Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life.

Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor.

The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish.

We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

Not the best ever After making a reservation was seated at a worse table than the folks in front of us who were a walk in. Asked to change answer was no but then once again two better tables open but not for us. Will not go back

It was as expected, nothing outstanding though. First time there and was expecting a bit more. Made reservations weeks ago and were there early so we sat at the bar for drinks and appetizer. When we went to be seated they said there were only large tables because of reservations? Yep. That's why I made one. So two of us sat awkwardly at a six top.

Staff very accommodating. Food EXCELLENT. It was a return dining experience for us who live in Maryland and we introduced family members from North Charleston to your restaurant! Thank you for being consistently excellent!

Overall a nice spot, large group next to us contributed to the noise level.

WOW! I don't usually write reviews. Amen's service and food compelled me to do so.
We had 8 of us and had 6 different entrees, EVERY ONE of them was outstanding!
The shrimp and grits, tuna tacos, each fish selection / prep and the fresh oysters were all 10"s!!
Danielle was the most attentive without being overbearing waitress we have had in years.
She also knew the prep and tastes of every dish on the menu and made your mouth water describing each one.
IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE DO NOT MISS AMEN!!

I sat next to the front door. Cool lights, but didn't see much of the restaurant, so I can't comment on the ambiance.
Had a specialty oyster sampler, she crab soup, and a "Bryan Cranston" cocktail. Not a cheap meal, but really good. Great service.

Went here for Charleston restaurant week, with family that was visiting. Was very disappointed with the food, It was very bland and portion size very small. My husband order seafood stew from the menu which is an entree and was very disappointed with the size. The best part was the drinks and dessert and our waiter. Left disappointed.

We went during restaurant week and found the regular menu more appealing. For the price of the meal, I expected more especially in a foodie town. The food was extremely rich and left me feeling like I’d just eaten a half pound of butter.

We've just moved to Charleston and this was our first experience with restaurant week. My daughter and I thought the Amen menu looked very interesting and we were told that the oysters there are excellent. So true! We shared delicious raw oysters to start, and the rest of the meal was fabulous! The server was very attentive and personable. And the bar is very extensive! We will definitely return!
