Excellent food. Had oysters and calamari as appetizers and the House beer salad with fried oysters. All were delicious. Service was outstanding. I believe her name was Casey!!!
My husband and I stop for lunch. The service and oysters were great. We had both raw and Rockefeller. Both great. Very good Bloody Mary. We will return.
Excellent location, attentive and pleasant staff. Oysters were great
Had a large Palmetto Bug at our table while ordering, it happens in Charleston and we did get comped a round of wine. My wife's scallop dish was only average. The mussels and and oysters were good. We'll likely give them another try.
Great oysters & surprised at the wonderful fish dinners, presentation & flavors!
We had a booth in the bar which we were happy with as we felt more ambiance and energy.
Oysters weren’t as fresh as usual. Waitress was ok, but not welcoming and very friendly.
Our food was amazing. Everything we order including our drinks was very good. Food was full of flavor and service was fast.
If you haven't tried here, DO IT! IT WAS AMAZING! The oysters are incredible, the mussels were excellent....the shrimp and grits, holy moly and the blackened swordfish was out of sight. Don't get me started on the cocktails. The service was amazing. Don't go without a reservation. Parking is easiest if you use Cumberland St parking deck. It's right behind restaurant. Otherwise you just waste time driving around.
The food was awesome and the waitress was so very friendly. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant by the in/out of the kitchen. We asked if we could sit at another table that wasn’t in the path of EVERYONE and were told no because someone requested a table that wasn’t in the middle. We reserved through Open Table too and not sure how we were chosen for that one table. Hostess was NOT friendly. So others reserving through Open Table request a table by the wall or you will be involved in everyone coming in and out of kitchen, everyone being seated, everyone going to the restroom.
Food and service was good. Ordered oysters on the half shell. They were very small.
Overall great experience! Food and oysters were great. Had a special Valentine's Day special with strawberry mignonette oysters which were fabulous! Mahi with the lowcountry prep was great!
Great atmosphere and food. Would highly recommend.
Great experience! Always a nice time here.
Awesome food and sweet server
Solid nothing special but very solid.
I had the whole red snapper and it was excellent, very moist, tender and well seasoned. My wife enjoyed the shrimp risotto and it was also very good. The risotto had a lot of cheese which made the meal a little heavier than mine.
Very busy for 1530 but the food was awesome. Noise level was a bit loud. Service was good. Pricing was probably normal for a downtown restaurant.
Get the calamari! Best I've had. The shrimp and mushroom risotto was outstanding!
Wonderful seafood for sure. Love the atmosphere. Warm and comfortable booths and the service was very good. Nice wines too. Ordered the fish tacos which were very good. I think that if I would have ordered an entre type dinner my rating may be outstanding as I saw some of the dishes and they looked just great. Next time for sure as it is worth going back. My husband enjoyed his fried shrimp platter. Great hushpuppies!!!
The food and atmosphere were awesome and our server Danielle was attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. I will recommend and can’t wait to come back.
Wonderful shrimp! Always visit while in town!
The she crab soup was just warm and bland without any good character to note. The burger was ok but the fries were cold and as hungry as i was after traveling all day, they were not edible. Service was disappointing with little attention and no inquiry to the food or offer to refill the wine & water. I will not be going back to Amen street Fish.
Amen is one of my fav restaurants in downtown Charleston. Great service and food every time.
Food was excellent. This was the first time I have visited Charleston since covid. It seemed a little crowded based on conditions. Bar stools were bumper to bumper with people. All tables were full. I travel to 10 other states for work. SC seems to have more lax rules. Sunday brunch was the same at another location. Highly recommend for food.
Very bad experience. Server seemed overwhelmed. Drinks arrived 10-15 minutes after ordering and diluted with melted ice. Food delivered out of sequence . . . Nothing worse than getting your salad before the appetizer. When the main (sautéed Mahi) it was as tough as shoe leather. Dried film over rice was evidence that it sat under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. Start to finish, it was a disappointing meal. When you spend $150 on dinner for two, you shouldn’t leave regretting that you ever went out.
Waiter was not attentive at all especially considering half the tables were empty.. He got 2 items of our order wrong. Food was excellent.
Food, ambiance and service was great!!! Love thus place and location.
Delicious, love the calamari, oysters, filet. Service...spot on!
Great seafood/fried shrimp platter.
Server was phenomenal, was professional and personable, while still allowing our conversations to flow easily. Very happy with her and the overall experience. Thank you. Also, clean and comfortable atmosphere even with pandemic considered.
Loved the food and the ambiance. Not cheap but worth every penny.
The ambiance was very fun. Love the old exposed brick of the place. Our waitress was super sweet. I had the oysters Rockefeller and it was amazing. My husband had the shrimp and shiitake risotto and also great. We got the fried green tomatoes and loved it. Awesome casual place
Great seafood platter at a decent price. Fried oysters were perfect.
Due to COVID, we felt more comfortable sitting outside. Glad we did! Hardly a mask in sight and the bar was packed. The food was delicious!!!! Great local oysters. The tuna tartare was spectacular! Would highly recommend.
Another great meal , COvId safe and great atmosphere.
My husband and I are frequent visitors of Charleston and we always make plans to dine at Amen St! Food is always fresh and excellent every single time! We recommend oysters and calamari!
No complaints!
Great experience. The food , service , ambience, and value for the level of quality, all exceptional.
Food and atmosphere were awesome
