i will not return, nor would we recommend it.
The bread that came at the start was like a biscuit-like bagel with spread. It was really good! The salad we had was good too. The steaks were prepared really well! My husband reckoned that the pastrami dry-aged ribeye steak I had was significantly more tasty than his selection of the dry-aged ribeye steak. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and an ice cream parfait. Both were OK, nothing special and would probably not waste my calories on that! The rose champagne and red wine we had were both excellent, as was the service.
Fabulous meal. We had a 9-top. Food came out flawlessly as did our wood planked drinks! Service as always could not have been better.
Have been to the Tribeca location, but actually me and my husband really like the midtown one. The waiter was super friendly and funny, the porterhouse and the smoked old fashion ,they prepared in front of us,such a great experience, very entertaining, you dont get that at another restaurants. I'm sure we will back.
The steak and creamed spinach and sunchoke gratin were very good. The wedge had virtually no dressing or blue cheese. The service was fairly friendly somewhat attentive but nothing special. The noise level was terrible. Not a restaurant to go to for enjoyable conversation. Most tables were filled with business men speaking loudly. The restaurant has made no consideration to sound reduction in its interior design. We won’t be back.
Wonderful food and great service.
Spectacular tasting menu with delicious food and perfect wines to match. Service highly professional and the 8 of us are sure to go back as couples and with friends!!
We went to American Cut to get the bone in tomahawk rib eye & we were so disappointed w/the quality
The service could not be better but $130 for a steak that was not good @ this Steak House was surprisingly disappointing
We will not be back to this location
Used to love this spot but it has gone extremely down hill. The food was horrendous this time. A crab cocktail swimming in mayo? What a way to ruin fine crab. And the entrees were def not worth it. Even the bread was different. They updated the decor and ruined their food. Skip.
The place is cool and the food is excelent. Service is attentive and they're allways there for anything you need. Prices are normal for upper east side but it is too noisy: no chance to chat, you need to almost shout.
One important detail: the wine list is very good, but pricy.
Total gem! This was my first time at American Cut midtown. I have been many times to American Cut Tribeca. I absolutely loved the decor....dim/trendy/cozy! The bar area was roomy and perfect for a drinks and a bite. We sat this time in the formal dining room, the food and service were excellent! Will be frequenting this restaurant often.
Place is freaking suspect. Why is it so much more expensive than other steakhouses? Especially when the quality is lower.
This is where I bring all of my out of town guests and business associates. The team a Team american cut puts on an amazing well coordinated meal. It’s fun to watch, and better to eat.
Wait staff was amazing!
I went here for my girlfriends birthday and we had an absolutely amazing time. The service was excellent and the food was just as good. The ambiance was lovely with a dim lit room, amazing seats, and soft music. Highly recommend this place for a nice date night or special occasion.
Great waiter. Perfect ambience. Not too noisy
Family get together for birthday and Easter. Six adults and three kids 3-8 years. Shared everything. Two absolutely fabulous aged porterhouse and shared appetizers. Best was lettuce wedge which easly served two. Service was patient and responsive with some uncertaintenty with about ordering for the kids. Not Cheap but we had a great time!
Great food and exceptional service.
First, this restaurant is beautiful. The service was excellent - the waiter spent Unrushed time discussing different cuts, etc. The veal chop was fantastic, tender and tasty. The rib eye that my husband had was also yummy. French fries were crispy and well seasoned. The bacon in the Brussel sprouts was crisp and lean. If there was any negative, the music was loud.
We will return
Always a pleasure to dine here, great atmosphere for a casual business or personal dining experience.
Love the dry aged ribeye and bacon!
I’m afraid the food lacked flavor.
Absolutely loved our food, experience and service. Highly recommend.
Another great meal at American Cut, with great service from all of the staff. Only reason food doesn't get 5 stars this time around is because our Tomahawk came out closer to rare than the medium rare plus we ordered - not too much of a concern since it just need to be brought up a bit. Staff was even nice enough to send us home with an extra tomahawk bone for each of my friend's two dogs.
