I always love this place. Unfortunately the acoustics are not great. Some people’s very loud voices travel. It makes a big difference.

We enjoyed this restaurant because it works to get everything right. The service is warm, friendly and attentive. We came for brunch and there were all the right choices. The drinks menu is enticing. The french fries are superb and plentiful. And no matter what you order, it is well prepared.

This was our second time dining at American Beech. The decor is lovely and the staff friendly. We were so pleased with the way they more than made up for an error in one of our orders. Without asking the kitchen not only sent out another meal but sent each of us a glass of sparkling wine. We would definitely go back again.

Awesome! Best meal i’ve had in Greenport in a long time. Delicious craft cocktails, Perfectly prepared mussels and amazing short rib tagliatelle. Can’t say enough about it. The service is above and beyond and the atmosphere chic yet adorable at the same time. Can’t wait to go back.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we enjoyed every moment of American Beech! The food, cocktails and service were all on point. We were a party of 6 and our table was perfect. We will definitely come back!

The restaurant is lovely and the food was excellent! However, the staff was incredibly rude and off putting beginning with the hostess. Although we had a reservation, we had to wait for a table while the bartender had to remake all of our drinks as they were awful. Overall the experience was very disappointing.

Only go for the atmosphere. The food is mediocre and my margarita was down right awful. I basically paid $18 for a watered-down cocktail. Skirt steak was tough and lacked flavor.

Huge disappointment, and I have gone to this restaurant several times eaten similar meals . Tonight’s food came out cold over seasoned Yes they replaced the meal only my partner was almost done with his. Might be good for a Burger fine dining for steak that cost 46 bucksI will not be running back.

The hostess was attentive to our needs. We were seated close to our reservation time and our server came over right away for our drink and food orders. Attention was paid to allergies and food preferences. Unfortunately the steak was overcooked and had to be sent back, then came back overcooked again but we did not send it back a second time since we didn’t want to wait any longer to eat. The steak dish was just ok and at $42 we expected better. We also had corn risotto which was excellent but because of the delay in the steak was eaten partially hot and partially cool. They gave us complimentary champagne for the delay. We opted to not have dessert or coffee. The prices are high but typical for the area.

Was very excited to try American Beech for the first time. All the food we got was delicious and every drink we tried were great. We had no issues until our server asked us to get up cause they had another table coming, but we could go outside with our drinks to the bar. Despite a bunch of empty tables around us, we proceeded to go outside and get a few shots for our group. Our id’s were not even checked inside when our group ran up a pricey bill, but when we ordered shots they took them for 5 minutes to double check them. No issue we paid and got our shots. A bit later we go up to the bar to order drinks and all give our id’s. The bartender (who looked around 18) ran away with them and proceeded to come back and say after showing them to her manager she cannot serve us. I proceed to ask why, and she said we’re not confident that these are all real. Our entire group was 23 and above, and have not had id issues in years. I asked for the manager (who looked 17) to come over and he rudely tells us the id of the 25 year old is fake. As I’m telling him that this is absolutely ridiculous, he proceeds to tell us to leave and runs away. One of the hostesses tells us to go to the inside bar and order, and our favorite 17 year old manager is there. We asked what the problem was and he goes “whatever I don’t care what do you want” and proceeds to serve us. The staff ruined our experience at the restaurant for no reason, and clearly do not know how to read id’s. Will consider returning when the staff is older than me and can understand what a New York ID looks like.

We sat in the indoor dining room which was nicely decorated and relatively quiet, especially as compared to the outdoor covered dining room. The food was creative and well prepared but choices were somewhat limited. For a North Fork Restaurant, this was a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful dinner on the patio. The food was excellent. We shared the tuna tartare sppetizer and had the scallops and duck for entrees. We also shared the flourless Chocolate cake for dessert. Our son and daughter in law are there two nights Earlier and also loves it. We will definitely be back!
