Was expecting something better based on the reviews. The food was just OK, many better options in the area. The service was slow, they seemed understaffed. We were seated outdoors on a nice weather evening, but the street was quite noisy. Won't rush back.
A long-time favorite, but missed the mark a little this time. Service was spotty, and almost a little surly. I’m gonna chalk it up to pandemic staffing challenges. Food was still top. Hoping they’ll be back on form next time.
Awesome, as always!
Had dinner at Amelia’s with my two daughters. The steak frites was excellent, and my daughters loved their pasta dishes (both had spaghetti and meatballs).
Went to celebrate my friends bday. It was a great experience! Good food and cocktails.
Excellent find. Food was literally outstanding with exceptional service.
Fabulous service, DELICIOUS FOOD!!!!! Highly recommend!
We’ve been coming to Amelia’s for years and we’re SO happy it survived the pandemic and we were able to go for our 45th Anniversary ❤️❤️
My boyfriend and I have visited many high scale Italian restaurants within Boston (North End, Cambridge, Seaport etc) and Amelias is the only restaurant we both agreed that we have to return to! The service was excellent, the food was to die for good and the drinks were exceptional. For my meal, I ordered the Bolognese which was by far the best bolognese dish I ever had. You could taste how fresh the ingredients were and the pasta was definitely handmade. My boyfriend ordered the lobster ravioli which was also delicious. Would definitely recommend!!!
The highlight of our visit centered on service. Our wait person was outstanding, knows the menu well, and offered good recommendations however our pasta dishes were ordinary. Still, we intend to return and try other items on the menu.
Amelia's has a terrific atmosphere for an intimate dinner. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. The quality and portions of dishes were outstanding. Highly recommend the carbonara. The wild mushroom Papparadelle was delicious....and having it and other Gluten Free options was a huge plus! You can tell that fresh, high quality ingredients are used throughout. Cocktails were balanced and well made. This was a great way to start back into "post-reopening" dining out!
Great upscaled home style Italian food! Find specialty cocktail (A fancy old fashion with the bitters frozen into the ice cube.) and attractive decor. Small and cozy and I liked it a lot. Great for a date.
P surprised has such a high rating, I wish I could say the food was good but we were disappointed given price. Did not get more than halfway through either dish before leaving. Would personally steer my friends away from this place and toward gran gusto/guilia/pammys/north end
Recommended to me. Food, service, ambiance were all exceptional!
The food was wonderful, unfortunately the restaurant appeared to be understaffed and it was uncomfortably hot during the late dinner hour
It was such a lovely time and staff were wonderful.
We love Amelias. It is small but beautiful! The chef is consistently excellent and the wait staff remembers us and greets us with bigs smiles.
We really get the royal treatment. We did take out for a year but last night celebrated at Amelias for our FIRST night out I’m ages!!!
Visiting Cambridge we stumbled upon Amelia’s. The food, the service, more importantly the wine were amazing. I would highly recommend the polenta and the pappardelle, but honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything there.
Very good food, pasta is fresh, good wine collection and very nice staff!
Perfect! We had the most delicious shrimp scampi and lobster ravioli! Warm bread and olive oil + Cesar salad to start. Classy, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Very fine service.
Amelia's is by far my favorite place to dine in Cambridge. The food, the wine, the service and the vibe are all exceptional. Owners Delio and Rebecca Susi have created a beautiful, local gem by putting their love and care into it over many years, and I'm so thrilled to see that it has not only survived but is beginning to thrive again! 💜
Overall, the service was okay - the place was very understaffed, but the servers were doing their best. However, the food was pretty poor quality for the price. The noodles were quite a ways past al dente and the sauce was severely lacking flavor (very under seasoned). We were also seated in a pretty dark area without lighting, which is pretty not ideal for an evening meal.
Unfortunately there was only one server and bartender on staff tonight so service was terrible. We waited 10 minutes to be seated and then another 15 to even get a menu which we had to request. We waited another 30 minutes without any contact with the server even though she came next to us to clear a table. We never got any water, silverware or anyone to even take our drink order before we decided to leave. It was unfortunate as we were very excited to try this place out but their staffing issue was a big problem. I hope they figure this out!
Love the ambiance of this small bistro, and the food was delicious!
Delicious food and wine. Fantastic service and just a lovely romantic place for dinner.
The food was very greasy and overpriced. My pasta was swimming in oil, and my sister's chicken was as well.
Amazing food. TERRIBLE service. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the Cambridge area so worth trying for the food alone but be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes to get your order in, 40 minutes for your food and another 30+mins for your dessert and check. We never got water refills and the waiter never brought our second drinks. Had to walk up to the actual bar to be able to pay. They were nice enough to not charge us for drinks or desserts, only they gave us the wrong dessert to go.
Food and cocktails were great! The servers seemed to be doing the best they could while being short staffed. It took awhile to get our food, but the servers were very friendly and accommodating.
It was great.
We had a great time; the staff was amazing and the food was great. They were a little jammed when we were there but they kept a smile on their faces and since we were in no rush it didn't matter. Drinks were generous. Loved the grilled octopus as well as the meatballs :)
Amelia’s is the best kept secret in Boston/Cambridge dining. The food is: incredibly delicious, fresh, and plenty. This night we celebrated a special occasion but don’t wait for a special day. You won’t regret it.
Great service and food
Went for a Valentine’s Day date and everything was amazing! My boyfriend got the ravioli with bolognese and I got gnocchi. Highly recommend for a dates because of the ambiance.
Amelia’s always has incredible Italian dishes without the craziness of the North End. The Pappardelle is absolutely velvety, and the staff is so nice!
Very nice spot with excellent and helpful service. We came on Valentine’s Day but it was freezing outdoors and they did not have enough lantern fluid for
Went here for Valentine’s Day 2021 with my significant other. We had a reservation and were forced to wait outside in the freezing cold for an hour and fifteen minutes until we were seated (along with a bunch of others with reservations standing in a line out the door). The food was good and the staff excellent, but absolutely horrendous job by management overbooking for the evening.
I wish I lived closer so I could go more often
Had to wait over an hour to get a table even with the reservation. Good food made up for it
Lovely food and very attentive service even though we were sitting outside; the temperature was below 40 but the patio heater did a fine job.
