Another great visit to this lovely restaurant. The St. Valentine's Day menu was wonderful and the quality was superb ! The restaurant was full but despite this, the service was good.

We had new year's day lunch here, my meal was excellent, breaded brie starter was the best i've had! Seafood linguine was full of flavour and the Apple and winter fruit crumble was superb flavour. Look forward to going next time we're back in Cornwall.

Another outstanding visit, this time to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The Quality of Food and the Service were excellent. Compliments to the Chef and the Management ! It made our Wedding Anniversary special !

Having eaten here twice last year, we were pleased to visit again inviting special guests for a lovely meal. Super relaxed atmosphere . Good service but not rushed. Good choice on menu.

Had a wonderful lunch, very quiet only ourselves and one other table in. We both had fish dishes that where wonderful. Staff where friendly and I would love to go back when it is busier. Although suited us being quiet as we had our 3 month old with us and don't like to disturb other diners. My fish platter was massive but all very good. Scallops and squid where great few too many mussels and prawns but still loved it!

Located in one of our favorite coastal villages, Amelias lived up to our expectations. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was great, and the service from everyone was cheerful swift and attentive. Living just a few miles away we will certainly return. We will certainly recommend it to our friends. If you enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and great food don't miss Amelias. See you all again before too long.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Amelies with an evening meal on October 3rd, 2015. The food was outstanding and the service excellent. We have been to Amelies a few times over the last 5 or 6 years - but this was by far the best meal we have ever had there. There was a buzz and a happy atmosphere about the place. Waiters were attentive without being intrusive and the Head Waiter co-ordinated everything subtlety but efficently. 1st Class !

Prompted by the BBC programme, we embarked on my first visit to Cornwall to give Amelie's a try as a belated Wedding Anniversary celebration. Amelie's overlooks the picturesque little Porthleven harbour area, so the décor of wooden tables and comfy padded benches is fits the theme perfectly. Out of curiosity we glanced at the menu at Rick Stein's place next door, but it didn't look anywhere near as imaginative as Amelie's. The restaurant was very busy - hardly surprising on a Saturday evening - but the staff took this in their stride. The atmosphere was relaxed, there was no sense of being hurried in order for them to fit in other diners and we were very well looked after throughout our visit. As for the food, what can I say? I opted for the lobster which was a little more expensive than anything I would normally go for, but it was a special occasion and well worth the money. The whole meal was absolutely delicious and of course beautifully presented. Lemon sorbet in Prosecco is something I'll definitely try at home We'd certainly recommend Amelies's and can't wait to go back to visit them and Cornwall again.

My boyfriend and myself were recommended this restaurant by a friend and it didn't let us down. The location is fantastic and same with the restaurant. Staff were friendly and the food was gorgeous especially the seafood. The prosecco sorbet was lovely. We would definitely eat there again if we were in the area but we live in London so would be a while before we return.
