Service was fantastic here! The two servers we had were both very professional, hard working, and had excellent customer service. My girl friend ordered a drink that didn’t taste how she was expecting, which she has never been vocal about before in 3 years. She was incredibly anxious to say anything so she refused. I politely apologized and asked if she could order a different drink? Our server didn’t show the slightest feeling of perturbed. He smiled and generously comped the drink as well as the second drink. I would recommend Amelia’s Trattoria to anyone! Thank you for a lovely evening.
Have been dining there occasionally (now live in White Mtns, NH, but 1st recommendation I make whenever meeting friends, etc in Boston area. Not usually a ravioli fanatic, but order it there every time. The pasta itself is worth it, but then they come up with sauces, cheese & other fillings, & sides that make it exquisite. Finally, it's just absolutely pleasant, small but not cramped, genuinely friendly & attentive staff.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at Amelia's. The salmon special was perfectly cooked, and side dishes were also excellent. Service was attentive but also allowed us to relax and enjoy our meal.
What a great neighborhood restaurant! The cocktail list is interesting and delicious. THe homemade pasta was out of this world. A great night out.
The food was very mediocre, Not enough selection on the menu
Cold air inside the restaurant,
The bread and the tapenade that was served in the beginning had no flavor at all.
Nobody came to ask how is the dinner?
Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the mood, the style... Martin makes the whole experience with his wit and personality.
I chose Amelia's Trattoria for its proximity to the Kendall Square Cinemas. Amelia's is a very small restaurant, although the large windows looking out on the street keep it from feeling confined. The service was expert and attentive. My husband and I (having eaten too much popcorn at the movie) split a Caesar salad; my husband thought the dressing was a bit heavy on anchovies (while I didn't notice--and I hate anchovies). For our main courses, we chose spaghetti and parpadelle--both were very good, and amply-portioned. A glass of Super Tuscan paired well with our meals. However we found room to split dessert (creme brulee--yum), I don't know!
Cozy, and adorable. Food was terrific. Would recommend reservations however.
Phenomenal! Food, service, and wine make for the perfect night in a quiet, intimate setting. Love this place.
The food was great, very flavorful and well prepared. Our was friendly and very accommodating.
We have been wanting to dine at Amelia's for a long time. Finally made reservations with friends and we were not disappointed. As a vegetarian, there were not a lot of choices but tasty accommodations were made. The noise level was typical ie loud. and seating felt tight..heavy coats . But it is winter and it is not a hotel restaurant with space to spare. Carpeting might absorb some of the noise. I was glad we were in a corner.
Something went wrong with the tomsto sauce and meatballs, ?chlorine. Everything was over salted and otherwise poorly done.
Great pasta. Great service. Small neighborhood spot. Tables are a little tight.
Wonderful meal - the salmon was delicious... an unusual rich tomato-based sauce, great accompanying veggies, and the salmon was cooked perfectly... the bread and humus dip is very special, and the crispy calamari appetizer was creatively prepared.... You are in for a treat!
This is our second time and both times we ate at the bar and it was wonderful.
I've been here a few times and the food has always been amazing. The service is great and every dish is outstanding. It's cozy and feels like restaurants you see in Italy.
As always, lovely atmosphere & good, reasonably priced wine list. Big problem for me - few options for vegetarians. We’ve come 4-5 times in the last year & veggie options never change. Somewhat overpriced pasta, gnocchi are delicious but overwhelmed by brown butter after first several bites. If there were more variety for me I’d give it 5 stars.
Second time we've dined here and once again, a really nice meal.
Had to wait longer than our reservation time. They made up for it by a complimentary glass of wine at the bar while we waited. Food and service were, and always is fantastic.
We loved it and the food was very good!!!!
The food was delicious and accommodations were made when I requested to omit ingredients from the entree. Would recommend if you want a cozy and intimate dining with an open kitchen.
The food was wonderful, service was good, I felt bad or server had to work with the rest of the tables around him, the busser did their share of the work, felt a little cramped in my seat but good experience overall.
Thank you Amelia’s!
Outstanding food and wonderful small venue!
The Cioppino was excellent. The waiter and chef were willing to accomodate a special request for the swordfish, too! Very good!
Very good meal, loved the bolognese. Service was attentive without being overwhelming. Only negative was the right fit of the tables. Would/will return.
Amelia's is a great restaurant. Everything was delicious, from cocktails to appetizers, pasta and dessert. Will definitely return.
How wonderful to actually be able to have a conversation!... AND dine with simple and perfectly prepared food.
Wonderful neighborhood Italian. Martin took good care of us!
Amelia's is awesome! Delicious food and extremely accommodating in one of the coziest Italian restaurants in Cambridge.
loved our experience ..everything was absolutely delicious with top notch service !
I arrived about ten minutes early and a waiter told our table wasn’t ready (totally understandable) although there were plenty of empty tables. He didn’t offer me if I’d to wait at the bar and just walked away (and yes, he was rude; I figured he was having a bad day.) The restaurant has a rather small and intimate space so when I stood there and waited, it was really just awkward. After about two minutes I felt so awkward because by that time it was awkward for me to ask if I can wait at the bar, so I left to take a walk outside before my friend arrived. After a few minutes, my friend arrived and we went in. Even at 6 sharp, which was our reservation time, the table wasn’t ready. We waited. Got seated past our time. After dinner, while we were having dessert, we got moved to the bar because they were lacking tables. They did offer a free extra glass of wine (that is, IF we were to order more) which we said no-thank-you to. I’m a frequent eater at Amelia’s and there’s usually this wonderful guy who remembers me every time I go and I had the most amazing experience every time I went, but this particular night was absolutely bizarre.
Service was attentive but not rushed. Food very authentic. Started with meatballs. Excellent. Every thing that came from kitchen looked wonderful.
Pasta is always deliciously prepared with a generous amount of beef. Beet salad was pleasantly crunchy with almonds and good amount of goat cheese.
Our favorite restaurant in the Kendall Square area. The food is always exceptional, the feeling intimate, delicious wines, the staff friendly, helpful yet professional. A unique find ..a haven away from a noisy crazy world.
It's a very intimate setting, with a nice menu. We had two salads, split an entree, and an appetizer. The soup of the day was loaded with seafood, but not as spicy as we had hoped. However it was delicious. All the portions were generous. Wait staff was attentive, but not overbearing.
Cozy restaurant with tasty food on a frosty evening!
Never disappointed here. Found it by accident several years ago and visit 2-3 times a year. We like the coziness of the place, the staff is always friendly and helpful and the food is always awesome. Our only "negative" observation is that the menu hasn't changed for some period of time, although the specials generally give some additional options.
I have eaten at Amelia's three times now and I am convinced that it is my favorite Italian restaurant in Cambridge. The food is excellent; the dishes are well thought out and properly portioned, and delicious. Pricing is right on point, and the staff do everything they can to make your experience enjoyable and special. I love the small size, as it makes every patron feel special.
Food was excellent. Service was good but could be better. Out of Disaronno on a Saturday night. Overall, the food, ambiance, location, and night was great! We will be going back for sure!
