The She Crab Soup is fantastic! Rich but worth it! I also enjoyed that they feature fresh fish daily in different preparations. Finally, the fries are a “must”. They cut them fresh and then do an in house batter to add a unique flavoring!
Fabulous early dinner experience!
It was our 39th anniversary
This was our third time at Amen during our visits to Charleston. We like the atmosphere and food is always good. We did miss the mussels on the menu this time. They still remain the best ones we have ever had. Please bring them back!
We ate here for lunch and absolutely loved all our food. From the Oysters, Fried Green tomatoes to our super fresh Mahi Mahi and Fried Flounder, everything was great. We will certainly go back here again.
Always love eating at Amen. Service was a little slower than normal but still spot on. The best She Crab Soup.
Great meal with friends. The fried seafood platter was very good. 2 members of our party had the crab cakes and enjoyed them. 1 member of our group ordered the shrimp and grits (a favorite of hers) and said this was the best she has ever had.
Took dessert to enjoy later and it was exceptional.
Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
Picked this restaurant by mistake. But what a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent. The only thing I would not order again was the ceviche it was good but not great. The tuna tartare is incredible. We had herb crusted grouper that was outstanding
What a welcome change to our normal visits to downtown eateries! The food was excellent and the service was just as great. As locals who are always looking to step up our game and entice our pallets, Amen was just what we needed. Our new “Go To” spot!
Awesome service. Food was great. Definitely a must do in Charleston
Had a great meal, delicious oysters from the raw bar followed by the fried seafood plate and a delicious Caesar salad with salmon
The food was delicious from the tuna tartare appetizer to the crabcakes. Outside dining is available because of COVID and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching all the activities around us. Service was exceptional!
Food and service were both excellent! We tried the oysters and they were so delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and a great location. Service was quick and courteous.
Great food, great service. Only thing questionable was sitting outside and the amount of traffic which isn't the restaurants fault.
Overall good experience. Had to wait even though we had reservations. Service was good, food was great and prices weren’t terrible. Would recommend the blackened grouper.
Excellent all the way around. Food, service and ambience was top notch.
We have been several times to Amen and really enjoy it. Totally recommend. This time, however, the fish was over cooked and very salty. Times are tricky these days, so hopefully a one time set back.
Great time and great food
The grouper that ordered was somewhat tough and overcooked. Service was good but not spectacular. Expensive for the size of the portions.
We were disappointed that they were out of crab cakes and flounder BUT the mahi mahi and scallops were delicious!!
Great service and food, everything was Covid clean.
Our lunch at Amen Street was as wonderful as two years ago when we visited Charleston. Our waitress was delightful and did not hurry us whatsoever. Their commitment to cleaning and social distancing is extremely evident in this time of Covid. We will return again next visit.
Good, fresh food, and even better service, especially for the value. Was a very nice experience.
Amazing food, great service, clean and socially spaced out, and will definitely be going back!
Amazing food and very good drinks! You can't go wrong with oysters!
The absolute best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. I will be back!!!
We had an awesome lunch at Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar, we sat at the bar and we received wonderful service and great food!
Due to Covid, we opted to eat outside for lunch. Very nice little tables set up along the sidewalk. The inside of the restaurant was very nice, clean, welcoming and practicing all recommended protocols. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The raw bar was awesome - we had Wellfleet MA oysters on the half shell. Entrees were amazing. Fried oysters were plump and perfectly fried. Shrimp and grits was so good - plenty of shrimp and the local grits were yummy. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the food and service as we usual. I’m glad they are still open
Loved it! And homemade ginger beer is the best anywhere!!
I would highly recommend Amen Street for anyone visiting Charleston. My fiancée and I visit Charleston at least once a year and we make a point to stop at Amen Street every time. The calamari is some of the best I’ve ever had and the raw oysters are fantastic. The shrimp and grits are also delicious if you’re looking for some truly southern food. Simply put, if you visit, you won’t be disappointed!
It was great
Loved the oysters
as always a solid experience , food is always good and so is the service
Been traveling through the south on a road trip (post COVID lockdown) and have eaten in many cities over the last 7 days. This was by far the best meal we’ve had. Fresh, great options and good drinks, price point was decent and the ambiance and waitress was lovely. Thoroughly recommend!
First visit to Charleston and this restaurant was 5 stars. Food was amazing and service was exceptional. Highly recommend the desserts. We had all 3!!!
It was my first trip to Charleston. The food was amazing
The restaurant was recommended by a valued friend and we were NOT disappointed. My wife of 30 years tried raw oysters for the first time, and loved it. The shrimp and grits were phenomenal!
This restaurant was much better than I anticipated. My wife and I were in Charleston for a long weekend and decided to try Amen Street Fish. I ordered the fried oyster plate and my wife had the fried shrimp plate. The absolute best we've ever had. We will definitely return when in Charleston.
